Ed Earl is Chief Information Officer at Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: LFUS). Littelfuse products are vital components in virtually every market that uses electrical energy, from consumer electronics to automobiles, commercial vehicles and industrial equipment. Our history of innovation, proven technical expertise and the industry’s broadest and deepest portfolio of circuit protection products enable us to provide objective, comprehensive solutions for each customer’s unique needs. We are also expanding into adjacent markets that complement our core business including power distribution centers for mining operations, generator controls and protection for marine applications, heavy-duty switches for commercial vehicles and electromechanical sensors used in the automotive industry.
A goal-oriented IT executive with over 20 years of management, team development and technology leadership experience, Ed has been at Littelfuse since 2000, where his responsibilities range from directing IT strategic development activities and managing the company’s global IT applications and infrastructure, to executing and aligning IT with overall corporate objectives. Experienced in driving and managing change, he has led a team charged with selecting and implementing new sites for both the Littelfuse world headquarters and technical center.
Ed received his MBA and Masters of Science degree in Management information Systems from Illinois Benedictine University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Elmhurst College. He was awarded CIO magazine’s the ‘Ones to Watch’ award in 2008 and his global team received AITP’s Most Effective Team award in 2009. The Littelfuse IT organization has made the InformationWeek 500 list of technology innovators since 2009. Ed also serves on a number of technology advisory boards.
