  • Eric Anderson
    Partner - Global Head of FinTech Practice
    Egon Zehnder

    Eric is the Managing Partner for the Egon Zehnder Atlanta office and the Head of the “FinTech” practice group. He is a core member of the Financial Services and Technology Practices serving industry clients in executive search, board search and management appraisal capacities. He is also a member of the Financial Officers practice having accomplished numerous senior level assignments.

    Eric’s consulting work touches on a broad array of functional areas, including senior general management positions as well as senior level functional leadership roles in a variety of sectors including financial services, software, services and high technology in both public and private equity backed companies.

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder International, Eric was the President of BISYS Compliance and Licensing Services where his responsibilities included growing the Education, Licensing and Advanced Designations’ business for BISYS. BISYS was sold to Citibank in 2005.

    Prior to joining BISYS, Eric gained significant experience in the technology field as a Vice President for S1 Corporation, a financial services software company, covering sales, marketing and general management in the U.S. and internationally. He served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of Knowledge Alliance, an information technology consulting organization, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ExecuTrain Corporation. Additionally, Eric worked for Baxter Healthcare in various international sales, marketing and operations roles.

    Eric has a BS in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami. After university, he served in the Armed Forces as a helicopter pilot in the Army. Eric, his wife Pam and their three children reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.

  • Shoukat Ali Bhamani

    Shoukat Ali Bhamani is the Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIO & CDO) for the Schaeffler Group Americas, a global automotive, industrial & aerospace manufacturer with $3.2B revenue and 13,000 employees in Americas.  Over the past 20 years, Shoukat has led several operational and strategic business functions to support a double digit growth in the manufacturing environment. This includes Strategic Planning, General Management, R&D, Program Management, Quality Systems, Continuous Improvement, Process Management and IT. His effective transformation leadership has successfully integrated the IT and business priorities via program management, roadmaps, goals, KPIs and strategic initiatives, across multiple platforms & business units, nationally & internationally.  Resulting in a uniform SAP landscape region wide, measurable business improvements, increased sales opportunities, optimized business processes & supply chain, efficient technology & infrastructure, IT cost transparency, and a high performance IT team to support business growth & strategy. He has now taken over the responsibility of digital transformation and is in the process of prioritizing business needs, establishing talents and executing digital solutions. 

    His business experience includes 10+ years of successful customer relationships to manage key programs & business development to support a significant increase in market share and bottom line.  His R&D contribution includes several new product development initiatives to meet the market challenges of new innovation and technology.  His international experience includes major programs across multiple platforms & business units, including product development, manufacturing, investment, cost reduction & IT projects in US, Canada, Mexico, Japan & Germany. Shoukat received his Bachelor's (NED) and Master's (McGill) degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.  He lives in Fort Mill, SC with his wife and two children.

  • Bobby Caudill
    Director, Solutions

    With over 30 years of technology and business experience working in high tech software companies, Bobby is an expert at applying technology to solve a diverse range of business challenges.

    In the 90’s, as CTO for various organizations, Bobby worked to pioneer techniques for delivering education and training content via the Internet. Following up, he led the design and development of a set of SaaS-based collaboration and real-time communications tools. In the early 2000’s, Bobby worked for Adobe and Teradata, identifying and bringing to market document and data-centric solutions for organizations worldwide.

    Bobby joined Informatica where his experience gives him a unique perspective on the application of Informatica technologies to the ever growing data challenges of Informatica’s customers.

  • Anil Cheriyan
    EVP CTO Strategy & Technology
    Cognizant Technology Solutions

    Anil Cheriyan started Phase IV Ventures in April 2018 as a consulting & advisory firm leveraging his experience as a Board member, CIO and several years in consulting.  

    Prior to this, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at SunTrust Banks, where he led the digital and data platform transformation of the bank, driving architectural decisions such as APIs, robotics, data lake, Zelle, core banking, and cloud, that improved client experience and drove the bank’s efficiency in todays evolving digital, financial ecosystem.  

    As CIO, Mr. Cheriyan was responsible for SunTrust’s overall information technology, cyber security and business enterprise operations – i.e., contact centers, deposit and payments operations, and supply chain. He reported directly to the Chairman and CEO and was instrumental in providing technology direction to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.  He chaired the firm’s strategic investment committee that oversaw investment decisions and benefits realization of those investments. 

    Prior to joining SunTrust, Mr. Cheriyan was a Vice President / senior partner at IBM Global Business Services, where he served financial services clients and most recently led the Insurance Industry Practice.  Before joining IBM, he was a partner with PwC Management Consulting and served in leadership roles including leading global, industry and technology practices. In his consulting career, Cheriyan worked closely with several Fortune 500 companies in their business and technology transformations from strategy through execution – always delivering on measurable results.  In addition, he has led the growth of several successful consulting practices with revenue generating, management and delivery roles.

    Mr. Cheriyan plays an active role in business and technology communities.  He serves on the Advisory Boards for growth stage start-ups - Tricentis, Fenergo, Mirantis and SkyTap - working on their growth / revenue generation committees.  He is an advisory partner to Insight Venture Partners Ignite Roundtables and chairs the InspireCIO innovation committee.  In addition, as SunTrust CIO he chaired the Financial Services Roundtable BITS Executive Advisory committee, and was member of the AT&T Client Advisory Committee and Presidents Advisory Committee for Oracle.

    Mr. Cheriyan is the recipient of several industry awards – e.g., IDC CIO 100, Computerworld Premier 100 Leader, Enterprise CIO of the year.  He is Chairman, Technology Business Management (TBM) Council, on the Boards of Oglethorpe University, St Josephs Health System, Georgia CIO, Research Board and the Wall St. Journal CIO Network.

    Mr. Cheriyan earned his Master of Science and Master of Philosophy Degrees in Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Imperial College in London, UK.  He and his wife, Susan, have three children and live in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Nelson joined Kinetic Ventures in 1998. His investment activities focus on information and infrastructure technologies, enterprise and Internet software, and other emerging software and hardware technologies. He has led a broad range of Kinetic investments including LogicBlox-Predictix (acquired by Infor), Tower Cloud (acquired by Communications Sales & Leasing; NASDAQ: CSAL), BroadWare (acquired by Cisco; NASDAQ: CSCO), VerticalOne (acquired by SONE; NASDAQ: SONE), FoodBuy (acquired by Compass Group; LSE: CPG.L), Cardlytics, and Instant Financial. Prior to joining Kinetic Ventures, Nelson was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and a Development Manager with Oracle. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) from Virginia Tech, his MS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

  • Lee W. Crump
    Managing Partner
    The Crump Group

    Lee W. Crump was the CIO and Group Vice President of Business Support for Rollins, Inc. Rollins, based in Atlanta, has annual revenues of over $1.6 billion and is the parent company of Orkin Pest Control, and other well-known pest control companies. Prior to joining Rollins in 2009 Crump spent ten years as the CIO of the largest and most profitable ServiceMaster subsidiary based in Memphis, TN.  In 2012 Crump was named Georgia CIO of the Year (Global Division) by the GeorgiaCIO Association. 

    In his current capacity, he manages a team of 150 professionals and is responsible for all Information Technology (IT) and Program Management (PMO).

    Mr. Crump holds the PMP credential from the Project Management Institute and has a long track record of successfully delivering major systems implementations. He served as the Six Sigma Executive Deployment Champion in his previous role with ServiceMaster. He has spent over 40 years in IT, equally divided between IT Executive Management and Business Consulting.

    Mr. Crump serves as the Board Chair for Year-Up, Atlanta and is a member of the Board of Directors for PowerMyLearning , Atlanta where he is Resource Development Committee Chair. He serves on the Advisory Boards of the GeorgiaCIO Association where he is Board Chair, and the Association of Telecommunications Professionals (ATP). He is a past Board Member of Georgia Junior Achievement and CHRIS Kids. He is a volunteer and mentor for Pathbuilders Achieva, as well as Year-Up Atlanta, where in 2013 he received the Year-Up Urban Empowerment Award.

    He is a member of American Mensa, the GeorgiaCIO Association, the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Technology Association of Georgia, (TAG), the Association of Telecommunications Professionals (ATP), and the Society of Information Managers (SIM).

  • John Damalas
    Pacific Life Insurance

     John Damalas currently serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Pacific Life. In this capacity, he is responsible for implementing an integrated enterprise architecture, establishment of robust data management practices, and work across the divisions to ensure their digital transformation creates leading capabilities.

    He has a proven track record of cross-industry technology leadership in several areas such as applied AI, data & analytics, enterprise architecture and user experience. Prior to joining Pacific Life, he served as Vice President for Associate Digital Experience at Walmart, where he was responsible for UX, engineering, architecture, and operations for the technology enablement of Walmart's 2+ million associates across the globe. Before this role, he led Walmart's Global People Analytics organization, which included data engineering and data science for associate-related use cases across the enterprise.

    Before his experience at Walmart, John worked for General Electric (GE) where he held numerous roles of progressive technical leadership ranging from business intelligence, data science & analytics to software engineering leadership across various GE business units as well as several years in GE's corporate audit staff.

    Passionate about technology, particularly regarding the role a data-driven culture can play in today’s enterprise, he also partners with academic institutions and organizations to develop the next generation of tech talent.

    John holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He currently resides in Southern California with his wife, daughter and very energetic Belgian Shepherd.

  • Lookman Fazal
    Chief Information & Digital Officer

    Lookman Fazal is an Executive IT Leader and the Global head of Technology and Security for Argo Turboserve Corporation. In his current role, Lookman manages multimillion dollar budget, a global staff across 3 continents and 28 locations around the world. 

    His primary objective is to set the technology & security blueprint and roadmap to position ATC for future growth across the 5 distinct business divisions.  Mr Fazal has reestablished business and IT partnership by strategically aligning IT organization to business objectives.  This was done by building transparency, trust, selling IT services and by showing the technology benefits to the business. 

    Mr Fazal is a dynamic leader recognized by peers as an excellent coach, team player and mentor with over 20 years of experience in Information Technology. He has managed many large-scale projects and planned strategic IT direction from a business perspective as well as technical perspective.  He possesses a proving ability to gain cooperation, build consensus and improve performance among diverse groups and has directed reengineering processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. He has consistently been recognized and promoted to positions of increased responsibility

    Prior to joining ATC, Lookman Fazal has worked with several fortune 500 companies in various leadership roles at EmblemHealth, Avaya, Lucent and Novartis.  His last role was leading an IT Technology group reporting to the CIO where he managed a team of 70 people and a budget of $20 million.  He has a Masters in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and has 10 certifications and 5 patents.

  • Jay Ferro
    EVP, Chief Information & Technology Officer

    Jay Ferro is the former Chief Information Officer for Quikrete, the largest manufacturer of packaged concrete in the United States. Previously, he served as CIO for a number of other companies including Earthlink, the American Cancer Society and AIG.

    Known as a thought-leader in the information technology arena, Ferro is a frequent guest speaker and panelist, both in Atlanta and nationwide. In recognition of his accomplishments, Ferro was selected as as one of ComputerWorld’s 2015 100 IT Leaders, as well as Georgia CIO of the Year in 2011, and is currently serving as chair for the Georgia CIO Leadership Association. Ferro was also selected to join Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2015 and participate in a rigorous year-long leadership development program alongside other prominent Atlanta leaders. His commitment and dedication to community involvement is evidenced by the time and energy he contributes. In addition to his work with Priscilla’s Promise, in 2011, he was elected to the board of directors for TechBridge, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that helps other nonprofits use technology to improve their capability to serve the community.

    Ferro earned both his BA in political science and his MBA from the University of Georgia. He continues to be involved with his alma mater, both as a mentor for young alumni and as a member of the alumni board of directors for the Terry College of Business. Ferro lives in the metro Atlanta area with his three sons.

  • Stanton S. Gatewood
    State of Georgia

    Mr. Gatewood is Chief Information Security Officer for the state of Georgia. He leads GTA’s Office of Information Security, which unifies information security responsibilities for the state’s IT enterprise, the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services program, and GTA.

    He has more than 33 years of experience in cyber security programs for the U.S. military, state and federal governments, higher education, and global corporations. Prior to joining GTA, Mr. Gatewood served as Director of Cyber Workforce Development for Dell Secureworks. He was also Chief Information Security Officer for the University of Georgia, Interim Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for Albany State University, and Chief Information Security Officer for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.

    Mr. Gatewood is a distinguished fellow at the Ponemon Institute, the widely known research center dedicated to privacy, data protection, and information security policy. He has also received numerous honors for his work in the field of information security, served as an active member of several professional associations, and published articles on information security.

  • Dale Gawley
    Corporate CIO

    Dale Gawley is a dedicated, focused, results-driven senior executive with over twenty years’ experience in diverse areas of finance, operations and information technology and 15 years in the insurance industry.  He has lead large scale global transformation initiatives that deliver quality results and efficient and sustainable operations.  

    Currently Dale is the Corporate CIO for AXIS Capital a Bermuda based Global Provider of Specialty (Re) Insurance, with $5bn in revenue and 1,100 employees he is responsible for delivery of all IT services to the corporate functional areas at AXIS including Risk, Actuarial, Finance, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Communications, Operations and Vendor Management.  Dale defined the Corporate IT strategy and multi-year road map including off shore delivery capability. He has specialized experience in leading large transformation projects that impact people, process and technology, most recently leading the Finance Transformation at AXIS, which included building the business case, funding approval and successful implementation of corporate wide financial systems.  Prior to his current role Dale had responsibility for AXIS’s Global Operations which included creating a managing general agent support unit, building a scalable offshore BPO capability including vendor selection, contract negotiation and organization structure realignment.

    Prior to AXIS Capital, Dale served as the Controller and Assistant Plant Manager of Sennheiser Ireland a manufacturing of state of the art headphones. 

    Dale serves on the Insurance Strategic Advisory Council for Oracle and has performed speaking engagements for Oracle on their Financial Systems products.  Dale is a member of the Advisor Board Council for HMG Strategy.  Dale is an avid golfer and dive master.

    Dale is a qualified chartered accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.



  • Craig Hyde

    As an entrepreneur with a decade of experience in Application Performance Management, Craig is responsible for product management, marketing, sales, and operations. Craig was previously a Solutions Consultant for Compuware/Gomez where he designed and implemented application performance solutions for the Fortune 100. Before that, he provided the Fortune 1000 and government agencies with systems to test and manage their networks while at Network Orange. Craig is active in the ATDC at Georgia Tech and can be found on the pitch with Atlanta Old White Rugby Football Club.

    Craig earned a BS in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

  • Steve Kendrick

    Steve Kendrick is President of KER Partners, LLC.  His background includes over 25 years of successful retained executive search industry and corporate recruitment professional experience. This experience includes leading successful search engagements and client relationships across commercial industry segments including financial services, payment systems, consumer retail, online-eCommerce, logistics-transportation, industrial, pharmaceutical and healthcare.  He has served industry leading clients including global Fortune 500 multinationals, mid-cap-mid-market public/private firms, as well as private equity backed portfolio companies.

    Prior to KER Partners, Steve was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and a key member of the firm’s global Information Technology Officers Practice.  He was also a Principal at Spencer Stuart and an Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates previously. He also served as president of a Dallas-based retained executive search boutique specializing in recruiting IT executive leaders and CIOs.

    Prior to entering executive search, Steve spent six years with EDS Corporation, performing both technical and professional recruiting, as well as providing recruitment training and counsel on employment-related issues.  He began his career as a district manager with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, where he was responsible for sales management and operations.

    Steve is an active speaker and panelist at key industry forums on topics including executive IT leadership development, career management and succession planning.  He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and the Society for Information Management (SIM).

    Steve earned his undergraduate degree in business from Jacksonville State University in Alabama, along with graduate studies at the University of Texas in Dallas.

  • Jimmy Lummis

    Jimmy Lummis is currently the Interim Director of Cyber Security and Chief Information Security Officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Jimmy’s major responsibilities include leadership of the CyberSecurity operations, engineering, security policy and regulatory compliance teams. 

    Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Jimmy has spent his entire career in the field of Information Security as a security consultant and advisor working for Ernest & Young LLP, Oracle, and the State of Georgia.

  • Ross Mason

    Ross is the former Chairman of the Department of Community Health Board - the 3rd largest health plan in the United States with a $11.2 billion annual budget and 660,000 covered lives. He is the former Chairman of the Metro Atlanta United Way’s Health Access Board and former Chairman of the Board of Visitors of Georgia Regents University. He is the current Chairman of the Commercialization Advisory Board for the Rick Hansen Institute and serves on the Board of Trustees for Georgia Tech. He has also served on Emory University’s Healthcare Advisory Board and as a Senior Fellow at the Georgia Public Policy Foundation - a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of Georgians through public policies that enhance economic opportunity and freedom. Ross holds a bachelors degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and a masters of business administration in finance from The Wharton School. Prior to his accident in 2007, Ross was actively involved in triathlons, wreck, cave, and ice diving, surfing, rock and ice climbing, and was a NASCAR certified driver. He lived and worked in San Francisco from 1999 to 2004 where he started and sold a healthcare software company. He also worked for Volkswagen’s Healthcare Venture Accelerator Fund in Germany, was an Associate in Private Banking at Morgan Stanley, and created a real estate investment and development company in Moscow, Russia that he owned and operated for 12 years. Today, Ross runs a venture philanthropy called HINRI ('henry') that focuses on solving today's most difficult healthcare challenges.     Graeme Payne is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Office of Global Corporate Platforms for Equifax.  In this role, he leads a technology organization of more than 400 associates and contractors, with significant offshore development activities in India and Latin America. His team is responsible for the implementation and support of on-premise and cloud-based technology solutions for Global Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations organizations.  

    Graeme is also responsible for various aspects of IT Planning and Support, including IT Strategy, IT GRC, Access Management, IT PMO, IT Vendor Management, Workforce Planning, and IT Communications, Collaboration and Training.

    Graeme is also leading technology support for Project ATLAS – a major business initiative to transform existing lead and opportunity management, quoting and pricing, contracting, billing, financial reporting and customer service processes into a new global lead to cash process and technology architecture.

    Graeme joined Equifax in 2011 as Vice President – IT Risk & Compliance. He led implementation of an access governance and provisioning solution that provided significant improvements in access controls. He also led an improvement plan for IT asset management and software management. Graeme led several M&A due diligence reviews and implemented improvements in the IT M&A due diligence and integration planning process.

    Mr. Rhodes came to state government in January 2011 from Paladin Investments, a private investment company. Prior he was with Fulton Paper Company for 27 years, serving most recently as executive vice president.  Previously, Mr. Rhodes held various positions within the company, including vice president of operations and chief information officer/vice president for information technology.  

    Governor Nathan Deal named Mr. Rhodes to lead the state’s public/private partnership IT transformation and consolidation effort.  The initiative has strengthened security, modernized infrastructure and networks, improved reliability and increased transparency in the state’s IT enterprise.  Building on its successes, the state is now evolving its service delivery model to enable state agencies to more easily benefit from changes in the IT marketplace.  Mr. Rhodes and his team promote an enterprise approach to technology by establishing statewide policies, standards and guidelines based on industry best practices and federal requirements. As State CIO, Mr. Rhodes chairs Georgia’s new Statewide Cybersecurity Board, created in 2015 by executive order, to assess and strengthen the state’s security posture.

    Mr. Rhodes is a Board member of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers and serves as its secretary-treasurer.
