  • Renee Arrington

    • Renee Arrington offers clients over 20 years’ experience in retained executive search. She excels in recruiting senior executive talent for Fortune 500 companies, private-equity-backed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She is a member of the Pearson Partners board of directors and leads the firm’s Fort Worth office and CIO and IT leadership practice with clients in technology, retail, financial services, business services, distribution and R&D. Renee conducts searches for board members, presidents and executive directors among other senior leadership positions.

    • Renee is a frequent speaker at the HMG Strategy CIO Summits around the country, and is a prolific business writer, having written a monthly column for CIO Decisions magazine and been quoted in The Wall Street Journal,, IT World, Network World and Business Process Outsourcing: The Competitive Advantage (Wiley 2005). She was honored among the finalists in D CEO’s 2016 CIO/CTO Awards in the Technology Advocate category.
    • Renee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Trinity University and studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris. She and her husband, Michael, live in Fort Worth.

  • Nellson Burns

    Nellson Burns moved to Dallas in 2007 from Houston to become Holly Corporation’s Vice President of Information Technology.  Holly Corporation is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer producing high-value products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel as well as specialty lubricants, oil and waxes.  Holly has major refinery operations New Mexico, Utah and Oklahoma that drive revenues above 8 billion dollars per year.  Nellson, a rising star in the Metroplex IT community, was recruited by Holly for this role at the age of 32.  Nellson helped complete the successful implementation of a comprehensive SAP software suite in 2007.  When Holly acquired two significant refineries within seven months in 2009 and doubled its refining capacity, Nellson successfully spearheaded the rapid business and technology integration efforts, including integrating the new refineries into SAP with a 4 week period.  He will get the chance to leverage these integration skills again, as Holly plans to merge with Frontier Oil Corporation in the early 3rdquarter this year.  Prior to joining Holly, Nellson was with Ernst & Young’s, then CapGemini’s, Oil & Gas SAP practice for nine years, were he “refined” his IT leadership skills.  Nellson serves as a member of the SIM DFW Chapter Board, and is the chairman of the global advisory council for SAP’s for Oil & Gas sector.  He is also on the advisory board for the Terry Foundation, the state’s largest private source of full academic scholarships.

  • David Clark

    David is an experienced legal counsel and business consultant who is currently technology counsel for a multibillion-dollar retailer with over 9,000 retail locations. He is responsible for and manages all aspects of the use, acquisition, development, and deployment of technology. David provides pragmatic, strategic advice and analysis of both legal and business issues.

    Additionally, he is also responsible for advising on the protection and use of varying types of data security and privacy issues. He is recognized as a Fellow of Information Privacy, Certified Information Privacy Professional – both U.S. and Europe, and Certified Information Technologist by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

    David began his technology practice at Hughes & Luce, LLP (now K&L Gates) prior to joining 7-Eleven in 2001.

    He is a creative strategist focused on achievable results while guiding companies through complex change events. His primary focus is on the strength of his team through mentorship, leadership and culture development.

    His skills and expertise allowed the companies that he worked for increase their revenue and EBITDA multiple times.

    The achievement he is most proud of is an analytics tool developed while at Davita Rx that positively affected the lives of 125,000 dialysis patients.

    On a personal note, James is married and he and his wife have two lovely daughters 21 and 14. With all that, he still found time to write and record a CD; that was released by a European indie label and can be found on iTunes.

    Mr. Cummings is a recognized leader in advising organizations on the recruitment, assessment, development, and retention of information technology as well as information security & risk management talent at all levels, including the Board of Directors. His clients range from large global corporations to high growth entrepreneurial companies, spanning all industries. In addition to Chief Information Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and their key leaders, he also recruits cybersecurity consultants for leading professional services firms as well as top executives for cybersecurity technology companies and managed security services providers. He is based in the Firm’s Dallas office.

    Prior to Korn Ferry, Mr. Cummings served as an associate principal in the industrial, supply chain, and transportation & logistics practices of another leading executive search firm, where he executed senior executive search assignments for both public and private equity-backed companies. He also served clients in the consumer & retail, technology, government & defense, biotechnology, and education sectors.

    Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Cummings was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas, where he worked on a wide variety of projects with clients in the aerospace & defense, consumer finance, telecommunications, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education industries.
    Earlier in his career, he served nine years with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Navy's SEAL teams.

    Archana (Archie) Deskus is Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In this role, Archie is responsible for every facet of HPE’s IT infrastructure and technology resources, working very closely with HPE businesses to achieve the company’s strategic goals. Additionally, she oversees NextGen IT, a nine-quarter IT transformation that will completely revamp HPE's internal IT systems.

    Prior to joining HPE, Archie was the CIO at Baker Hughes where she transformed their IT organization into a strategic business partner while delivering operational performance and business value through successful execution of their strategic initiatives. Before Baker Hughes, Archie held CIO roles at Ingersoll-Rand, Timex Corporation, and United Technologies Corporation.

    Archie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

  • Kevin Dunn

    Kevin Dunn is a technology strategist, speaker, and thought leader with over 20 years’ experience in highly available infrastructure, e-commerce, mobile application and payments, BYO Enterprise strategies, and the leadership of technical teams. He joined U.S. Retirement Partners (USRP) in December 2014 as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer where his responsibilities include technology platform development, enterprise security, and information management. Before that, through his independent practice, he assisted clients in creating innovation through a combination of people, process, and technology.

    Prior to entering independent practice, Mr. Dunn served as the Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations for First Command Financial Services, Inc. He and his team were responsible for defining and solving business problems through the application of state-of-the-art information technology. Mr. Dunn also served as the CIO for EdExpress Texas, LLP. In this role, he was a key participant in the development of a patented loyalty program supporting saving for education expenses. During this time, Kevin Dunn created the application and technology infrastructure of EdExpress, including customer service, transactional, and e-commerce systems.

    Earlier in his career, Kevin Dunn was Technology Strategist for Whittman Hart where he provided strategic guidance on network design, electronic commerce, security, and intranet deployment issues to senior management in the venture capital, manufacturing, insurance, banking, and finance industries through white papers, technical reports, presentations, and as a national corporate speaker. He also was a key member of information technology team at the Superconducting Super Collider project.

    Mr. Dunn graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication focusing on the areas of marketing, advertising and corporate video production. He has also participated in professional development courses and activities in a variety of leadership and technical areas, including completion of the Society of Information Management Regional Leadership Forum (SIM-RLF).

    Kevin lives in Duncanville, Texas with his wife and two children. He is active in church and community affairs, currently serving on the board of the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Information Management (DFW-SIM), and as a member of the Membership Committee for Shakespeare Dallas. Previously Mr. Dunn served as President of the Board of Directors of the Duncanville Economic Development Corporation and as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Duncanville.

    Anupam is a recognized digital transformation and globalization advocate and is active in many industry organizations supporting the technology and global services sector. He is a sought after keynote and speaker and has also chaired several conferences on Technology, Venture Capital and Outsourcing such as Digital Convergence, Wall Street Tech, BPO Innovations, and CIO Connect.  Anupam is a frequent contributor in industry publications such as CIO, CFO, Global Services, CIO Leadership, Pulse, Globalization Today, Outsourcing, Nearshore Americas. He has been a contributing author in a best-selling book on globalization – “Six Billion Minds: Managing Outsourcing in a Global Knowledge Economy” (2005).

    Anupam supports and is on the Board of several industry associations such SIG (Sourcing Interest Group), Global Digital Innovation Council and non-profit organizations such as Avasant Foundation and Asset Foundation. He has also been actively involved in the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem through his Board level role at TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).

    Anupam resides in Austin, Texas and received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from J. N. University, New Delhi and his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Delhi University.

As a CPA and having worked in the consulting and IT fields for many years, Ms. Graham brings with her a keen understanding of the clients support needs and their financial goals.

    Ms. Graham's career spans nearly 30 years of IT experience including 5 years in financial management, 15 years in consulting and 11 years leading large global IT organizations. Prior to joining Rimini Street, Ms. Graham was responsible for a large global rollout of Oracle EBS and Oracle technology to 56 countries around the world. She moved on to building and running global application support teams as well as vendor management for a major international chemical manufacturer.

    Ms. Graham holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas, an Executive MBA from Texas A&M University Commerce and is a Certified Public Accountant.

    Mark Grilli is vice president of product marketing for Document Cloud at Adobe. He is responsible for worldwide marketing strategy and implementation of Document Cloud, including Acrobat DC and Adobe eSign services. Prior to joining Adobe, Grilli held marketing and client services positions at WebEx (now a Cisco Company) and was co-founder in an elearning start up. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UCSB and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University.

    Steve Kendrick is President of KER Partners, LLC.  His background includes over 25 years of successful retained executive search industry and corporate recruitment professional experience. This experience includes leading successful search engagements and client relationships across commercial industry segments including financial services, payment systems, consumer retail, online-eCommerce, logistics-transportation, industrial, pharmaceutical and healthcare.  He has served industry leading clients including global Fortune 500 multinationals, mid-cap-mid-market public/private firms, as well as private equity backed portfolio companies.

    Prior to KER Partners, Steve was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and a key member of the firm’s global Information Technology Officers Practice.  He was also a Principal at Spencer Stuart and an Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates previously. He also served as president of a Dallas-based retained executive search boutique specializing in recruiting IT executive leaders and CIOs.

    Prior to entering executive search, Steve spent six years with EDS Corporation, performing both technical and professional recruiting, as well as providing recruitment training and counsel on employment-related issues.  He began his career as a district manager with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, where he was responsible for sales management and operations.

    Steve is an active speaker and panelist at key industry forums on topics including executive IT leadership development, career management and succession planning.  He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and the Society for Information Management (SIM).

    Steve earned his undergraduate degree in business from Jacksonville State University in Alabama, along with graduate studies at the University of Texas in Dallas.

    Rusty received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and completed the graduate finance program at Southern Methodist University. Rusty currently serves as a member of the SIM DFW Chapter Board.

    Rusty also spent 6 years on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and is well into his second decade as a Big Brother in that program.

  • Russ Medina

    Russ is the Executive Director for NPower Texas, a nonprofit whose mission is to create pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for young adults, military veterans and veterans’ spouses.  He is responsible for leading the program direction and strategic growth agenda for impact and expansion throughout Texas. This includes engaging and collaborating with Federal, State, Veterans Support Organizations, communities and businesses to support, guide and train veterans and their spouses for careers in technology. 

    NPower has impacted over 4,000 young adults, and 1,200 Veterans and Veterans Spouses. Recently, the Governor of Texas cited NPower with a Proclamation for its dedicated Apprenticeship and Workforce efforts.  In January of 2019, Russ was recognized by D CEO as the Outstanding Technology Advocate at the CIO/CTO Awards.

    Russ is a seasoned professional with decades of leadership experience in building and growing technology companies. He has contributed in a variety of roles with startup and fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining NPower, Russ led the development and deployment of 5 technology solutions across a global logistics and mobility company.  These new industry leading mobility solutions were responsible for winning new contracts totaling over $200M with customers such as Microsoft, Comcast, Nike, Amazon, Google,  and several NFL Teams. 

    As an entrepreneur, Russ raised $19.9M to fund a startup that built a nationwide broadband network for Northpoint Communications, a former Verizon company. Subsequently, in 2000, the Wall Street Journal recognized the company as Startup of the Year.

    In the US Army, Russ was selected by US Special Operations Command to be the career manager for approximately 9.990 officers.  As a Project Manager for Advanced Systems and Research and Development for USSOCOM, Russ launched the initial phase of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and ruggedized deployable media production and communications vehicle. 

    Russ is an advocate for other non-profits such as the American Legion, 22Kill, USO, Women Veterans in Technology, SIM, PMI, AUSA, ESGR, Allies in Service, CitySquare, and the United Way.  He is focused on helping veterans and their spouses successfully transition into new civilian careers.

    Russ Medina served as both as an enlisted soldier and officer.  He served as an Infantry Commander and he is a qualified Airborne Ranger. He received his commission from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.  Russ and his wife Lorie live in Frisco, TX, and have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

    Most recently, Joann was the CIO of BNSF Railway, supporting more than 2,000 global
    locations and their North American rail network. During her 10 year tenure as CIO, she led
    corporate strategy, operations research, data center operations, telecommunications, cyber
    security, train control operations, disruptive technologies practice, various functional business functions, and all application support (e.g. internally / commercially developed and SaaS business applications including the implementation of Salesforce in 2014).
