    Wes currently serves private clients through Wes Arens and Advisors, LLC on digital strategy and transformation.  As a former Managing Director at managing consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, Wes led numerous digital strategy engagements at Fortune 250 companies across multiple industries (high technology, consumer package goods, retail, education, healthcare, utilities, and advanced manufacturing).

    Previously, Wes was Vice President of Merchant Services and Sales with Amazon.com, where he oversaw the commercialization of Amazon's outsourcing platform for enterprise customers.  He was responsible for driving enterprise direct sales, channels, alliances, and partnerships.  His team worked closely with leading enterprises to provide e-commerce digital capabilities that leveraged Amazon's world-class digital technologies for customer service, payments, order fulfillment and online merchandising.

    Prior to Amazon, Wes was a senior executive at Syncra Systems, a leading SaaS supply chain management company providing internet-based collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment solutions to the largest retailers and their suppliers. Wes started his career at IBM and served in various sales management roles during IBM's historic transformation from a hardware company to a services company.   When he left he was responsible for IBM’s overall global B2B market place initiatives.

    Wes grew up in Boston and graduated from Boston College and currently lives in the Seattle area.

  • Renee Arrington

    Renee Arrington offers clients over 20 years’ experience in retained executive search. She excels in recruiting senior executive talent for Fortune 500 companies, private-equity-backed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She is a member the Pearson Partners board of directors and leads the firm’s Fort Worth office and CIO and IT leadership practice with clients in technology, retail, financial services, business services, distribution and R&D. Renee conducts searches for board members, presidents and executive directors among other senior leadership positions.

    In addition to serving on Pearson Partners’ board of directors, Renee serves on the boards of directors of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) North Texas Chapter and the Foundation for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth. She is an executive committee member of Dallas Executive Women’s Roundtable (EWR) and a member of Fort Worth’s Women Steering Business (WSB). Renee has previously served on the board of North Texas Public Broadcasting (NPR Affiliate) and was board chairman of both the YWCA of Fort Worth and Tarrant County and the Fort Worth Westside YMCA.

    Renee is a frequent speaker at the HMG Strategy CIO Summits around the country. She has written a monthly column for CIO Decisions magazine and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, CareerJournal.com, IT World, Network World and Business Process Outsourcing: The Competitive Advantage (Wiley 2005). She was honored among the finalists in D CEO’s 2016 CIO/CTO Awards in the Technology Advocate category

    Renee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Trinity University and studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris. She and her husband, Michael, live in Fort Worth.

  • David Bessen

    David Bessen joined Arapahoe County Government in December 2011 as the Director of Information Technology. In the past two years, he has established IT governance, moved the IT Department along ITSM path and established liaisons between IT and its colleagues in the County Departments and Offices. Prior to joining the County, he was in the media (newspaper and website) industry where he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at MediaNews Group, the second largest newspaper chain in the U.S. (headquartered in Denver) and IT Director at Copley Newspapers in San Diego. His responsibilities ranged from managing transactional systems for advertising and subscriptions, to ERP implementations, web content management systems, business intelligence, networking and DR/BCP.  David has also consulted in the publishing industry, as well as designed and managed projects for Fortune 350 firms.

    David began his career in publishing technology as the founder of a small typesetting company specializing in academic journal publishing. Later, he worked as a support analyst and software trainer with Bestinfo, the software company that developed one of the first commercial-grade publishing systems that operated on a personal computer. He then worked for Management Processor Integrators as Vice President of Operations, consulting on electronic page-building projects at TV Guide and Copley Newspaper’s Fox Valley Press near Chicago.

    In his former career, Dr. Bessen taught ancient, medieval and Renaissance history at several Midwestern colleges. His other interests include cooking, photography and hiking in the Rockies.

    Mark has 20 years of combined technology, security, risk and leadership experience.  As a visionary thinker and one who studies the evolving behaviors of bad actors and threat vectors, Mark continues to evolve what he refers to as the evolution of “Best Practices”.  Mark will tell you that best practices is a moving target on a yearly basis.  For example, what may have applied a year ago evolves as a combination of compliance and regulatory bodies enhance their requirements.  Today we are seeing an increase in the pace of strengthening the compliance programs at a faster pace than ever before.  Keeping up with these changes has become a challenge for many organizations today.

    Mark started his career being hands on with the largest B2B office supply company as their senior system engineer, from there he moved into the global area of e-commerce and faced the challenges of the building and securing a platform that did business in every country across the globe.  As Mark would say, everyone had us in their cross hairs but we won every time.  Mark continued his career as CIO of AAA Colorado but decided that protecting one organization at a time wasn’t enough for him.

    Mark found his true professional calling in helping as many organizations as he could become better in protecting their brand, employees, customers and data.  Mark’s experience has crossed industries from technology, insurance, retail, gaming, telecommunications, government, and healthcare, just to name a few.  Mark also is well versed in such compliance, regulatory and data privacy laws such as PCI, HIPAA, SOX, FISMA, SOC 1, ISO 27001 and EU GDPR. 

    Mark earned his MBA and went on to obtain his CISSP certification.

  • Anthony Hill

    Anthony Hill is an Executive Director, Business and Enterprise Architecture for Kaiser Permanente, the nation's largest integrated health system. Focused on the intersection of strategy, business and technology, he is leading the implementation of an enterprise-wide Business Architecture practice for KP.

    Prior to joining KP, Anthony has been a 4 time CIO and CTO in higher education, software-as-a-service companies and dot-coms. He was named as one of Infoworld's Top 25 Most Influential CTO's as well as to the CIO 100 and Computerworld's Top 100 IT Leaders. He is an author of CIO Best Practices, Wiley & Sons, writing about the role of enterprise architecture in the realization of business strategy.

    Anthony holds a BA in Political Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a MS in IT Management and Finance from Golden Gate University, where he was also the CIO for eight years.

    He is married with a 13 year old son and lives in Colorado.

    Stephen Katsirubas is a well-known driver of global digital transformation and innovation with a proven track record of achieving results.    

    An industry respected leader, Mr. Katsirubas is currently the Chief Information Officer for Hunter Douglas, the world leader in the windows covering and architectural industry.   In this role, Mr. Katsirubas is responsible for the overall IT strategy and technology empowerment of the Hunter Douglas North American organization.   

    Over a 25+ successful year career in IT, he has championed numerous successful technology initiatives ranging from $100M+ large scale ERP implementations to leading manufacturing technology solutions as well as digital and mobile innovation, global supply chain transformations, leading edge ecommerce solutions as well as building world class agile global IT organizations.  

    Prior to joining Hunter Douglas, Mr. Katsirubas has had a long career in IT as the Global CIO for Crocs, CIO for Clarks, and has held several other positions as a program director, software engineer and a management consultant in the international trade arena.  Other accomplishments include being recognized as a top Colorado CIO in 2015 as well as a being previously nominated as the top Retail CIO of the Year in 2012.  Preceding the IT portion of his career, he distinctly served with the United States Marine Corps as a non-commission officer and is a combat veteran of the first Gulf War.  Mr. Katsirubas holds an MBA from Clarkson University and a Bachelor of Science from Norwich University.  Mr. Katsirubas likes to spend his time with his wife and three children as well as assisting charities that support children.  He currently sits on the board of A Precious Child that is based in Denver, CO.

    Prior to KER Partners, Steve was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and a key member of the firm’s global Information Technology Officers Practice.  He was also a Principal at Spencer Stuart and an Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates previously. He also served as president of a Dallas-based retained executive search boutique specializing in recruiting IT executive leaders and CIOs.

    Prior to entering executive search, Steve spent six years with EDS Corporation, performing both technical and professional recruiting, as well as providing recruitment training and counsel on employment-related issues.  He began his career as a district manager with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, where he was responsible for sales management and operations.

    Steve is an active speaker and panelist at key industry forums on topics including executive IT leadership development, career management and succession planning.  He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and the Society for Information Management (SIM).

Before that, Tony ran a $1 billion division of a telephone company focused on corporate users and had responsibility for all data services and networking products. While at the telephone company, he was founder and Chairman of its ISP and a board member of its 2 million-subscriber cell phone subsidiary. 

    Tony uses his operating experience from being a CEO, financial background as a CPA and CA, and technical knowledge from the work that he has done for Tech companies to drill down and understand at a nuanced level what his clients are seeking to achieve as they build their teams. Chris integrated a $800 Million acquisition, implemented a CRM capability across the region, and created a single IT team for all lines of business. 2012 - Chris is asked to create a product strategy for an IT platform that allowed Monsanto to help farmers manage their farm operations more efficiently. This lead to a $1 Billion dollar acquisition of The Climate Company by Monsanto 2013 - As Commercial Operations Lead and CIO of $1 Billion dollar business. Chris created the global Portfolio Management strategy to manage existing and launch new products in the marketplace. 2014 - Chris Implemented CRM platform with global sales processes across $1 Billion line of business. Resulting in 10% increase in Revenue. 2016 - Chris is asked to carry over his success to a $17 Billion organization to implement Marketing Automation, Sales Effectiveness processes, Revenue and Product Optimization processes, and Demand Generation / Trialing processes. 2018 – Chris joined Ardent Mills, the largest producer / miller of flour and specialty grains in North America, as the Chief Information Officer.

    Prior to her roles as a CIO at Riverbed and Informatica, Raahauge served as Vice President, IT at Cisco, where she was responsible for the entire technology platform that delivered Cisco's core revenue capturing revenue growth from $36B to $46B.   During her tenure, Raahauge authored and executed on several transformational strategies that enabled several business models to scale across the technology platforms with an eye on simplification and innovative solutions.  Raahauge is also experienced in other Operational functions related to M&A, Risk Management, Integrations, Divestitures, Global Corporate Real Estate. 

    Ms. Raahauge is internationally recognized leader and recipient of numerous awards focused on transformational technology initiatives, diversity, and women in technology.  She regularly contributes technology and leadership articles that have been published in Forbes, WSJ, Computerworld, WIRED, CIO.com, HBR Publications – Enterprisers Project, and other international publications.

    She and her husband, Jason, enjoy time on the lake wakeboarding, running, biking, attending their son’s swim competitions, and split their time between San Francisco and Denver.   

  • Sheri Rhodes

    With more than 25 years of technology industry experience, Sheri Rhodes is Chief Technology Officer of Western Union, one of the largest digital money transfer and payments companies in the world.

    As CTO, Rhodes defines and leads Western Union’s technology vision and digital transformation, directing strategy and technology investments in the company’s global money movement and payments platform. In this role, she oversees Western Union’s engineering resources, fintech agenda, technology infrastructure and operations across the firm’s major innovation centers in Denver, San Francisco, Montvale, New Jersey and Pune, India.                                                                  

    Prior to joining Western Union, Rhodes served as Chief Information Officer at EFI, a global provider of products, technology and services leading the transformation of analog-to-digital imaging and printing.

    Earlier in her career, she spent six years at Symantec, leading global applications, driving strategy and the execution of more than 200 software applications and platforms responsible for powering Symantec’s business, including Salesforce.com, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning and Workday. Rhodes also played a pivotal role in strategically dividing IT operations when Symantec divested Veritas. Under her leadership, Symantec IT was recognized by the International Data Group with the 2015 Digital Edge 25 award, which honors organizations that have leveraged digital technologies to transform their business.

    Prior to joining Symantec, Sheri held leadership positions at Visa, Washington Mutual, KPMG, and Wells Fargo, where she directed and structured operations and technical organizations including engineering, applications and infrastructure.

    Rhodes holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University.
