  • Eric Anderson

    Eric is the Managing Partner for the Egon Zehnder Atlanta office and the Head of the “FinTech” practice group. He is a core member of the Financial Services and Technology Practices serving industry clients in executive search, board search and management appraisal capacities. He is also a member of the Financial Officers practice having accomplished numerous senior level assignments.

    Eric’s consulting work touches on a broad array of functional areas, including senior general management positions as well as senior level functional leadership roles in a variety of sectors including financial services, software, services and high technology in both public and private equity backed companies.

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder International, Eric was the President of BISYS Compliance and Licensing Services where his responsibilities included growing the Education, Licensing and Advanced Designations’ business for BISYS. BISYS was sold to Citibank in 2005.

    Prior to joining BISYS, Eric gained significant experience in the technology field as a Vice President for S1 Corporation, a financial services software company, covering sales, marketing and general management in the U.S. and internationally. He served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of Knowledge Alliance, an information technology consulting organization, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ExecuTrain Corporation. Additionally, Eric worked for Baxter Healthcare in various international sales, marketing and operations roles.

    Eric has a BS in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami. After university, he served in the Armed Forces as a helicopter pilot in the Army. Eric, his wife Pam and their three children reside in Alpharetta, Georgia.

    Shoukat Ali Bhamani is the Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIO & CDO) for the Schaeffler Group Americas, a global automotive, industrial & aerospace manufacturer with $3.2B revenue and 13,000 employees in Americas.  Over the past 20 years, Shoukat has led several operational and strategic business functions to support a double digit growth in the manufacturing environment. This includes Strategic Planning, General Management, R&D, Program Management, Quality Systems, Continuous Improvement, Process Management and IT. His effective transformation leadership has successfully integrated the IT and business priorities via program management, roadmaps, goals, KPIs and strategic initiatives, across multiple platforms & business units, nationally & internationally.  Resulting in a uniform SAP landscape region wide, measurable business improvements, increased sales opportunities, optimized business processes & supply chain, efficient technology & infrastructure, IT cost transparency, and a high performance IT team to support business growth & strategy. He has now taken over the responsibility of digital transformation and is in the process of prioritizing business needs, establishing talents and executing digital solutions. 

    His business experience includes 10+ years of successful customer relationships to manage key programs & business development to support a significant increase in market share and bottom line.  His R&D contribution includes several new product development initiatives to meet the market challenges of new innovation and technology.  His international experience includes major programs across multiple platforms & business units, including product development, manufacturing, investment, cost reduction & IT projects in US, Canada, Mexico, Japan & Germany. Shoukat received his Bachelor's (NED) and Master's (McGill) degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.  He lives in Fort Mill, SC with his wife and two children.

    Prior to founding CIO Partners, Mike was the CIO for RTM Incorporated, a $1B private Fortune 500 organization.  There, he led technology services from an operational perspective and was able to customize and implement a process-based approach and customer service within a corporate IT organization.  Mike began his career as a systems engineer with the global technology consulting company Electronic Data Systems (EDS).  As a technology consultant within the automotive engineering and manufacturing industry for General Motors, he honed his technical ability and developed a strong sense toward process and project management that defines him to this day.

    Mike is an active volunteer with Kidz2Leaders, which provides mentorship, training and programs for at-risk teens. He is also a member of Roundtable CEOs, a faith-based organization of CEOs and entrepreneurs.  His other entrepreneurial endeavors include Talentric®, The National CIO Review®, CxO Professional Networks, and Burgett Enterprises, LLC.  His companies have been recognized multiple times as an Atlanta Business Chronicle Best Place to Work, and as a 5 time honoree on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies.  All corporate entities tithe 10% of company profits to charity.

In this role, Jim provides executive leadership to ensure Zendesk’s vision is realized through a modern, cloud-first technology stack. He sits at the intersection of pricing and packaging decisions for Zendesk’s SaaS products, enterprise platform, and process governance, and represents Zendesk in MGI's Monetization Leadership Council, a Silicon Valley group dedicated to identifying market trends and best practices for SaaS companies. Jim has worked in a technical leadership capacity for a number of notable tech companies including HP, Agilent Technologies, Unify, Turn, Omniture, and Adobe. Outside of his day to day executive functions, his interests include family, world travel, science, winter sports, and scuba-diving.

    Mark Gelhardt, is a retired Army officer and former CIO to The White House, supporting President Clinton, the VP, the White House Staff, and the U.S. Secret Service managing all the classified automation and telecommunications. Since retiring from the Army Mark has held multiple leadership positions in Information Technology and Information Security.  Mark has been the CIO/CSO for World Airways – the largest US wide body long-hall charter airline.  CTO (Global Operations)/CISO for InterCall - the world’s largest conferencing company.  Chief Information Security Officer for TravelClick - a Software as a Service company in the hospitality space.  Consulted as the Interim CISO for the Georgia Lottery & NCR.  Currently Mark is the VP, Global Technology Governance for US Bank/Elavon.  Mark is the author of “My time at the Clinton White House” which was published the summer of 2018.

    Roger joined the company in 1996 as a management consultant in the IBM Consulting Group.  He has spent his career in diverse leadership roles in both IBM Global Business Services and Global Technology Services providing clients with solutions to their most complex and critical business/technical challenges.  Most recently, Roger led a cross brand team to become IBM’s largest services client partnership in the world.  Roger’s previous employers include Cap Gemini, MIS Associates, and Surface Warfare Labs (SWL) a division of General Research Corporation. 

    Roger is a proud Hokie from Virginia Tech with an MBA concentration in Management Science/Decision Support Systems. Leadership style that centers on a genuine passion, motivation, respect for all and a drive to ensure our teams provide the best client experience and results in the industry. He also serves on the board of the Star House supporting after school programs for children and parents in need.

    Kevin N Hooper is President and General Manager of DCG for NA where he owns Sales, Channels, Solutions, Alliances and Services. Prior to Lenovo, Kevin led revenue generation at Rogue Wave Software as their Chief Revenue Officer focusing on developing and executing sales strategies, as well as aligning and optimizing the customer experience to deliver revenue. Kevin started his career designing nuclear power plant control rooms and coding some of the first interfaces to access databases over ARPANET in the early 1990s. Kevin brings experience with large sales organizations, including direct, channel, and strategic partnerships at Oracle, IBM, HP and NEC. Always focused on entrepreneurial business lines, new customer acquisition, and channels, Kevin brings his passion for solving customer problems with technology. Kevin holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. He lives in Winnetka, IL, a suburb of Chicago with his wife, 3 children and a black Labrador named Ash.

    Jason James serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Net Health, which recently acquired Optima Healthcare Solutions, and leads the development and transformation of all IT applications, infrastructure, security, DevOps, support and operations. Jason has over twenty years of experience transforming and modernizing IT organizations to ensure the highest level of performance and business alignment.     Prior to entering executive search, Steve spent six years with EDS Corporation, performing both technical and professional recruiting, as well as providing recruitment training and counsel on employment-related issues.  He began his career as a district manager with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, where he was responsible for sales management and operations.

    Steve is an active speaker and panelist at key industry forums on topics including executive IT leadership development, career management and succession planning.  He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and the Society for Information Management (SIM).

    Teresa has also served as Global Director Enterprise Architecture of Kimberly-Clark, in this role, she leveraged technology to develop global future-state business capabilities, blending people, process, technology and information. Interacted with all Information Technology C-executive roles and various business leaders. Served as the leader for architecture review board to guarantee adoption of digital technologies through all designs.

    Teresa also served as North American and European Business Intelligence Leader of Kimberly-Clark.

    Before joining Kimberly-Clark, Teresa held senior-level roles in the technology departments of Cadbury Stani Adams and Black & Decker and Dewalt.

    Both inside and outside the office, Teresa enjoys coaching and mentoring others in technology and career goals. She supports her passions by serving on the boards of one Enterprise Architecture; and leveraging her passion for technology applying it to disabilities

    An attorney for over 20 years, Puterbaugh has written and spoken extensively on issues related to digital transactions.  He is a past Chairman of the Electronic Signature and Records Association and has spoken at a wide variety of conferences in the US and Europe including the annual Association of Corporate Counsel, and American Bar Association Technology conferences.  He has published articles on a variety of topics related to digital transactions including simplifying legal workflows, the new EU electronic signature law, eIDAS and the challenges of electronic signature implementations.  He joined Adobe Systems in 2008 as legal lead for Adobe’s enterprise document solution, LiveCycle.As director of Strategic Development, Puterbaugh works closely with Adobe’s customers to accelerate their digital transformation and to direct Document Cloud’s development strategies.  Puterbaugh also helped form the Cloud Signature Consortium and helps drive Adobe’s thought leadership in the digital document space.Prior to joining Adobe, Puterbaugh spent seven years as assistant general counsel at Intuit Inc., a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for consumers, small and mid-sized businesses, and accounting professionals. While there, he was the lead attorney supporting all product development company-wide including the establishment and ongoing support of the company’s product development operations in Bangalore. Puterbaugh is a member of the California Bar Association. He received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University. He currently resides in Los Gatos, CA.

    Bill VanCuren is vice president and CIO for NCR Corporation. Bill is a member of both the corporate leadership team and Chief Financial Office organizations. His current assignment as the CIO has oversight over the full application realization process, portfolio management, global networks and processing services for both internal and external customer services, security and compliancy, and all workgroup computing. Bill has 30 years of experience in the information technology (IT) field and has held increasingly responsible positions. Bill established the first NCR captive IT development center in India, championed the engineering processes to achieve the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 3, and has driven world-class levels of both efficiency and improved effectiveness via a combined IT and business governance.  As a result of implementing leading practice strategies, his organization is consistently named to the Information Week500, and was listed in CIO magazine’s 2014 CIO 100 and Bill was named CIO of the year in Georgia for 2011. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, from The Ohio State University and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Dayton.     Bob Varnadoe is Chief Information Security Officer for NCR Corporation.  His duties include overall information security and operational/IT aspects of NCR’s privacy program, IT risk management, and compliance company-wide, training and awareness for information security, and oversight of the deployment of security technologies.   Bob works with NCR’s lines of business, Professional Services, Legal, Internal Audit, Customer Services and HW/SW Engineering to develop and build out our company-wide strategy for information security, and represents the IT organization in NCR’s Enterprise Risk Management committee.

    Prior to NCR, Bob was with Fiserv Corporation where he was responsible for information security within Fiserv’s corporate risk organization. His team was responsible for information security oversight, governance, and strategy across Fiserv’s business units. The team also provided consulting to Fiserv’s divisions and operating units for information security matters. Over his tenure at Fiserv Bob has led teams focused on information security engineering and operations for network infrastructure, distributed systems, and mainframe systems. He has also led teams focused on application security testing and consulting, information security strategy, and built Fiserv’s security operations center.  

    Bob joined Fiserv through the acquisition of CheckFree Corporation where he was responsible for information security strategy within CheckFree’s corporate function. Prior to joining CheckFree, Bob was IT Director for an architecture and engineering firm in Atlanta. He has over 20 years of experience in data networking and information systems. 15 years of which were spent exclusively in the security field.   Bob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
