Tom is Chief Information & Business Services Officer at Colgate-Palmolive, responsible for all aspects of Information Technology and Global Business Services.
Tom joined Colgate in 2002 as Vice President, Americas Global Information Technology. He led the creation of a new Americas IT organization that consolidated several divisional IT organizations into one operation, serving 60% of the company’s business. This consolidation was a major step towards centralizing IT services.
In 2006, Tom became Vice President, Global Development, responsible for leveraging Colgate’s SAP investment through the development of new, state-of-the-art information systems. Through several co-developments with SAP, he spearheaded the adoption of new SAP technologies, including SAP HANA. These technologies significantly improved the speed and visibility of information for better decision making. In 2007, he was promoted to Chief Information Officer.
In 2012, Tom was charged with establishing Colgate’s first Global Business Services organization to standardize business processes and maximize resource synergies. Today, that group provides services in the areas of Finance, Customer Service & Logistics, Procurement, Human Resources and Analytics, generating significant efficiencies across these critical business functions.
Prior to joining Colgate, Tom held several division CIO positions at Honeywell and various Information Technology roles at Mars, Inc. and J.P. Morgan. He holds a BS degree in Finance from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Rutgers University.
Tom is a member of several external information technology boards including: The Research Board, SAP Executive Advisory Board, IBM Board of Advisors, and the CIO Strategy Exchange.
In 2011, he was elected as a Corporate Officer.
