    Scott Alexander is Vice President of Innovation and Product Development for Mercy, a 44 hospital integrated delivery network based in St. Louis, Missouri. In this capacity, he oversees and supports innovative efforts in fields as wide-ranging as virtual medicine, healthcare analytics, healthcare supply chain, medical devices, and clinical operations. Prior to this role, he served as the Vice-President of Sourcing, Innovation & Marketing for ROi, Mercy’s for-profit supply chain division. Prior to joining Mercy, he held positions in innovation, product management, and commercial operations at Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device manufacturer. He completed an undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia and an MBA from Wake Forest University, where he co-founded a medical device company focused on preventing post-surgical staph infections. He has seven issued US patents and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

  • Christy Barker

    Olin Corporation

    Christy Barker is Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Olin Corporation, a global manufacturer of Chlor Alkali Products, Vinyls, Epoxy and Winchester.   Christy joined Olin in 2016, tasked to transform the IT operating model, business and manufacturing technology platform to integrate Olin’s global operations and deliver new capabilities that enable the company’s strategic digital roadmap.   She also serves a member of the American Chemistry Council’s Chemical Information Technology Center Executive Board.

    Christy’s previous experience includes senior leadership positions at Israel Chemicals Limited, where she worked in the USA, Israel, and Europe, and as CIO of Astaris.  Christy has extensive experience working within intense and demanding environments, leading global transformations and establishing business shared service centers around the world. She graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State and received her MBA from Webster University, while living in The Netherlands.

  • Stan Dotson
    VP Research & Development IT
    Monsanto Company

    Stan Dotson is the R&D IT Lead. He is responsible for leveraging information technologies that transform both Monsanto and Agriculture.  Prior to this role, Stan led our efforts to develop and apply Molecular Breeding technologies for both vegetables and row crops, including the development of current generation of genotyping platforms, the early implementation of efforts in high throughput sequencing and driving the expanded impact of seed chipping at Monsanto.  Stan was also a leader in Monsanto’s Genomics platform. Stan initiated a genomics approach to yield enhancement which led to the discovery of genes which confer drought stress tolerance to corn, soy, and cotton. In 1997, Stan was responsible for starting up Monsanto’s Pharmaceutical Genomics and Bioinformatics Group. Stan has 25 years experience at Monsanto.  Stan has a B.S. in BioAgricultural Sciences from Colorado State University, M.S. in Plant Breeding and Ph.D. in Plant Genetics from the University of Minnesota.

  • Sharon Gietl
    VP IT & CIO
    The Doe Run Company

    As The Doe Run Company’s Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Gietl oversees the planning, implementation and management of the company’s information technology systems and strategic planning/enterprise project management office. She also is a member of Doe Run’s executive team.

    Gietl spoke or was a panelist at recent mining technology and other IT related conferences and events.

    Two recent articles written by Gietl in 2016 were published by CIOReview – “The Human Side of the Internet of Things” and “4 ‘Must Have’ Technologies for Metals and Mining”.

    Gietl is one of the 2011 St. Louis Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Business Women, a Computerworld 2010 Premier 100 IT Leader and a 2009 Strathmore’s Who’s Who recipient.

    Her team’s been recognized as a 2010 PMO (Project Management Office) of the Year Award 1st Finalist and a member of the Information Week 500 List of Top Technology Innovators across America in 2011 and in 2012.

    Prior to joining Doe Run, Gietl was the Director of Information Services for Bryan Cave, LLP in St. Louis.  She worked for Petrolite Corporation for more than a decade, most recently as Director of Administration. Gietl has also held various positions with Caterpillar, Inc. and The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

    Gietl has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Biology from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa.

    As the Chief Information Security Officer for Monsanto, a leading global agriculture company, Gary Harbison leads the Information Security Office with global responsibility for Cyber Security, Privacy, and Business Continuity Management.  Gary is also a member of the IT Leadership Team helping define and drive Monsanto’s global IT strategy.  Gary has 19 years of overall IT experience, with 17 of those focused in the Information Security domain.  Gary received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis.  Gary is also an Adjunct Professor in the Cybersecurity Masters Program at Washington University in St. Louis.

  • Peter Hogan
    VP Enterprise Applications and the Chief Privacy Officer

    Pete Hogan is VP Enterprise Applications and the Chief Privacy Officer at Post Holdings, Inc. He has led the transformation of Post Application and Data models into the cloud for over 60 applications along with the program management for the acquisition integration efforts across the IT ecosystems where Operating Divisions combined for synergies. Pete has also established the Enterprise Decision Science team to support Holding’s analytic functions through consolidated information in the cloud along with the team evolving to serve a consulting analytics role to the dozen plus Operating Companies Post Holdings has acquired over the past six years. In addition, he has led Post Holdings and it’s Operating Divisions through both Privacy Shield and GDPR compliance where the business units were potentially impacted. Prior to this, Pete was a VP over eCommerce and Retail Systems at Caleres and Integrated Product Services at MasterCard International.

Worked as an individual contributor for 18 months in the Information Technology Division before promotion to Vice President of the Division. Ran division for 12 years before starting Preferred Resources. Recruited and placed professionals working under the Corporate CIO and managed a staff of up to 12.

    Prior to opening Honer and Associates, founded, grew, and managed Preferred Resources. Started Preferred Resources as employee #1. Built company’s two lines of business, direct hire placement and information technology staffing (contracting) rapidly. High water mark through the 90's was approximately 100 employees, 80 contractors/rest recruiters and admin staff.     David Karandish is the Co-founder and Chairman of EQUITY.com and Chief Executive Officer of Jane.ai. EQUITY.com is an incubator focused on investing in, building and growing high performing, technology enabled businesses. Jane.ai is an enterprise artificial intelligence company and the first for-profit business incubated out of EQUITY.com.

    Prior to starting Equity, David was the CEO of Answers Corporation. David and Chris Sims started the parent company of Answers in 2006 and sold the company to a private equity firm in 2014 for north of $900m.

    David holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and a second major in entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated cum laude. He is a member of the Gateway chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization. David lives in St. Louis with his wife, Erin and four kids. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing ukulele.

    Michelle joined Reinsurance Group of America, Inc., a leader in the global life reinsurance industry with $3.1 trillion of life reinsurance in force, in January 2014 as Executive Director, Talent Acquisition.  Michelle is responsible driving the strategy and execution of talent acquisition initiatives for RGA.   Michelle has 25 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition across technology, entertainment and financial sectors. Prior to joining RGA, Michelle spent seven years with Scripps Networks, a life-style media and content provider company. There she was responsible for leading talent acquisition, immigration and mobility. Prior to Scripps, Michelle led recruitment and human resources functions in technology consulting and dotcom firms in the St. Louis area.  Michelle received her B.S. in Human Resources from Kennedy Western.

    Tony Leng is a Managing Director of Diversified Search and leads the firm’s Digital Transformation and CIO practice from its San Francisco office.  Previously, Tony was Managing Partner of Hodge Partners. Before that, Tony ran a $1 billion division of a telephone company focused on corporate users and had responsibility for all data services and networking products. While at the telephone company, he was founder and Chairman of its ISP and a board member of its 2 million-subscriber cell phone subsidiary. 

    Tony uses his operating experience from being a CEO, financial background as a CPA and CA, and technical knowledge from the work that he has done for Tech companies to drill down and understand at a nuanced level what his clients are seeking to achieve as they build their teams. He has written numerous papers on technology leadership and the challenges facing technology leaders today and authors a blog, ‘Resources for the Modern CIO” (www.tonyleng.com).

    The core of Tony’s consulting has been with senior leaders who are seeking to transform their organizations as they face a future of rapid change, digitization, regulation, shifting markets, and increasingly connected and informed customers.

Before this, he spent four years with BearingPoint Inc. as a Manager, Management Consulting. John's work there included helping a major client develop a company-wide, cross-functional merger integration methodology that aimed to boost speed of target integration, increase cross-functional collaboration, and capture merger synergies. John began his career as a Senior Procurement Specialist at KBR, Inc. in the Middle East. John received his B.S. from Illinois State University.

    Maurice Mahone is the Assistant Vice President of Application Development at the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, Missouri.   He has technical knowledge and executive leadership experience in the Software Development, Process Improvement, Project Management, and IT Audit areas. He has worked with a range of technologies in the Financial Services, Agricultural, Chemical, Biotechnology, and Paper and Packaging industries.  He has also worked for several Federal Government agencies including the Departments of Agriculture, Energy, and Defense. Maurice graduated from Fontbonne University with an Undergraduate degree in Business and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.   He is on the Executive Advisory Council for the Black Data Processors Association and former Board Member of the Sheldon Art Galleries and the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition.  He served in the US Army as a Telecommunications Specialist.

  • Jedidiah Yueh
    Founder and Chairman

    Jedidiah Yueh has led two waves of disruption in data management, first as founding CEO of Avamar (sold to EMC in 2006 for $165M), which pioneered data de-duplication and shipped one of the leading products in data backup and recovery, with over 20,000 customers and $4B in cumulative sales. After Avamar, Jed founded Delphix, which pioneered data virtualization, with over $200M in its first 7 years of sales (10x Avamar over the same period) and over 30% of the Global 100 as customers.
