    John Mealia is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry's Toronto office and Canadian leader for the Firm’s Global Technology Market. With more than 15 years of search experience, Mr. Mealia focuses his recruiting efforts on placing high-impact, cross-functional executives within technology companies, as well as information system executives. He offers extensive experience to both client and vendor organizations serving the software, outsourcing, electronic, communications and wireless industries. Mr. Mealia is also a member of the firm’s Financial Officers Centre of Expertise and Global Financial Market, placing chief financial officers and senior executives in audit, compliance and tax. He has conducted numerous search assignments throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2000, Mr. Mealia worked for a boutique search firm, with the mandate to start a systems and technology practice. He became a partner and helped grow that practice significantly over a seven-year period. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mealia enjoyed a successful career with IBM, where he held senior sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility in both the U.S. and Canada. An avid sportsman, Mr. Mealia is a former board member of the Golf Association of Ontario and active in a number of charitable organizations. He combines his passion for sport and executive search best practices to hire leaders in the world of sports (Commissioner, CFL; Executive Director, Royal Canadian Golf Association). Mr. Mealia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and advertising from Indiana University.

    Lisa Porlier leads the Technology Sector in Canada. She is based in Toronto. Lisa joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 2004 from the University of Toronto where she was the Executive Director of the Capital Markets Institute, a policy institute focused on providing rigorous research guidance to policy makers on the competitiveness of the Canadian Capital markets. Previously, Lisa worked in investment banking with Scotia Capital Inc., for nine years. As a director and relationship manager, she led the firm's technology practice, working in mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings and corporate finance advisory. Lisa is past President of Women in Capital Markets, and Chair of the Heather L. Main Memorial Scholarship, where she has played an instrumental role in developing and implementing internship programs for women graduates of business schools. Lisa received her B.B.A. (with honors) from Wilfrid Laurier University and her M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

    Valerie Spriet is a Partner in the Toronto office of Egon Zehnder and has an extensive background in senior level search. She leads the CIO, IT Services and Technology & Communications practices in Canada and is a member of the global Technology & Communications practice.

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Valerie spent eight years with Cap Gemini in London, England in the global Telecom and Media practice where she provided strategic and business advice to a variety of companies across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Valerie led the Telecom and Technology Global Strategic Research Group where her work focused on defining leading-edge strategies. Prior to this, she worked for Johnson & Johnson.

    Valerie has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island.

  • Employed C-Level executives (non-vendor) or equivalent, CIOs, Direct Reports of CIOs, or Senior Most IT Professional in an organization with $200M or greater revenue, or from not-for-profit or government organizations with comparable size
