    Ms. Certoma is an industry leader in managing next-generation technology solutions for the financial services industry. As the former President of Brokerage Processing Services (BPS), she oversaw the technology strategy, product development and end-to-end service delivery for Broadridge’s suite of brokerage processing solutions. Her responsibilities included equity, option and mutual fund securities processing, the business process management suite, advisor and investor portals and distributed data products.

    Prior to Broadridge, Ms. Certoma worked as Chief Information Officer for the Corporate and the Investment Bank at Wachovia Corp. She also has held senior leadership positions in Technology & Operations with Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and First Boston.  At Goldman Sachs, she chaired committees on Women in Technology, Learning & Professional Development, Career Development and Project Management. She earned an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Management and Economics from St. John’s University.

    Prior to joining Amplify as a General Partner, Mike spent over six years at Battery Ventures, where he most recently lead early stage Enterprise investments on the West Coast.  Most recently, Mike sat on the Boards of Continuuity, Duetto, Interana and Platfora.  Mike also lead Battery's investment in a stealth security company which is also in Amplify's portfolio.  Mike previously invested in Splunk and RelateIQ, which was recently  acquired by Salesforce. He was named to Forbes' Midas Brink List earlier this year. Mike is a frequent speaker at conferences and is on the Advisory Board of both the O'Reilly Strata Conference as well as SXSW. Mike began his career as a hardware engineer at a start-up and later held product, business development, and sales roles at Altera and Xilinx.  He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.

    Chuck is a Consultant in the New York office and leads the Chief Information Officers Practice on the East Coast.  He brings deep expertise in Chief Information Officer searches across numerous industries including Financial Services, Life Sciences, Industrial, Technology, and Public Sector .

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Chuck was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan in its Treasury & Securities Services (TSS) division. With TSS, he served as the Chief of Staff for the Global Head of Treasury Services Operations.  He was also a member of the TSS Strategy team where he had responsibility for leading strategy projects and executing M&A transactions. Previously, Chuck was a Director at Liberty Mutual Group where he worked on the Corporate M&A and Corporate Strategy teams.  Chuck also worked in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston.

    Prior to pursuing an MBA at the Wharton School, Chuck worked as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company serving clients across a variety of industries.  He also worked as an Applications Developer at TenFold Corporation, a software company focused on developing large-scale applications.

  • Cindy Harro
    Security, Compliance and Risk Program Director, Healthcare Cloud
    IBM Watson Health

    In Cindy’s current role as IBM Security, Compliance and Risk Management Director, she is responsible for ensuring that IBM’s “Watson Platform for Health” Cloud  http://watsonhealth.ibm.com/Watson-Health-Core.html is secure and handles protected health information in accordance with global regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.  She provides guidance to 400 software developers by defining and verifying security and compliance controls in software designs, managing security vulnerability penetration testing and governing security risk.  Cindy is responsible for ensuring that the software environment is ready to pass all regulatory audits.

    In previous roles, Cindy was responsible for the global deployment of security compliance and risk management tools, for managing the 2-tier role based access controls for 2500 financial services employees and for the global compliance governance of hundreds of client accounts.

    Cindy’s success in leading the development of secure and regulatory compliant systems comes from her early beginnings as a software developer.  She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Computer Science and worked as a software developer, DBA and eventually manager of large scale custom SW development and ISV configuration projects.  This hands-on practitioner experience has given her the unique ability to “speak the language” of software developers, making compliance requirements understandable and easily executable, reducing compliance cost and development timelines. 

    Cindy studied the field of IT Auditing and earned the distinction of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 2015 after demonstrating years of experience related to the profession and mastering the competency exam.  She applies her ability to “think like an auditor” when defining, requesting and reviewing compliance evidence from IT teams, contributing to her success in passing IT audits. 

    Cindy has become a trusted advisor to senior executives on security and regulatory compliance topics, with the ability to make requirements and risks clear to non-technical business executives as well as technical executives.  She earned the distinction of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2016.

    Emmeline Kuhn works in Korn Ferry’s Global Financial Markets practice and serves as an advisor to many of Korn Ferry’s corporate clients within the operations and technology sectors. She has placed Chief Information and Technology Officers as well as Chief Operations Officers across multiple industries. Ms. Kuhn joined Korn Ferry from Fleishman Hillard, where she served as Managing Supervisor for the Global Financial Investor Relations and Communications Practice.

    In her role at Fleishman Hillard, she advised public companies on best investor relations practices. Clients included Aviva Plc, Avaya, General Motors, The CFA Institute, Ernst & Young, and others.

    Prior to her role at Fleishman Hillard, Ms. Kuhn served as Research Director at Icahn Associates. There, she was involved with business development and operations strategy for Icahn Enterprises, including efforts to propose and sustain corporate governance structures within the holding companies. She was also involved in fulfilling investor relations and communications duties for Icahn Associates.

    From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Kuhn worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management analyzing European financial and consumer staples companies for the Global Asset Allocation and Quantitative Strategy teams.

    Ms. Kuhn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of St. Andrews, Scotland and a Masters of Science in International Relations from London School of Economics. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and a committee member of the Central Park Conservancy in New York City. She sits on the YP Board of Susan G. Komen New York.

    Dr. Howard A. Rubin is a Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Hunter College of the City University of New York, a MIT CISR Research Affiliate, a Gartner Senior Advisor, a BCG Senior Advisor, and a former Nolan Norton Research Fellow. He is the founder and CEO of Rubin Worldwide.  In 1997, Industry Week named Dr. Rubin one of the top 50 “R&D Stars to Watch . . . an individual whose achievements are shaping the future of our industrial culture and America’s technology policy” as a result of his bringing the IT workforce shortage to national attention.

    Dr. Rubin is a pioneer in the area of digital & technology economics and has built the world's largest database in the field consisting of business, national, and technology data captured continuously since 1994.  Using this database Dr. Rubin monitors technology-economic trends across companies and organizations that account for roughly 20% of the world’s GDP and an equivalent amount of technology spending/investment.

    He is also the author of a Pearson/Financial Times video series on Technology Economics.  His Technology Economics column regularly appeared in Wall Street and Technology.  Dr. Rubin possesses a Ph.D. from the City University of New York in Computer Science and Oceanography.

    Outside the world of technology Dr. Rubin is former Chair of the Board of Riverkeeper and was honored in 2016 with a “Big Fish Emeritus” award with Leonardo DiCaprio and Ralph Lauren, a supporter of the Clinton Global Initiative, a Leadership Council member of the RFK Foundation, a major contributor to student development programs/Film Fellows at the Tribeca Film Institute, and a dedicated supporter of the Rainforest Foundation.   Dr. Rubin is also a member of The Recording Academy and recently became a member of the NRDC’s Global Leadership Council.

Before Kazeon in 2003, he was Co-founder & President of Sanera Systems, a next-generation SAN technology company.
