AI is sometimes spoken about like something that will, in the future, secure networks. However, AI cyber security is already deployed by numerous companies to detect and fight back against increasingly advanced, fast-moving, and stealthy threats. At the same time, attackers are developing malicious AI, which will be almost impossible to detect. Companies that fail to deploy AI today may find themselves unable to detect the threats of tomorrow.

EXECUTIVE BRIEFING:  The Future of Work: Why the Employee Experience is Everything

Ashu Varshney, VP, Cloud Service Operations, RingCentral

Today's distributed workforce is chasing customers who are more tech-savvy and informed than ever. As innovation and disruption raise the customer engagement bar across all industries, there's no tolerance for gaps in communication, no time to waste on issues that don't matter, and no excuse for missing an angry customer tweet that could cost millions in revenue.

To stay competitive in this fast-paced environment, CIOs may be tempted to deploy different "cutting-edge" solutions to address each technology challenge they face. But this siloed approach overlooks the negative impact it can have on employees and their productivity as they swivel-chair between multiple, disconnected systems. Imagine... What could be possible if employees were empowered to communicate, collaborate, and innovate around their most important work? During this session, we explore how CIOs can make this vision a reality by focusing on the single most important piece of their digital transformation journey: the employee experience.

EXECUTIVE BRIEFING: Transformation in a Complex World

Ben Martin, Executive Director & General Manager, Lenovo DCG Professional Services & Xaas, Lenovo

The reality is that it’s a complex and dynamic world for IT leaders, we are in the middle of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the pace of digital transformation is forcing CIOs to change. We and our customers are more connected, disrupted, impatient, and demanding than ever before. Data is expanding exponentially, and this new oil presents both opportunity, and challenge. Thriving in this new economy will be dependent on companies’ ability not just to out disrupt their competitors, but to capture and extract value from the data they collect. Keeping pace with this and the change in operating models needed is both challenging, and critical to remain competitive in today’s rapidly changing IT landscape. CIOs need to be more engaged with the business to deliver breakthrough innovation, and the business needs to reposition their perspective of IT – recognizing it as a strategic asset, and not just an enabler of infrastructure. IT can still beat the odds by being prepared to react fast, by laying the groundwork for optionality, and by choosing their IT transformation partners wisely. Strong leadership with a disruptive attitude is necessary to guide an organization through rapid changes in technology, customer behaviors and business models.
