During his tenure at those companies, Rafi defined strategies, initiated, and drove programs to implement ERP, CRM, SCM, HCM, PLM BI, Portals and other enterprise systems, oversaw M&A and divestiture activities, architected and deployed cloud infrastructure and applications, and modernized communications and collaboration services. Rafi also lead cyber security and risk management programs and regulatory compliance initiatives.

    In addition to his expertise in Information Technology, Rafi held a variety of executive responsibilities leading business development, supply chain, customer support and manufacturing engineering functions for 15 years at Flextronics International and National Semiconductor, both global leaders in the electronics and semiconductor industries.

He holds a master’s degree in computer science from JSU and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University.

During his 6 years as CIO at Symantec, Mark’s leadership in IT was instrumental in supporting the company’s transformation from $600 million consumer software publisher to a $5 billion market leader of enterprise security solutions. He held senior level positions with companies in a variety of industries, including Sun Microsystems, Price Waterhouse, and Wells Fargo Bank.

    Mark holds a master’s degree in finance and international business from University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences from University of Clarion. Mark developed and taught a graduate class, “Building Business Value through IT Innovation”, at the Haas School of Business at University of California at Berkeley.

    John Engates joined Rackspace in August 2000, just a year after the company was founded, as Vice President of Operations, managing the datacenter operations and customer-service teams. Two years later, when Rackspace decided to add new services for larger enterprise customers, John created and helped develop the Intensive Hosting business unit.

    Most recently, John has played an active role in the evolution and evangelism of Rackspace’s cloud-computing strategy and cloud products. John meets frequently with customers to hear about their needs and concerns, and to discuss Rackspace’s vision for the future of cloud computing. John currently serves as Chief Technology Officer.

    Prior to joining Rackspace, John was a founder and General Manager at Internet Direct, one of the original Internet service providers in Texas.

    Rajiv Gupta is a Co-Founder and CEO of Skyhigh Networks. He has more than 20 years of successful enterprise software and security experience, and is widely recognized as a pioneer of Web Services. Prior to founding Skyhigh, Rajiv was the VP/GM of the Policy Management Business Unit within Cisco where his team was responsible for products that enable customers to administer, enforce, and audit standards-based, consistent access policies across the IT stack. Rajiv’s team at Cisco delivered the Identity Services Engine, a product that won the coveted Pioneer Award in Cisco and is considered to be a game changer for Cisco. Rajiv joined Cisco when it acquired Securent Inc, a company in the application entitlement market and where he was the Founder and CEO. Prior to Securent, he was a Co-Founder and CEO of Confluent Software, a company in the policy-based web-services management market and which was acquired by Oblix/Oracle. Before founding Confluent, Rajiv spent 11 years at Hewlett-Packard. In his last position there he was General Manager of the E-speak Division – a division he started in 1998 to bring the Client-Utility Computing technology to market that he and his team developed at HP Labs. E-speak delivered some of the earliest Web Services technologies and standards and has been inducted into the Smithsonian National Museum. Rajiv’s work on Client-Utility Computing was the precursor to Cloud Services as we know them today. With more than 45 patents to his name, Rajiv is the inventor or co-inventor of some of the seminal concepts that underpin Web Services. Rajiv earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology and his PhD in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology.

    Chris Jacquet is Hitachi Data Systems’ vice president, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) since February 2016. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security program to protect HDS’ information assets. He is identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security risks to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Chris also leads enterprise security programs including security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, identity management, network security, disaster recovery and risk policies.      An accomplished executive with outstanding security, risk management and compliance expertise, Chris has a proven track record of providing strategic direction and high-touch seamless global support with agility—skills that helps to adjust to rapidly-changing business dynamics.     Previously, Chris was Sr. director of Cloud Security and Compliance Architecture at Marketo Inc., a key vendor of Digital Marketing cloud application. He built and led cross-functional teams to secure Marketo’s software products. Chris’ prior roles include senior director Global IT Security, Compliance, Risk Management and Governance at Symantec, and a 26 years career at Hewlett-Packard where he held several roles associated to security, compliance and risk management in HP’s outsourcing services business unit.    Chris has a marketing certificate from UC Berkeley and an engineering degree in computer science from Institut National des Sciences Appliqués (Lyon, France).

    Debra Jensen is the CIO for Charlotte Russe, a mall-based specialty retailer of apparel and accessories for women in their teens and twenties with over 550 locations as well as ecommerce and mobile.   She is responsible for the technology including  strategic planning, architecture, security and compliance, analytics and business intelligence, merchandising and store systems, omni-channel and supply chain.

    Debra is a Board Director for Self-Esteem Brands (Anytime Fitness), a privately held international fitness company with over 2700 locations, focused on growth and expansion through franchising and multiple brands.  She is also a member the advisory board for California State San Marcos Business Information Systems program.

    Jensen served on the board of the San Diego Data Processing Corporation, a not-for-profit provider of government information technology solutions. Debra was previously  CIO for Jack in the Box Inc., and was  VP of Development for Longs Drug Stores Corp., a major retail drug store chain based in Walnut Creek, Calif.

Tony specializes in CIO search and is a frequent speaker at CIO conferences.     Steve Phillpott was named Chief Information Officer for Western Digital Corporation in October 2015. Prior to this, he was CIO for HGST, a Western Digital brand. As the CIO of Western Digital, he oversees the worldwide IT department encompassing infrastructure and operations, global applications, enterprise data management and IT security.     Prior to joining HGST, Steve was CIO for Amylin Pharmaceuticals, a leading provider of drugs for the treatment of diabetes.  Steve was previously the CIO of Proflowers.com, a high-volume e-commerce retailer, and the VP of IT for Global Enterprise Applications at Invitrogen (now Thermo Fisher Scientific).  Prior to that, he held various leadership positions at companies including Memec (Avnet), Gateway and Qualcomm. 

    A recognized industry expert, Steve has received numerous industry awards. Most recently, he was recognized among Computerworld’s top 100 IT leaders for 2016. Additionally, he was named a finalist in the Public Company category in the Bay Area CIO of the Year Awards for 2016.     Most recently, Naresh was Vice President and CIO of the HP Printing & Personal Systems Group, which included IT responsibilities for engineering and globally deploying Supply Chain, HP.com, Marketing, Communications and Big Data/Analytics solutions. 

    Prior to joining HP’s Printing and Personal Systems Group, Naresh was Vice President and CIO for Palm, Inc., where he had management responsibility for the IT strategy and all of the company’s IT assets. In addition, Naresh was instrumental in launching the webOS products and platform to enable the App Catalog, mobile commerce and cloud services, as well as webOS.com e-commerce operations. 

    Prior to joining Palm, Naresh was responsible for managing Agilent Technologies’ enterprise business solutions organization, delivering customer-facing and supply chain solutions worldwide. 

    Naresh began his career at HP in the Medical Products Group, where he led the GBU’s IT team that was responsible for delivering applications and infrastructure solutions and services worldwide, as well as integrating acquisitions into the business. He also was instrumental in establishing a joint venture manufacturing center in Qingdao, China. 

    Naresh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

    Pranab  Sinha  is the Vice President of corporate IT at Seagate Technology  where he oversees  the worldwide corporate IT  functions  that includes Operations and Infrastructure, Global Applications,  Analytics & Insights and key platforms like Identity & access management, Integration etc.   Leading an IT team across the continents, Pranab’s  responsibilities include everything from customer engagement, delivery and hosting of IT solutions to global and regional operational support and services.

    Pranab has managed several  large-scale business re-engineering and IT  re-platforming efforts including multiple M&A integration work.  He was the co-sponsor  for the  supply chain transformation work at Seagate resulting in the company getting ranked in Gartner's top 25 Supply chain companies in 2014 & 2015.  He has a deep focus on IT infrastructure transformation geared towards Cloud, open stack, commodity infrastructure and leveraging cloud as a platform, application and infrastructure to drive quick time to value.

    Mr. Steele has 47 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, corporate retail, wholesale, supply chain, merchandising, information technology (IT), dot.com profit & loss, and worldwide retail exchange functions.

    Prior to joining Delta Dental, he was involved in consulting and business development, and was active in establishing several technology companies that serve the retail sector.

    As a former member of the executive management team for a $37 billion retailer, Mr. Steele led numerous strategic projects, inclusive of both large and small mergers and acquisitions.

    Mr. Steele sits on the Advisory Board for a Venture Capital firm and is active in the evaluation of new companies for the firm to invest in.

    Mr. Steele is also a Board Member of Dignity Health, a large multi-state healthcare delivery company based in San Francisco.

    Mr. Steele holds a BA in Business Administration and a BS in Mathematics, both from the University in Washington.
