    Lev Gonick is an educator, technologist, and smart city architect. He has been teaching, working, and living on the Net for more than 25 years.

    On November 1, Lev became the Chief Information Officer at Arizona State University. He will lead the ASU University Technology Office that provides technology services to all students, faculty, and staff.  He is also cofounder of DigitalC, previously OneCommunity, the award-winning non-profit organization enabling and celebrating innovation, collaboration, and productivity through next-generation broadband networks, big open data solutions, and IoT for public benefit.

    Lev was CIO at Case Western Reserve University from 2001-2013. He and his colleagues were internationally recognized for technology innovations in community engagement, learning spaces, next-generation network projects, and organizational development. Lev's innovations, including the Case Connection Zone, catalyzed national projects such as US Ignite and Gig.U.

    Inside Business Magazine named Lev one of their Power 100 in 2015. In 2011, Government Technology awarded Lev one of their "Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers in Public-Sector Innovation." In the same year, Crain's Business Cleveland named Gonick one its "10 Difference Makers" in Northeast Ohio, and Broadband Properties honored him with their Cornerstone Award for "using fiber to build an inclusive society and empower individuals." In 2010, he received recognition as "Visionary of the Year" from NATOA. Lev has been recognized by ComputerWorld as a Premier 100 IT leader and honored by CIO magazine with a CIO 100 Award.

    Mr. Frank J. Grimmelmann is President & CEO/Intelligence Liaison Officer for the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), a non-profit entity that is closely affiliated with the FBI’s AZ InfraGard Program. ACTRA’s focus is to enable its private and public sector member organizations to respond to the escalating national cyber threat, and to leverage InfraGard’s vast private sector volunteer membership as a force multiplier in protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure and national security. Mr. Grimmelmann serves as the Co-Chair (together with Arizona’s Chief Information Security Officer) for the Arizona Cybersecurity Team (‘ACT’), created through the Governor’s Executive Order signed 3/1/18. He also serves as a Member of the National Leadership Group for the Information Sharing & Analysis Organization Standards Organization (‘ISAO SO’) at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), created under the President’s Executive Order 13691. As the leader of ACTRA, Mr. Grimmelmann represents the private sector in the Arizona Counter terrorism Information Center (ACTIC) and serves as the first private sector representative on its Executive Board. He also acts as the private sector liaison to the FBI Cyber Squad and the FBI’s Arizona InfraGard Program. Mr. Grimmelmann served four terms as AZ InfraGard’s President, is presently on numerous
    s academic advisory boards, and chairs the Greater Phoenix Chamber's Cybersecurity Workforce Collaboration Effort. He is also a Phoenix Rotary 100 Member, and actively volunteers his time with several charitable organizations.

    Nilesh is the Vice President of IT at Southwest Kidney Institute and he provides the technology vision and drives innovation to deliver business solutions and improve operational efficiency. He leads the analytics team to provide population health strategies through enhanced data integration capabilities such as data mining and predictive modeling platform. Most recently, Nilesh was the Chief Information Officer of Newtek Business Services Corp. (NASDAQ: NEWT) a provider of business and financial solutions. Prior, Nilesh led the new product launches and strategic initiatives for Cigna Healthcare's Group and Voluntary benefits segment. Before Cigna Healthcare, he established the IT Program Management Office (IT PMO) at Republic Services.  He also spent several years at Wells Fargo and Target Corporation developing and implementing business solutions.

    Nilesh holds an MBA in International Business from W.P. Carey School of Business at the Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (first class with honors) from University of Mumbai (Bombay), India.  He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the distinguished National Scholars and Honor Society, Society of Information Management (SIM), and Phoenix CIO Roundtable Forum.

    Tony uses his operating experience from being a CEO, financial background as a CPA and CA, and technical knowledge from the work that he has done for Tech companies to drill down and understand at a nuanced level what his clients are seeking to achieve as they build their teams.     Marcus has held senior product management and marketing positions at Surgient, Troux Technologies, Vignette, Vantive and Oracle.  He began his career as a software engineer and development manager at IBM and Platinum Technology.  Marcus holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University with a concentration in Computer Science.

    After searching long and far, it was clear there are no great comprehensive solutions to help bring manufacturers into the online world. As Noribachi's CIO, Mark was tasked to create online opportunities for the commercial LED lighting product line. This lead to a series of experiments and eventually engineering and developing the platform which has become Inxeption's platform. As a software engineer with over 30 years of industry and senior executive management experience, he continues to strive today to build cutting edge solutions and disrupt the software world. While at Noribachi, Mark was also responsible for their IOT device product line as well as all online corporate infrastructure.

    Prior to Noribachi, Mark served as Senior Vice Products of Recommind and was responsible for Engineering, Product, Support and Cloud Services Delivery team for Recommind's eDiscovery products. While at Recommind, Mark oversaw and consistently grew Recommind's largest revenue division – OnDemand Services. Mark also led the worldwide Engineering and Product teams to advance from waterfall product development to sprint-based processes and eventually becoming a nimble DevOps organization.

    Mark also served as Executive VP - Products and Services for Niku Corporation (product Clarity acquired by Computer Associates), a designer of enterprise IT project/portfolio management systems, where he led all product operations including early design, delivery, marketing, professional services and support. He continues to be excited by the large Clarity user community and enthusiastic customer base which has progressed over the years.

    Mark was also a founding member of several high growth consumer startups specializing in cloud based video and music devices and services – Diba (information appliances), Listen.com/Rhapsody as well as CEO and the Founder of OneTrueMedia/Spotmixer.

    Mark began his career working for a nearly a decade in the Oracle Database Kernel Development team specializing in high scalable and performant data systems, holds patents in Media Servers, Online Video serving and Information Appliance Architectures. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.

Ms. Nustad’s 18 years of information technology management experience spans technical start-ups to complex Fortune 100 companies and includes executive experience in enterprise technology and business transformation.     Kim Owens is the founding executive director of Year Up Arizona. Year Up's mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. 

    Kim brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, technology recruiting, healthcare and hospitality. Prior to joining Year UP, Kim served as Vice President of Workforce Solutions at the Apollo Education Group. There, she formed strategic partnerships with more than 500 community colleges across the country to help fulfill their shared mission of building a globally competitive workforce. Kim also led a Global Solutions team, with the purpose of building-demand driven, scalable, academic solutions for Fortune 500 companies. 

    Kim currently serves on the executive committee and local board for Opportunities for Youth. She has also served on the board for Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (JAG) and UMOM New Day Centers; and was an active member of key industry organizations such as American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). Kim received a BS in Journalism/Public Relations from San Diego State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Kim and her husband Dan live in Phoenix and are active advocates in the community for youth, homelessness, education and workforce development

    Steve Phillips is the chief information officer at Alorica where he is responsible for setting and delivering IT strategy.  He reports to CEO Andy Lee and is a member of the Alorica Executive Committee. 

    Between 2005 and 2017 he served as CIO at Avnet. Between 2004 and 2005 he was CIO at Memec, a global electronic components distributor acquired by Avnet.

    Prior to joining Memec, Mr. Phillips was CIO for Gateway Inc. He was previously the IT leader for Diageo’s European foods business and early in his career he served in a number of engineering and operations leadership roles at Thorn EMI.

    Since 2012, he has served as chairman of the board of Wick Communications, a US-based news media business.

    In 2015, Mr. Phillips was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement that honors IT executives and visionaries whose leadership has significantly impacted the field of IT.

    Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Essex University and a post-graduate diploma in management studies from the University of West London. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
