  • James Alexander

    James is responsible for developing and delivering thought leadership to help Info-Tech customers unlock the potential of technology as a transformative force within their businesses.

    James has been both an entrepreneur and an executive in the technology industry over the past 25 years. As an entrepreneur, he led retail, VAR and system integration organizations including, CTI Solutions Group, EduConnect, Telesolutions Inc, The Stone Soup Software Co, and Metafore, and has also held a senior sales management position at Microsoft Canada.

    Since 2002 James has turned his attention to working with across the spectrum of IT leaders, technology suppliers and their partners to help create a synergistic and effective ecosystem. He works with IT and business leaders to help them realize the full potential of technology in their businesses and has designed and implemented an innovative series of programs including “The Quest for the Smartest IT”.

    James was twice named to Channel Business Magazine’s “Who’s Who” listing as well as being a Newsmaker of the Year in Computer Dealer News. He is quoted on technology issues in both the business and trade press and is a frequent speaker at events and conferences.

  • David Black

    David Black is senior vice president and chief information officer for CHS Inc., the North America’s leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company. In his role, Black leads the CHS global information technology organization and is responsible for strategy, implementation, delivery and operation of information technology for CHS businesses around the world.

    Prior to joining CHS in 2014, Black served as vice president, Information Technology, at Monsanto Company where he was responsible for all aspects of information technology for its global commercial businesses. During his 20 years with Monsanto, he held positions including vice president, Corporate Strategy, and president, Monsanto Agro-Services, LLC, a role in which he was responsible for new business development and the operation of that company’s geographic information systems and remote sensing subsidiary, EarthMap Solutionssm.  He also held a broad range of global IT and enterprise resource roles including responsibility for North America and Latin America North IT, leadership assignments in Asia Pacific and Canada, along with global enterprise resource planning for core business transactions including finance, manufacturing and human resources, and the consolidation and reporting of data from these business processes.

    Black is a member of the CHS Extended Leadership Team and CHS Ag and Enterprise Strategy Leadership Team.  He is currently vice chairman of Ag Gateway, a non-profit consortium of more than 220 businesses serving the agriculture industry which strives to promote, enable and expand e-business in agriculture. He is past chairman of RAPID an agriculture industry non-profit and past president of the Ag CIO Roundtable.

    Black holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Tarkio College, Tarkio, Mo.

    David Chaiken is the CTO of Altiscale, which operates Big Data analytics systems for its customers.  He comes to Altiscale from Yahoo, where he served as the company's Chief Architect. At Yahoo, he led teams building consumer advertising and media systems with Apache Hadoop at their core. Over his career, David has also built voice-search products for consumers, mobile applications for enterprises, network management systems, project management software, large-scale multiprocessor architectures, a tablet computer, and several information appliances. David earned a ScB in Chemistry and Mathematics from Brown University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

    Jamey Cummings is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s Global Technology Practice. He co-lead’s the Firm’s Global Cybersecurity Practice and is also a member of the Firm’s Information Officers Practice.

    Mr. Cummings is a recognized leader in advising organizations on the recruitment, assessment, development, and retention of information technology as well as information security & risk management talent at all levels, including the Board of Directors. His clients range from large global corporations to high growth entrepreneurial companies, spanning all industries. In addition to Chief Information Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and their key leaders, he also recruits cybersecurity consultants for leading professional services firms as well as top executives for cybersecurity technology companies and managed security services providers. He is based in the Firm’s Dallas office.

    Prior to Korn Ferry, Mr. Cummings served as an associate principal in the industrial, supply chain, and transportation & logistics practices of another leading executive search firm, where he executed senior executive search assignments for both public and private equity-backed companies. He also served clients in the consumer & retail, technology, government & defense, biotechnology, and education sectors.

    Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Cummings was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas, where he worked on a wide variety of projects with clients in the aerospace & defense, consumer finance, telecommunications, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education industries.
    Earlier in his career, he served nine years with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Navy's SEAL teams.

    He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University, and graduated with merit with a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering from The United States Naval Academy.

    Johnny Dranchak is the CTO,  CoreTech App Studio at General Electric.  Prior to joining GE, Johnny was the  CTO and VP of WSJ Digital at Dow Jones.  As a consultant he has led Agile Transformations for MTV/Nickelodeon, KPMG, Macy's, JP Morgan, Mizuho and Subway. Johnny has also been responsible for architecting and building large scale systems for clients such as Nestle, Bank of America and Microsoft.

    Sarah Engstrom is Chief Information Security Officer at CHS, Inc. Located in Inver Grove Heights, MN, this Fortune 100 company is a farmer-owned cooperative in energy, agriculture and financial services - serving a diverse set of domestic and international customers. She joined CHS in December 2015 and is responsible for building an information security program that spans governance, compliance, architecture and incident management. 

    Sarah spent the last 13 years of her career with Target in a senior leadership role for both Information Technology and Information Security organizations. She has experienced and navigated significant challenges as well as multiple organizational changes in the security industry. She is excited to bring her expertise to a new organization and establish a program that supports culture, builds trust and fosters open collaboration and problem-solving.

Rahoul’s earlier career was with Honeywell Inc where he spent over 18 years in various leadership positions, in IT as well as in Manufacturing Operations, Audit, and Marketing.

    Rahoul has been an invited speaker to China’s National Software Symposium at Chengdu. He also serves on the Board of the MacPhail center for Music in Minnesota. Rahoul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

    Prior to joining Jack Link's, Jackie held a variety of senior leadership positions with Target Corporation and delivered technology solutions across multiple platforms and domains including; Business Intelligence, International Expansion and Target's Supply Chain.  While her most recent employers, and their cultures, are dramatically different, Jackie's leadership style is consistent.  Mindfully caring about people, contributing to the bottom line and building authentic relationships are core values - transcending organizational size and structure.

    In 2011, Douglas Hegley joined the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) as its first Director of Media and Technology, arriving after 14 years at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he was the General Manager of Digital Strategy. His earlier career included stints in higher education and in pediatrics research. Mr. Hegley brings extensive expertise in digital strategy; new media; social networking; web and mobile apps; content production, archiving, and distribution; and information technology and technical support. With degrees in Psychology from Adelphi University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has strived to bridge the gap that can form between technology and people by emphasizing clarity and communication. Mr. Hegley currently sets the vision and strategy for all technology and digital media efforts at Mia, and aims to deliver engaging stories to all audiences via digital channels. He has been recognized by his peers as a leader in the field, is a frequent public speaker, and has served on the boards and committees of regional and national cultural heritage organizations, including the Minnesota Association of Museums, the Museum Computer Network (president in 2011), Museums and the Web, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Journal of Digital Media Management, and the New Media Consortium.

Before joining Land O’Lakes, he held a breadth of roles at Ingersoll Rand, AlliedSignal and several start-ups, G5 Technologies and Multi-Media Solutions.  Macrie has an M.B.A. from Duke University and a B.S. from Cornell University in Applied & Engineering Physics.

Additionally, Mike has led many other key initiatives such as culture change, planning & strategy, process, service management & delivery and compliance.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from New York Institute of Technology and is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity at Penn State University.  Mike enjoys living on a golf course in Wisconsin, working out in the gym, and trips to his cabin in Orlando during the winter!

    Her career, prior to Donaldson, spans more than 30 years during which she served as VP of Global Technology; Business Alignment at HB Fuller, Chief Information Officer & Vice President of Operations at Young America Corporation and Vice President of Information Services at Norstan.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

    Mary Lynne is a seasoned executive who has led growth in public and private companies in the areas of application and technology services, product management, and company operations leadership. 

    In addition to serving on the YWCA of Minneapolis Board of Directors, she serves on the Advisory Board for the University of St Thomas Masters in Technology Program.  Mary Lynne also serves as Chair of the Board for Genesys Works of Minneapolis.

    Prior to HealthEast, William served as Information Security Director at Ameriprise Financial where he led the Identity Management program.   William also led the GRC programs for Ameriprise and GMAC ResCap and consulted at Best Buy through Accenture to help establish their global technology compliance program and software development methodologies.

    William holds a CISA and CRISC certification and is recognized in the information security community for knowledge, vision and leadership in the areas of Identity, Compliance, and Risk Management.  He has been asked to attend a number of CISO forums and roundtables and has spoken at elite events such as the Gartner Identity conference.

An experienced board member, entrepreneur, and investor in emerging companies, Thibodeau has made companies successful by creating highly productive teams focused on strategic planning, customer relationships, sound business practices, and innovative uses for new and existing technologies. Ms. Thibodeau  has served in top executive positions in the technology and financial industries since 1986, when she was vice president and later president of the largest computer training facility in the Midwest. She has been president of Milestone Investments, Inc. a national hotel investment company, and was president of Arco Transcription, Inc. one of the nation’s largest medical transcription companies. Ms. Thibodeau has since served as president of EDI Solutions, a translation software developer, and negotiated the merger of EDI with St. Paul Software where she served as executive vice president until taking the helm of Charter Solutions. Throughout her career, Thibodeau’s leadership has extended to serving on the boards of directors of more than a dozen companies including Dri-Steem, The Credit Company, Microworx, Arco Transcription, Milestone Investments, EDI Solutions, HCMC Advisory Board, as well as on boards of trade, professional and non-profit organizations.  Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of BRAAS, M Health, Women’s Health Leadership Trust, Minnesota High Tech Association, and Minnesota Visiting Nurses Agency. Ms Thibodeau also started  Minnesota Women Corporate Directors and is on the Advisory Board for Women in the Boardroom. Ms. Thibodeau has been on the Governance, Nominating and Compensation Committees of many boards and well suited to serve on these committees. Ms. Thibodeau has received numerous awards for her success in leadership, her business results and her advocacy for women entrepreneurs and for women serving on boards.  She received a Lifeline Award from Upsize magazine in 2007; the Minnesota Business Owner of the Year award from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in 2004; and recognition as one of the “Top 25 Innovative Women” by the Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal, one of 500 Top Diversity Awards in the US and the Jean Harris Award in 2012 from the Women’s Health Leadership Trust. Thibodeau is an alumna of the University of Minnesota, Mankato, and of the Executive Management Development Program at University of St. Thomas, St, Paul. She has received leadership awards and recognition from The Business Journal, Div 500, Twin Cities E-Commerce Forum and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
