1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Coffee Break, Networking and Meet Our Partners

2:00 PM - 2:20 PM HMG Lead, Reimagine, Reinvent Interview: What's Missing From Cloud Security

Nabil Zoldjalali
Director of Cloud Security, Darktrace, interviewed by Hunter Muller, President and CEO, HMG Strategy, LLC

As Cloud Service Providers continue to bolster their cyber defenses, sophisticated criminals are increasingly targeting the weak link in the cloud’s Shared Responsibility Model: you.  In fact, Gartner estimates that at least 99% of cloud security failures will have occurred on the customer’s portion of this model by 2023 — the result of insider threats that legacy tools aren’t designed to detect and machine-speed attacks that incident responders can’t contain.

The latest cyber AI systems employ a fundamentally unique approach to safeguard today’s borderless networks, one that defends multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures in real time. Unlike conventional security tools that look only for known malware variants at the perimeter, cyber AI works by self-learning what constitutes normal behavior for each user, device, and container it protects, monitoring the entire digital estate to catch the subtly anomalous behavior indicative of both novel and insider threats. Most critically, cyber AI response capabilities can now autonomously neutralize cloud-based attacks in seconds — before it’s too late. Such attacks have unfortunately become a fact of life for today’s cities and companies, but with cyber AI, data stored in the cloud can weather the storm.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How cyber AI response tools neutralize cloud attacks that strike at machine speed
  • Where criminals are exploiting key blind spots on modern, borderless networks
  • Why only the AI anomaly detection approach can catch cloud-based insider threats
  • What gaining 100% visibility across your virtual environments, third-party clouds, and hybrid deployments can reveal about your latent vulnerabilities

2:20 PM - 2:50 PM

EXECUTIVE BRIEFING:  Digital Workplace: It's About Culture, People and Technology

Gary Sorrentino, CIO Advisor, Global CIO Office, Zoom

When culture, people and technology come together seamlessly - real results follow. The world of work is changing and we've already started to glimpse the future workplace, and it's not a place or a building or a cubicle. The difference today between high performing organizations and those that are seeking to become high performers is a willingness to embrace employee values, empower people to work the way that they want to work and support this with enabling technology.

2:50 PM - 3:20 PM

Coffee Break, Networking and Meet Our Partners

3:20 PM - 4:00 PM

EXECUTIVE PANEL:  Preparing Yourself to be Boardroom Ready

Paul Martin, SVP & CIO, Baxter International and Board of Director, Unisys Corporation

Earl Newsome, CIO, Americas IT, Linde PLC and Board of Directors, First Independence Corp. and First Independence Bank

Brad Strock, Independent Director, Elevate Credit and CIO, PayPal (Retired)

Moderator:  Daphne Jones, Board of Directors AMN Healthcare Services, Barnes Group, Inc. and Masonite International and Founder, Destiny Transformations Group

Every company is on a digital journey. CIOs and CTOs are best positioned to guide that process – but not many find themselves on company boards. Why?

This panel comprises top technology executives who sit on company boards.  They will share insights into what it takes to be boardroom ready, how to get on a board, and what skills are needed to be effective in that role.

4:00 PM - 4:10 PM

Transition Break

4:10 PM - 4:50 PM

EXECUTIVE PANEL:  Enterprise 2025:  Lead, Reimagine, Reinvent to Execute World-Class Strategies

Chris Gates, CTO, Allstate

Paul Martin, SVP & CIO, Baxter International

Quintin McGrath, Senior Managing Director, Technology Management & Enablement, Global Technology Services, Deloitte

Moderator: Hunter Muller, President and CEO, HMG Strategy

The speed, scope and nature of disruption facing businesses is unprecedented. In today’s fast-changing economy, only the agile will survive. To tackle these challenges head on and to position the organization for competitive advantage, CIOs and technology executives must apply a fresh mindset to identify and execute on new sources of technology-driven innovation along with the cultural transformation that’s necessary to drive successful business outcomes.

This panel of top technology executives will share leadership skills needed to foster a culture of innovation and carry out world-class strategies.
