  • Susan Certoma

    Ms. Certoma is an industry leader in managing next-generation technology solutions for the financial services industry. As the former President of Brokerage Processing Services (BPS), she oversaw the technology strategy, product development and end-to-end service delivery for Broadridge’s suite of brokerage processing solutions. Her responsibilities included equity, option and mutual fund securities processing, the business process management suite, advisor and investor portals and distributed data products.

    Prior to Broadridge, Ms. Certoma worked as Chief Information Officer for the Corporate and the Investment Bank at Wachovia Corp. She also has held senior leadership positions in Technology & Operations with Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and First Boston.  At Goldman Sachs, she chaired committees on Women in Technology, Learning & Professional Development, Career Development and Project Management. She earned an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Management and Economics from St. John’s University.

    As of July 1, 2017, Mitch Davis started leading Information, Technology and Consulting, which has a staff of about 160. His responsibilities include providing vision, leadership, and long-range direction for development and implementation of information and technology initiatives that align with Dartmouth’s mission. He is working with campus leaders to enhance academic, research, and administrative operations.

    During his fourteen years at Bowdoin as a Senior Vice President and CIO, it was transformed into one of the most technically advanced liberal arts college in the nation. Additionally, he led the Marketing, Social Media and Web department that provided media services across the College. Before coming to Bowdoin, he was one of the Executive Directors of ITSS at Stanford University, an Associate Dean and CIO for Stanford Law School, and the Assistant Dean for Information Technology at University of Oregon School of Law. Prior to joining higher education, he was a consultant to law firms, hospitals, advertising, publishing and education. He specializes in strategic leadership, change management and quickly building highly effective, motivated and talented teams that work together to drive exceptional client services and create organizational value. 

    He started working in higher education with the goal of creating a generation of faculty and students who could effectively use the latest information technology in their research, teaching, learning and life. He has promoted organizational change and emerging technology in education for over 22 years, by acting as a consultant to universities, researchers, and faculty, speaking at seminars, sitting on education technology committees, business and government advisory boards, and by working with venture capitalist and businesses to create the software and hardware to deliver next generation solutions.

    Tom has been Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Perrigo Company plc, since October 2006. He has also overseen Perrigo’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, Global M&A Integration, and Perrigo’s E-Commerce business unit since 2010.

    During his tenure at Perrigo, Tom has led the company’s integration efforts over 27 acquisitions resulting in expansion into more than 35 countries, built out a global shared services platform, launched the company’s direct to consumer sales breaking into new markets and innovative retail opportunities, and has gained end consumer insights relative to over the counter healthcare purchases.

    Perrigo is a leading global healthcare supplier that develops, manufactures and distributes over-the-counter (OTC) and generic prescription pharmaceuticals, infant formulas, nutritional products, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and pharmaceutical and medical diagnostic products.  Perrigo is the world’s largest store brand manufacturer of OTC pharmaceutical products and infant formulas.

    Prior to Perrigo Tom served as Chief Information Officer for the F. Dohmen Co. and served as a division President for JASCORP LLC. Prior to that he held various senior positions in information technology and finance at Dell and BP Amoco.

    Ursuline is Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer of XL Catlin. She is responsible for all information systems strategy, support and operations for Reinsurance and Enterprise Corporate Applications. Since joining the Company in 1990, she has held a variety of positions related to technology management and during that time and was also based in Bermuda for almost 4 years. Ursuline reports to the CIO of XL and is a member of the Management Team in XL Reinsurance and XL which is responsible for aligning all XL I.T. strategy and budget against the XL business plans. In her role as XLRe CIO, Ursuline has traveled to various locations globally, managing and supporting diverse teams across Asia Pac, Latin America, U.S., Canada, Europe, Bermuda. For many years she has been responsible for implementing global business solutions, integrating both local and global business processes/governance, that need to meet local market and regulatory needs as well as meet the global needs of XL. She also serves, as well as attends, on a number of industry committees both at home and abroad. Ms. Foley has participated in various reinsurance industry technology and e-commerce initiatives for many years including co-chair of the reinsurance task group (TG 7) of Disa, ACORD Standards Committee and RAA I.T. Committee. She has served on the ACORD Advisory Board for a number of years. Ms. Foley has over 25 years of information technology experience, of which over 20 years were spent serving the reinsurance industry. Under her leadership, XLRe was recognized by Information Week in 2009 for being in the top 250 companies for technology innovation. During 2007 Ms Foley was recognized as one of the seven Technology Stars nationally by Tech Decisions and recognized as one of the Influential women in insurance by Insurance Networking News. Prior to joining XL, Ms. Foley was employed by Guy Carpenter New York as applications manager responsible for their domestic and international underwriting and accounting systems. Ursuline was raised in Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Education from University College Cork, Ireland and also a Masters of Science from Pace University, New York. She completed the CIO Leadership development program held jointly by the Concours Group and Babson University.

    Michael Frankel is a senior innovation, corporate development, strategy and operating executive who has spent his career driving growth and innovation through acquisitions, ecosystems, investments, new products/services and entering new markets.  He currently serves as Managing Director of the Deloitte New-venture Accelerator.  Prior to joining Deloitte Michael served as CFO for two early stage technology companies and before that was Senior Vice President, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions for LexisNexis Group.  In that role he had global responsibility for all corporate development activities (acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and alliances).

    Michael has experience in several sectors including business services, market research and data analytics, B2B content and data and enterprise software.  He has deep expertise in acquisitions, equity and venture investing, strategy, product development and international expansion.  He has led initiatives and transactions, deploying over $10B in capital, and driving strategic expansion at several Fortune 500 companies.

    Before joining LexisNexis, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Information Resources Inc. (IRI).  Reporting to the CEO and Chairman, Frankel was responsible for all strategic transactions including acquisitions, equity investments, divestitures, strategic partnerships and corporate strategy.

    Prior to IRI Michael was Vice President Business Development at GE Capital’s consumer finance group.  At VeriSign he served as Vice President Corporate Development—where he led one of the ten most acquisitive corporate development teams in the technology sector—and later served as Vice President and General Manager of their Directory Services group. Michael was also Vice President Investment Banking with Merrill Lynch and a Corporate Associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

    Michael is a frequent speaker on growth strategies and strategic transactions.  During his career Michael has led and closed more than 100 transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures and alliances.  Michael has also led operational initiatives to develop and launch new products and technologies, expand into new markets and segments and restructure businesses and operations.  In addition, he has authored three books and several articles on M&A.  Michael earned a BA in Political Science, an MA in International Relations, an MBA, and a Juris Doctorate—all from the University of Chicago.

    Former FBI Special Agent and Senior Executive Advisor

    John G. Iannarelli recently retired from the FBI after more than 20 years of service, during which he was a member of the SWAT Team and participated in the investigations of the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 9/11 attack, and the Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords shooting.  John previously served at FBI Headquarters as their national spokesperson and on the Cyber Division Executive staff.  In Phoenix, John was the Cyber squad supervisor before promotion to Assistant Special Agent in Charge, the number two position overseeing all Criminal, Cyber, and Counter Intelligence investigations throughout Arizona.  John has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Computer Science for his contributions to the field of cyber investigations.

    John is the author of several other books, to include Why Teens Fail and What to Fix, a parents’ guide to protecting their children from Internet predators and other dangers, and Information Governance Security, how businesses can protect their sensitive data from loss or compromise.  His recently released How to Stop A Terrorist, is a guide for the average person to recognize and help prevent terrorism. John is a highly sought after speaker and has presented to Fortune 500 companies, domestic and international audiences, the United Nations, and the Vatican where he met personally with Pope Francis to discuss the evolution of cyber crime.

    A former San Diego Police Officer and a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, to include studies of international criminal and civil law at Oxford, England, John is also an attorney admitted to the practice of law in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is currently a private consultant, whose clients have included the both the FBI and a national professional sports league.

    Stuart M.     Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Stuart was Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President for CVS Caremark, the largest pharmacy health care provider in the United States. In that role, Stuart was responsible for the company's Information Systems and Technology Operations, including information technology strategy, application development and technology infrastructure.

    Prior to that, Stuart was Senior Vice President and CIO for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, responsible for the company's Information Systems and Technology Operations, including application development, technology infrastructure and publishing services. Before joining Liberty Mutual, he was Senior Vice President for Information Services for Medco Health Solutions, where he was responsible for key business and IT operations.  Stuart also held key positions in a number of technology and business areas including marketing research, product management and e-Commerce.

    Stuart has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Fairfield University and earned Master of Science and Master of Philosophy degrees in the Cognitive Science program at Yale University.

    Lynn McMahon is the office managing director for Accenture in New York Metro. In this role, Lynn is responsible for driving the local business strategy and engaging a staff of more than 4,700 New York and New Jersey based resources. In addition to her New York Metro responsibilities, Lynn leads the Media and Entertainment industry group for Accenture in North America, a practice which serves clients in the broadcasting, entertainment, internet, social and publishing industries. And finally, Lynn serves as the executive sponsor of one of Accenture’s largest telecommunications industry accounts, which is based in New York City. Throughout her 30-year career with Accenture, Lynn has held a number of leadership positions within the Accenture Communications, Media and Technology operating group. Most recently, Lynn served as the chief operating officer for the group in North America, as well as the group’s sales director. She has also led a number of high profile technology and digital transformation engagements with large Accenture clients. In 2000, Lynn founded the Accenture Innovation Center in New York Metro, and subsequently served as the center’s director for six years.     As CIO, Mr. Venner is responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of SpaceX's state-of-the-art computing and information sharing infrastructure. Ken comes to SpaceX from Broadcom, where he began his career as the organization's Chief Information Officer in August 2000. Through the years, Ken received numerous promotions, ultimately being named Executive Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Information Officer in February 2010. Prior to Broadcom, Ken was Vice President of Product Management and Chief Information Officer of Rockwell Electronic Commerce from 1997 to 2000, and he held a number of information sciences/information technology management positions over an 11-year tenure at Lucent Technologies/AT&T Bell Laboratories.

    Ken received a Bachelor of Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, a Master of Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration from New Hampshire College.

    Among her many contributions, Michelle played a central role in leading WWE’s much publicized transformation to one of the most successful multiplatform media businesses in the world. She also co-led the development and launch of the award-winning WWE Network, which is now the #2 branded subscription service in the U.S.; redefined the company’s approach to annual tentpole events; ushered in a new strategy to partner with blue-chip brands; and expanded WWE’s community outreach initiatives.

    Prior to joining WWE in 2009, Michelle served as the Chief Marketing Officer of the United States Tennis Association, oversaw all marketing efforts for the launch of the XFL, a partnership between WWE and NBC, and held consumer products and brand management positions at the NBA and Nabisco, respectively.

    In 2018, Forbes named Michelle one of the 10 Most Powerful Women in Sports. She was also featured on the Adweek 50 list, which highlights the leading executives in Media, Marketing and Technology, and named one of Sports Illustrated’s 10 Most Influential Women in Sports.

    Michelle sits on the Board of Directors for Ad Council and Make-A-Wish Connecticut. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
