Scott Ball is the SVP of Corporate IT, Risk and Security for Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR). Sabre is a leading technology provider to the global travel industry, serving hundreds of airlines, thousands of hotel properties and processes more than US$ 120 billion of global travel spend annually. In this capacity, he leads a team of more than 450 software engineers, technology and security professionals that are responsible for the corporate applications and infrastructure which supports the 10,000-person global Sabre organization. In addition, the Risk and Security team is responsible for the security of both the corporate and commercial computing infrastructure.
Of his 18 years in the technology industry, Scott has spent the last 10 years leading globally dispersed teams responsible for mission critical enterprise software and infrastructure at companies that have experienced rapid organic and inorganic growth. Previously, Scott was the VP of IT at Asurion, a global provider of protection services to the Wireless and Retail Industries. Prior to Asurion, Scott served as a VP at i2, a Supply Chain software company. Scott began his career as an Armor Officer in the US Army. Scott holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, a M.B.A. from MIT, and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
