    Mr. Adefala has served in a variety of strategic technical and leadership roles that span several disciplines including enterprise network, mobility, data center and advanced cyber security solutions. As a FortiGuard Labs cyber security expert with Fortinet, Adefala advises and engages clients and executive leaders on solution strategies and risk management in a number of industry segments, including Financial, Healthcare, Retail, Utilities/Energy, and numerous federal and state government agencies. As a member of several advisory boards, he serves to influence and shape solution capabilities in the area of cyber security and has spoken at various forums on cyber security risk and threats aligned with business imperatives. Adefala’s research interests include cyber threat intelligence and data analytics. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty supporting students at Webster University’s Masters of Science – Cyber Security Program, where he engages participating students in the domains of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), network forensics, malware analysis and reverse engineering.

    Mark Brooks has over 28 years of experience in information technology (IT), large scale systems integrations, application development and eCommerce strategy.  Mr. Brooks joined Centene as Chief Information Officer in 2016.

    Prior to Centene, Mr. Brooks had a long career at Health Net, Inc., holding a variety of positions including director of Web Development, Vice President of Applications Development, and Chief Technology Officer.  In 2013 Mr. Brooks was promoted to Chief Information Officer, aligning all technology, project delivery, security, and production functions and capabilities across the Health Net enterprise.

    Mr. Brooks’ career began with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) where he had the opportunity to work in every phase of the systems development lifecycle.  He gained significant functional experience in enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and the Web.  Before that, Mr. Brooks was responsible for the online strategy, sales and marketing automation at Veritas (Symantec) Software.

    Mr. Brooks received his master’s degree in Business Administration and bachelor’s degree in Economics both from the University of California at Davis.

    When not working, Mr. Brooks and his wife are the proud parents of a 9 year old daughter and a 7 year old son.

    Trina Dyan Clark James, a native of St. Louis who grew up in the Ville neighborhood, is the Regional Director for NPower St. Louis.  NPower creates pathways to economic prosperity by providing FREE IT training and paid internships to young adults, ages 18 – 25, from under-resourced communities within the St. Louis metropolitan area who have earned a high school degree or GED.  The goal of our 22 week IT training program is to prepare our students to earn a CompTIA A+ Certification, learn from senior IT executives, and gain valuable experience that will support them in launching fulfilling and family-sustaining digital careers.  While new to St. Louis, NPower has a successful track record of results across North America:  over the past 5 years over 1000 graduates are in well-paid careers with room for income and professional growth.

    Prior to NPower, Ms. Clark James was the founder and CEO of Jamaa Learning Center, a high-performing full-service community charter public school that opened in August 2011.  Jamaa worked to provide quality educational and social services to not just its students, but also their families as well as residents in north St. Louis neighborhoods thereby contributing to the revitalization of what were once rich and vibrant African-American communities.  Jamaa grew from serving approximately 80 students in three (3) grades (Kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade) during the 2011 – 2012 school year to serving approximately 160 students in Kindergarten – 8th grade beginning with the 2013 – 2014 school year.

    Prior to founding Jamaa, she was the Executive Director of St. Louisans United To Attract KIPP (SUTAK), where she successfully led the efforts to secure the necessary human, financial, and capital resources required by Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) for the successful startup and growth of a cluster of KIPP schools in the city of St. Louis.  Her efforts resulted in St Louis being selected as the sole expansion site for KIPP in 2007 and the first KIPP St. Louis school, KIPP Inspire Academy, opening in July 2009.

    Prior to KIPP, Ms. Clark James completed the Broad Residency in Urban Education program at St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS), where she was the Special Assistant to Superintendent Creg Williams overseeing the development and implementation of various strategic projects aimed at achieving major public education reform within the SLPS district.

    She began her career in the San Francisco Bay Area as an engineer at Solectron, an electronics manufacturing company, later moving on to Pinnacle Systems, a video editing equipment manufacturer.  She spent the majority of her engineering career at Apple Computer, Inc. in a variety of roles at the Elk Grove, CA manufacturing site culminating with two leadership roles- New Products Program Manager and Site Test Engineering Manager.

    Ms. Clark James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, and a Master of Business Administration at University of California, Davis.

    She currently serves as the Assistant Treasurer for the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Vice Chair of the Forward Through Ferguson Board of Directors.

     

    Ms. Clark James is a proud mother to three (3) beautiful and bright children- Khalani (age 22), Liya (age 18), and Rhadi (age 11).  She credits her drive and accomplishments to the love and support of her grandparents, parents, and siblings.

    Prior to Centurylink, Andrew was Global Head Information Services at Visa responsible for over 150 data systems servicing millions of cardholders, merchants, and banks worldwide. Andrew was key to establishing Visa’s Enterprise Data Platform, including Visa’s first global consolidated Enterprise Data Warehouse, a comprehensive Data Quality Program, and a “Big Data” multi petabyte Central Analytic Environment. Before joining Visa, Andrew was Chief Information Officer at Inttra, which processes
    nearly 20% world’s shipping transactions.

    Prior as SVP of Data and Enterprise Architecture, he ran Expedia.com and Hotels.com Enterprise Architecture, Data Base Development, and Offshore Development Centers in China and India.

    Andrew has held executive IT positions at Regions Bank and also MasterCard where he implemented payment industry’s first Data Warehouses and Loyalty Rewards Systems.

    Andrew has a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1987, is a Desert Storm veteran, and earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1995.

Before joining Workday, Josh executed enterprise risk management at Yahoo! and served as an advisor at KPMG. He began his career as an analyst for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
