  • Bertina Ceccarelli

    Bertina Ceccarelli joined NPower as Chief Executive Officer in May, 2016.  NPower is a national nonprofit dedicated to creating pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities.  NPower empowers under-represented talent to pursue tech futures by teaching the digital and professional skills demanded by the marketplace, and by engaging corporations, volunteers and nonprofits in the long-term success of our students. 

    Ms. Ceccarelli is an engineer by training and began her career in technology as a Systems Analyst for Procter & Gamble before moving into sales and marketing for the company.  After P&G, she joined the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), where she served in several executive roles, including Senior Vice President, Marketing for NBC’s online ventures and Senior Vice President for Brand Strategy for NBCi, a portfolio company of the broadcast network.

    After a successful career in the corporate sector, Ms. Ceccarelli chose to transition her skills to the nonprofit sector.  Growing up in a working-class family and the first to graduate from high school, she was drawn to a community that once supported her own educational endeavors.  In 2001, Ms. Ceccarelli joined United Way of New York City as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement where she led marketing, brand strategy, donor relationship management, fundraising, and corporate volunteer engagement.

    Prior to her appointment at NPower, she served as Executive Vice President of Global Resources at the Wildlife Conservation Society where she led fundraising from private sources, capital campaigns, corporate strategy, conservation finance, membership, direct response, and events. She was responsible for generating over $85 million annually in programmatic and unrestricted funds. In her role she led brand development and strategy for the Society and launched Future Leaders, a workforce development initiative to accelerate career success for local Bronx youth.

    Bertina holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has served on the board of Girls Inc. New York and the Strategic Planning Council for Brooklyn Youth Chorus.  She has also served on the board of Women in Development and chaired the Harvard Business School Club of New York’s Social Enterprise Conference.  She is a certified yoga instructor.  Bertina lives in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn with her husband and teenage son.

     

  • Susan Certoma

    Susan Certoma is an executive leading next-generation businesses and developing innovative technology solutions for the Financial Services industry. In her leadership roles, Susan has been responsible for managing business P&L’s as well as global technology divisions across multiple product areas. In her Board and Advisory roles, she has worked with CEO’s in multiple industries focused on business value and transformation.

    Susan is currently a Director on the Southwest Power Pool Board as well as a member of the Finance Committee.  In addition, she holds strategic advisory roles at a major insurance company and an established global Financial Technology firm along with serving on Strategic Advisory Boards for multiple start-ups. She is also an FWSIM Board Director and has served as the President of the Board.

    Before focusing on Board and Advisory roles, Susan was President of Enterprise Engineering, Inc.  (EEI).  She had responsibility for all aspects of the strategic consulting and software businesses including Sales, Development, Client Relationship Management and Management / Technical Consulting.

    Previous to her role at EEI, Susan was President of the Wealth & Markets Division at Broadridge, responsible for Strategy, Technology, Architecture, Sales, Product Development, Business Development, Client Relationships and Service Delivery.

    Prior to Broadridge, Ms. Certoma was the global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Corporate & Investment Bank at Wachovia. In her role, she created a premier technology organization, which transformed the bank’s technology into an industry-leading platform.

    At Goldman Sachs, Susan led Global Sales/Trading Technology. She also was responsible for the Strategy and Planning function reporting to the global CIO.

    Susan also has held senior leadership positions in Technology & Operations at Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, First Boston (Credit Suisse) and Royal Bank of Canada. 

    As a leader, she has chaired committees for Women in Technology, Learning & Development, Career Development, Employee Engagement and Talent Management.

    Susan is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of St. John’s University with a B.S in Management / Economics and an MBA in Finance. She has also completed Special Study Programs at Dartmouth College and Yale University along with Executive Education Programs at UNC Chapel Hill and Wharton. 

    Susan was recognized by Forbes as one of the top 25 Women in Technology. She was also a Gold Book Honoree by Wall Street & Technology and one of the Women Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal. In addition, her high performing teams have received industry-wide recognition across a broad spectrum of platforms. She is a member of several Women’s Networks including 100 Women in Finance and Meytier.

    In addition to her current roles, Susan has served on the following Boards:  Direct Edge Stock Exchange (Ranked in the top 4 U.S. Exchanges; acquired by BATS Global Markets), Mediant Communications, Make-A-Wish Connecticut, Enterprise Data Management Council and several early stage FinTech firms.

  • Bev Crair

    Bev Crair is Vice President of the DCG Product Development and Quality organization. This team is responsible for designing and developing all the servers, storage systems, and networking systems sold by Lenovo’s Data Center Group. Bev joined the company in August 2017 following a successful tenure at Intel. While there, she held numerous VP/GM roles in the Data Center Group, the Internet of Things (IOT) Group and was creator and head of the Software Strategic Initiatives Group. Prior to Intel, Bev was vice president of DXi Engineering at Quantum Corporation, and held a variety of senior management and engineering positions at Burroughs (now Unisys), Cadence Design Systems, Cisco Systems, Educomp and Sun Microsystems (now Oracle). Her tenure at Sun included the honor of receiving the Sun Microsystems Leadership Award.

    Bev holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. She is a Trustee of the UC Santa Cruz Foundation Board as well as a standing member of the Dean's Advisory Council at the UC Santa Cruz Baskin School of Engineering. Given her passion for Diversity and Inclusion, Bev is Lenovo’s Executive Sponsor for both Dress for Success and the Wake Tech Community College Work Based Learning Internship Program.

    Marty Droney is the Chief Information Officer at Leumi. Marty joined Leumi in 2017.

    Prior to joining Leumi, Marty served as Chief Information Officer for the Card Services division of Fiserv. He joined Fiserv in 2010. Prior to Fiserv, Marty held technology leadership positions in a variety of industries and organizations, including consulting positions with both Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

    Marty has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in management of technology; both from Lehigh University. Marty is also a member of the Rutgers Cybersecurity Advisory Board.

    Cindy Finkelman joined FactSet Research Systems as Chief Information Officer in June 2015.  Cindy is responsible for Enterprise Transformation, Project Management, Security and Enterprise Risk Management; and works with senior business leaders to build strategic, effective and efficient capabilities through innovative and transformational programs.  Cindy was recognized as CIO of the Year by the 2017 Markets Media Women in Finance Awards, for her transformative impact on the company, her mentoring of women technologists and her philanthropic work.

    Cindy is a senior executive with 20+ years of diversified management, technology and operations experience and has a proven track record of designing and delivering technology driven transformational programs in many blue-chip firms, including New York Life Insurance Company, ALICO, Merrill Lynch, Marsh & McLennan, Prudential, Booz Allan & Hamilton and MetLife. Cindy’s passion is for people development. She has sponsored various mentoring programs and Women in Technology initiatives.

    Cindy has an MBA from NYU in Corporate Strategy/Entrepreneurship, and a BS from SUNY/Albany.  Cindy is currently a Board member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) NY chapter where she is responsible for the Program Committee and actively participates in SIM Women. 

  • Marcus Fowler

    Marcus Fowler spent 15 years at the Central Intelligence Agency developing global cyber operations and technical strategies, until joining Darktrace in 2019. He has lead cyber efforts with various US Intelligence Community elements and global partners, and has extensive experience advising senior leaders on cyber operations. He is recognized as a leader in developing and deploying innovative cyber solutions. Prior to serving at the CIA, Marcus was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Marcus has an engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters' Degree in International Security Studies from The Fletcher School. He also completed Harvard Business School's Executive Education Advanced Management Program.

    Tsvi’s career included work as CTO and CIO in several banks including Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo as well as in non-banks including general partner of a private equity firm, president of AT&T.com and CIO of Time Warner Music.

  • Dustin Goodwin

    As Chief Information Officer at Icahn Enterprises, Dustin Goodwin is responsible for leading the delivery of Wall Street-grade mobility, security and support to Icahn’s corporate offices. In addition, he leads IT operations of smaller privately-held Icahn businesses and frequently advises IT leaders within the portfolio on various digital and security initiatives. Among his peer group of CIO’s within the Icahn investment portfolio,  Dustin advocates the adoption of leading edge digital technologies and organizational practices and is constantly in search of new technologies that will provide competitive advantages to the diverse set of industries in which Icahn invests. As required, Dustin consults with the investment team on technology-related opportunities.   Prior to joining Icahn, Dustin served as a director at Royal Bank of Canada; worked for The Blackstone Group, Cisco Systems, and Citigroup; and has consulted independently for many Wall Street firms.

    Chuck is a Partner in the New York office and leads the Chief Information Officers Practice on the East Coast.  He brings deep expertise in Chief Information Officer searches across numerous industries including Financial Services, Life Sciences, Industrial, Technology, and Public Sector .

    Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Chuck was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan in its Treasury & Securities Services (TSS) division. With TSS, he served as the Chief of Staff for the Global Head of Treasury Services Operations.  He was also a member of the TSS Strategy team where he had responsibility for leading strategy projects and executing M&A transactions. Previously, Chuck was a Director at Liberty Mutual Group where he worked on the Corporate M&A and Corporate Strategy teams.  Chuck also worked in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston.

    Prior to pursuing an MBA at the Wharton School, Chuck worked as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company serving clients across a variety of industries.  He also worked as an Applications Developer at TenFold Corporation, a software company focused on developing large-scale applications.

    Mike received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, and received his M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management

    Mike believes that the cycle of intergenerational poverty will not be broken unless we engage the whole community – private, public and non-profit sectors – in the effort.   • Kevin Lash

He has over 25 years’ experience driving the adoption of emerging technology and software applications across banking, capital markets and insurance.     Last began my career within applications engineering for Bank of Boston, First Union Capital Markets and as a Vice President of Development for Fidelity Investments. More recently, he has worked with enterprise technology companies including Nutanix, Red Hat, EMC and IBM to expand their financial services value proposition and grow their global business. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and served as a Captain of Mountain Infantry in the Army National Guard.

    Susan Miller is Brightfield’s Chief Revenue Officer. Susan is a strategic digital transformation leader and serial entrepreneur, who lives for innovation, growth, and nerdy tech, with 20+ years of commercial experience at startup, mid-size, and large companies globally.

    Most recently, Susan was a Partner, General Manager, and Global Intellectual Capital Solutions Group Leader with Mercer, the HR consulting division of $6B Marsh & McLennan. She led Mercer’s subscription, insight, and analytics businesses across the firm. Prior to Mercer, Susan held positions as Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Sales, and Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer for JustAPIs and AnyPresence (acquired by TIBCO), both VC-backed by Grotech Ventures, Kinetic Ventures, and Citrix Systems. Here, she managed growth, developed enterprise partnerships, channels, and strategy, and won third place at a SXSW Hackathon.

    Susan also held several senior leadership roles across 11 years at The Corporate Executive Board (acquired by Gartner). She pioneered several CEB businesses for heads of Finance, HR, Legal, Operations and Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and IT, including the SMB start-up division, with responsibility for $60M+ growth, 175+ staff and 5000+ customers, the global advisory offering, and emerging issues research. Susan’s career is grounded in strategy, with experience as a strategy consultant at Mercer Management Consulting, a contributing author to several best-selling books on digital business design, as well as strategy and new product development at Staples, Inc.

    She is accomplished as a board member, active volunteer, women’s business mentor, and avid Cleveland sports fanatic. Susan has been honored with Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Spirit of Life Award, Innovation Enterprise’s Disruptive Strategy Award, and CEB’s Spirit of Generosity and Force of Ideas Awards. She split her academic career between Wellesley and Dartmouth Colleges, with executive education at Wharton. Susan and her husband, Conor, reside in Arlington, VA with their four children.
