Tom Coleman has worked successfully at many organizational levels in manufacturing, information technology, and in process improvement disciplines. Tom worked in manufacturing positions at Motorola and Western Digital leading to the position of Director of Worldwide Planning and Materials. In the information technology area, Tom has held increasing levels of responsibility at Textron, Abex Aerospace, and ABC-NACO including positions such as Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Tom currently holds the position of Chief Information and Process Officer at the Sloan Global Holdings in Franklin Park, IL where he is responsible for the Information Technology Group, Sloan’s Business Process Transformation initiative, and he is Sloan’s process owner for the corporate strategic planning process.
Tom has presented at many events related to business process transformation and the role of the CIO. Some of these include those for Hammer and Company, Forrester Research, Gartner, the Center for Research in Information Management (CRIM), the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Technology Executive Network (TEN), and the Association of Business Process Professionals (ABPMP). Tom is a frequent speaker to companies embarking on a business transformation journey. Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and he is certified in Change Management (ProSci); he is a Certified Business Process Professional (ABPMP), and he is a Certified as a Process Master (Hammer).
