    Renee Arrington offers clients over 20 years’ experience in retained executive search. She excels in recruiting senior executive talent for Fortune 500 companies, private-equity-backed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She is a member the Pearson Partners board of directors and leads the firm’s Fort Worth office and CIO and IT leadership practice with clients in technology, retail, financial services, business services, distribution and R&D. Renee conducts searches for board members, presidents and executive directors among other senior leadership positions.

    Renee was named one of the top 40 Gatekeepers to the C-Suite by Hunt Scanlon Media, a search industry analyst. She is an active member of IIC Partners and the Association for Executive Search Consultants (AESC).

    Renee approaches each search consultatively. She understands her clients’ cultures and the types of leaders best suited to their business life cycles and challenges.     Prior to joining Pearson Partners in 2006, Renee was a vice president in the technology practice of a global retained search firm, and was previously a shareholder and partner in the technology practice of another global firm.

    In addition to serving on Pearson Partners’ board of directors, Renee serves on the boards of directors of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) North Texas Chapter and the Foundation for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth. She is an executive committee member of Dallas Executive Women’s Roundtable (EWR) and a member of Fort Worth’s Women Steering Business (WSB). Renee has previously served on the board of North Texas Public Broadcasting (NPR Affiliate) and was board chairman of both the YWCA of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and the Fort Worth Westside YMCA.

    Renee is a frequent speaker at the HMG Strategy CIO Summits around the country. She has written a monthly column for CIO Decisions magazine and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, CareerJournal.com, IT World, Network World and Business Process Outsourcing: The Competitive Advantage (Wiley 2005). She was honored among the finalists in D CEO’s 2016 CIO/CTO Awards in the Technology Advocate category

    Renee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Trinity University and studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris. She and her husband, Michael, live in Fort Worth.

    Lev Gonick is an educator, technologist, and smart city architect. He has been teaching, working, and living on the Net for more than 25 years.

    On November 1, Lev became the Chief Information Officer at Arizona State University. He will lead the ASU University Technology Office that provides technology services to all students, faculty, and staff.  He is also cofounder of DigitalC, previously OneCommunity, the award-winning non-profit organization enabling and celebrating innovation, collaboration, and productivity through next-generation broadband networks, big open data solutions, and IoT for public benefit.

    Lev was CIO at Case Western Reserve University from 2001-2013. He and his colleagues were internationally recognized for technology innovations in community engagement, learning spaces, next-generation network projects, and organizational development. Lev's innovations, including the Case Connection Zone, catalyzed national projects such as US Ignite and Gig.U.

    Inside Business Magazine named Lev one of their Power 100 in 2015. In 2011, Government Technology awarded Lev one of their "Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers in Public-Sector Innovation." In the same year, Crain's Business Cleveland named Gonick one its "10 Difference Makers" in Northeast Ohio, and Broadband Properties honored him with their Cornerstone Award for "using fiber to build an inclusive society and empower individuals." In 2010, he received recognition as "Visionary of the Year" from NATOA. Lev has been recognized by ComputerWorld as a Premier 100 IT leader and honored by CIO magazine with a CIO 100 Award.

    Frank J. Grimmelmann is President & CEO/Intelligence Liaison Officer for the non-profit Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance ("ACTRA"), independent of, but closely affiliated with the FBI's AZ InfraGard Program. In this capacity, Mr. Grimmelmann represents the private sector in the Arizona Counterterrorism Information Center ("ACTIC"), and is the first private sector representative on its Executive Board. ACTRA’s Members include both public and private sector organizations. He also serves as the private sector cyber intelligence liaison to the FBI, the ACTIC, and the FBI's Arizona InfraGard Program. ACTRA's focus is to enable private/public sector Member Organizations to empower themselves to respond to the escalating national cyber threat, and to leverage InfraGard's vast private sector volunteer membership as a force multiplier in protecting our Nation's critical infrastructure and National Security interests. ACTRA serves Member Organizations across 14 USDHS Critical sectors across the Southwest, those with intellectual property to protect and those that could have a major economic impact. It also supports SMB solutions through leveraging select managed security service solution (MSSPs) providers. Mr. Grimmelmann serves as the National Co-Chair for the recently formed Information Sharing & Analysis Organization Standards Organization’s (‘ISAO SO’) ‘ISAO Creation Workgroup’ at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), created under the President’s Executive Order 13691. Prior to ON Semiconductor, he was vice president and CIO for Biomet LLC ($2.4Bn) where he was a member of their executive team which transformed Biomet in preparation for an IPO. Prior to Biomet he was vice president and CIO at ArivnMeritor Inc. ($10Bn). He has been progressively promoted in his career as well as held positions with global companies overseas. Mr. Haskew holds a master of science (MSc) in IT and change management and a masters in business administration (MBA). He also maintains memberships in the British Computer Society as a fellow, Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and Chartered Engineer (CEng).

    Nilesh is the Vice President of IT at Southwest Kidney Institute and he provides the technology vision and drives innovation to deliver business solutions and improve operational efficiency. He leads the analytics team to provide population health strategies through enhanced data integration capabilities such as data mining and predictive modeling platform. Most recently, Nilesh was the Chief Information Officer of Newtek Business Services Corp. (NASDAQ: NEWT) a provider of business and financial solutions. Prior, Nilesh led the new product launches and strategic initiatives for Cigna Healthcare's Group and Voluntary benefits segment. Before Cigna Healthcare, he established the IT Program Management Office (IT PMO) at Republic Services.  He also spent several years at Wells Fargo and Target Corporation developing and implementing business solutions.

    Nilesh holds an MBA in International Business from W.P. Carey School of Business at the Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (first class with honors) from University of Mumbai (Bombay), India.  He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the distinguished National Scholars and Honor Society, Society of Information Management (SIM), and Phoenix CIO Roundtable Forum.

While at the telephone company, he was founder and Chairman of its ISP and a board member of its 2 million-subscriber cell phone subsidiary. 

    Tony uses his operating experience from being a CEO, financial background as a CPA and CA, and technical knowledge from the work that he has done for Tech companies to drill down and understand at a nuanced level what his clients are seeking to achieve as they build their teams. He has written numerous papers on technology leadership and the challenges facing technology leaders today and authors a blog, ‘Resources for the Modern CIO” (www.tonyleng.com).

    The core of Tony’s consulting has been with senior leaders who are seeking to transform their organizations as they face a future of rapid change, digitization, regulation, shifting markets, and increasingly connected and informed customers.

    Prior to Zenoss, Marcus managed the ProSupport portfolio of enterprise hardware and software support offerings worldwide at Dell.  He was formerly Vice President of Products at Hart InterCivic whose software and machines serve 25 million voters nationally.

    Marcus has held senior product management and marketing positions at Surgient, Troux Technologies, Vignette, Vantive and Oracle.  He began his career as a software engineer and development manager at IBM and Platinum Technology.  Marcus holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University with a concentration in Computer Science.

    After searching long and far, it was clear there are no great comprehensive solutions to help bring manufacturers into the online world. As Noribachi's CIO, Mark was tasked to create online opportunities for the commercial LED lighting product line. This lead to a series of experiments and eventually engineering and developing the platform which has become Inxeption's platform. As a software engineer with over 30 years of industry and senior executive management experience, he continues to strive today to build cutting edge solutions and disrupt the software world. While at Noribachi, Mark was also responsible for their IOT device product line as well as all online corporate infrastructure.

    Prior to Noribachi, Mark served as Senior Vice Products of Recommind and was responsible for Engineering, Product, Support and Cloud Services Delivery team for Recommind's eDiscovery products. While at Recommind, Mark oversaw and consistently grew Recommind's largest revenue division – OnDemand Services. Mark also led the worldwide Engineering and Product teams to advance from waterfall product development to sprint-based processes and eventually becoming a nimble DevOps organization.

    Mark also served as Executive VP - Products and Services for Niku Corporation (product Clarity acquired by Computer Associates), a designer of enterprise IT project/portfolio management systems, where he led all product operations including early design, delivery, marketing, professional services and support. He continues to be excited by the large Clarity user community and enthusiastic customer base which has progressed over the years.

    Mark was also a founding member of several high growth consumer startups specializing in cloud based video and music devices and services – Diba (information appliances), Listen.com/Rhapsody as well as CEO and the Founder of OneTrueMedia/Spotmixer.

    Mark began his career working for a nearly a decade in the Oracle Database Kernel Development team specializing in high scalable and performant data systems, holds patents in Media Servers, Online Video serving and Information Appliance Architectures. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.

Ms. Nustad’s 18 years of information technology management experience spans technical start-ups to complex Fortune 100 companies and includes executive experience in enterprise technology and business transformation. She has held a variety of technology executive leadership positions at several companies including Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield now Cambia, OAO Healthcare Solutions, and Anthem.     Kim Owens is the founding executive director of Year Up Arizona. Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. 

    Kim brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, technology recruiting, healthcare and hospitality. Prior to joining Year UP, Kim served as Vice President of Workforce Solutions at the Apollo Education Group. There, she formed strategic partnerships with more than 500 community colleges across the country to help fulfill their shared mission of building a globally competitive workforce. Kim also led a Global Solutions team, with the purpose of building-demand driven, scalable, academic solutions for Fortune 500 companies. 

    Kim currently serves on the executive committee and local board for Opportunities for Youth. She has also served on the board for Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (JAG) and UMOM New Day Centers; and was an active member of key industry organizations such as American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). Kim received a BS in Journalism/Public Relations from San Diego State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Kim and her husband Dan live in Phoenix and are active advocates in the community for youth, homelessness, education and workforce development

    Steve Phillips was formerly senior vice president and chief information officer for Avnet, Inc., reporting to Avnet CEO Rick Hamada. He was a member of the Avnet Executive Board and a corporate officer.

    Mr. Phillips came to Avnet with the 2005 acquisition of Memec, where he served as senior vice president and chief information officer since 2004. Prior to joining Memec, Mr. Phillips was senior vice president and chief information officer for Gateway Inc. He was previously the IT leader for Diageo’s European foods business. Early in his career, he served in a number of engineering and operations leadership roles at Thorn EMI.

    Under Mr. Phillips' leadership, Avnet has been recognized with multiple IT awards, including CIO 100, InfoWorld Green 15 and InformationWeek Elite 100. In 2015, Mr. Phillips was inducted into CIO magazine’s CIO Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement that honors IT executives and visionaries whose leadership has significantly impacted the field of IT. Additionally, he received an HMG Strategy Transformational CIO Leadership Award in 2012 and was named a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader in 2011.

    Mr. Phillips is chairman of the board at Wick Communications, a news and specialty publications company. From 2008 through 2011, he served as chairman of the board of the Arizona Technology Council, a trade association that represents Arizona's technology industry.

    Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Essex University and a post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of West London.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

    Chris Richardson is the Assistant Vice President of IT Development at Arizona State University (www.asu.edu), recently recognized as #1 in the US for Innovation for the second year ahead of MIT and Stanford by US News & World Report. Mr. Richardson and his team are responsible for aligning with key stakeholders to lead the strategy, upgrade cycle, new functionality enhancements, and maintenance of a number of Enterprise applications across the diverse landscape of ASU. Much of this portfolio’s evolution through digital transformation and Internet of Things initiatives are radically changing the relationship and experience with our various end users in the University ecosystem: prospective learners, parents, students, alumni, staff, faculty, commercial business partners, fans of athletics, and the community as a whole which is rapidly becoming a global definition due to our unique vision as the New American University (newamericanuniversity.asu.edu/).

    Chris Richardson joined ASU from Honeywell where he held a number of positions over an 11- year career, most recently as Senior Director of IT Service Delivery for the Performance Materials and Technologies business group, global accountability of all application and infrastructure operations for a $12B organization. He has also held responsibility as Director for Desktop Services, Senior Program Manager (global telecom referesh and data center rationalization), IT Audit Manager (data privacy), European Manager Co-Sourcing, and Senior Business Analyst (supply chain and finance support) in the Transportation Systems business group. Previously Mr. Richardson has also been responsible for business strategy, product and web development at his own companies, Tru Realty and ASPACT Schools (no longer in existence), as well as at Talisma Corporation and License Online.

    Chris holds a double B.S. in Zoology and Fisheries from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound, and a Master of Business Administration (MIS, Finance, and Entrepreneurship emphases) from the University of Arizona.
