Additional panelists coming soon!

The field of Public Safety and 9-1-1 is rapidly changing!  Citizens are rightfully demanding more, citizen experience is becoming a fundamental driver in defining next-generation solutions.

As government services continue to evolve and become digitized, technology teams serving the public sector play a critical role in designing experiences that provide the benefits citizens deserve.  There is an explosion of data from new and emerging technologies within the video, IoT & Telematics industries that can deliver critical information in the event of an emergency.  Enhanced government services could enable citizens with a catalog of services to determine which agency to reach for different types of support for a quicker and more targeted response. Such a transformation would require data sharing and tight collaboration between governmental agencies with the over-arching goal of delivering more effective services and a lower cost to taxpayers.

In this panel discussion, top-tier government tech executives from the public sector and their counterpart experts in the Private Sector will share their advice for designing citizen-focused digital experiences, including successful examples that are paying dividends both for citizens and government agencies.

  • Sonatype

The Sonatype journey started 10 years ago, just as the concept of “open source” software development was gaining steam. From our humble beginning as core contributors to Apache Maven, to supporting the world’s largest repository of open source components (Central), to distributing the world's most popular repository manager (Nexus), we’ve played a meaningful role in helping the world embrace the power of open innovation. Over time, we witnessed the staggering volume and variety of open source libraries that began flowing into every development environment in the world. We understood that when open source components are properly managed, they provide tremendous energy for accelerating innovation. Conversely, when unmanaged, open-source "gone wild" can lead directly to security vulnerabilities, licensing risks, enormous rework, and waste. Our vision today is simple. We are laser-focused on helping organizations continuously harness all of the good that open source has to offer, without any of the risks.
