During that period, both customer and employee trust reached new highs and the company expanded throughout the world into over 40 countries, which greatly increased the value of the brand and company. The company was valued at only $2.4 million when Stephen was named CEO, and, within three years, he grew shareholder value to $160 million in a merger he orchestrated with then Franklin Quest to form FranklinCovey.

    Adam Fletcher is the Chief Information Security Officer for Blackstone, one of the world’s leading investment managers. He is responsible for all aspects of cybersecurity across Blackstone as well as managing a small portfolio of investments in leading early-stage cybersecurity companies. Prior to his current role, Mr. Fletcher was Blackstone’s Deputy CISO and helped lead an engaged community of cybersecurity professionals across Blackstone’s portfolio of companies. As a cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of experience, Adam has worked with global cybersecurity organizations large and small including McAfee, Nokia, VeriSign, ISS and Accuvant. Adam built a strong technical foundation through roles in security technology implementation and security architecture design, which has been complemented by management experience gained from roles leading consulting engagements and global teams of information security professionals. Prior to joining Blackstone, Adam led the International Security team for Equifax, coordinating a global security program across 14 countries, each with different business, regulatory, and privacy requirements. Mr. Fletcher received a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. He currently serves as an observer on the boards of CyberGRX and ShiftLeft, and as a Director on the board of Pcysys, and has been a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) since 2011.

    Paris Forest is the Director of Strategy Operations Solutions for Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA), responsible for defining strategy and action planning for an initiative aimed at transforming IT&DA from a project driven to product managed organization at scale.

    Paris joined The Boeing Company in May of 1999, after two internships and has held various technical and leadership positions in the Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics organization. During her time with the company, Paris has been instrumental in leading key efforts and cross-functional business and technology teams on major capital and non-capital programs and projects. Prior to her current position, Paris was the Director of Second Century Product Support for Product Systems. As a part of her duties, Paris was responsible for leading a dynamic cross functional team providing a revenue generating portfolio of solutions enabling the Second Century for Boeing Global Services, Boeing Commercial Airlines Customer Support and Boeing Defense & Space Programs.  Paris is a newlywed and now the proud parent of four and spends her free time enjoying their schooling and sporting activities, travelling with her husband, reading, going to movies and participating in church and community events with her family

    Paris holds her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Missouri Baptist University and Executive MBA from Washington University Olin Business School.  Paris was most recently recognized by the St. Louis American newspaper receiving the 2019 Salute to Business – Excellence in Business Performance award. Nationally, Paris was one of the 2018 Women of Color in Technology receiving the New Media/IT Leadership Award; at Boeing, she was awarded the 2018 St. Louis Site Diversity and Inclusion Executive Walk the Talk award, given to one executive at the St. Louis site who is recognized for “an achievement of distinction for doing the right thing, leading by example and making it happen”.

    In the community, Paris serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis Science Center; and the Board of Directors for Webster Child Care Center - a quality provider of care and education for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age with a focus on social-emotional and academic preparedness and scholarship programs for families in crisis.  Paris also represents The Boeing Company on the Champions Board of the National Girls Collaborative Project – A national project connecting organizations working to advance the agenda in gender equity encouraging girls to pursue careers in STEM.  Paris is also the standing chair for the Ora Lee Cancer Research Foundation St. Louis brunch, an event to help the foundation take steps to reach a fundraising goal of $10M to start human trials on an advanced laser/nanoparticle therapy proven to destroy tumors in mice, in 15 days, with no observable side effects.

    Educated at MIT (with degrees in physics, EE/CS, and a masters in cryptography) Mark has spent his career launching and fixing new ventures at startups, Fortune 500s, and academia taking on roles in general management, operations, and technology. His work includes tracking terrorists and cyber criminals on the dark web, cybersecurity, mobile enterprise platforms, online advertising, lead generation, big data solutions and more. Mark was instrumental in launching Service Live, Sears’ online home services labor market; he also helped fix NBCs online video marketplace (now Hulu). At HBS Mark worked with two finance professors to create the upTick system now used to teach finance at many of the top business schools. At MIT Mark helped to start the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program, dubbed MIT’s “Career success accelerator” at which he teaches annually. Mark is the author of The Career Toolkit, Essential Skills for Success No One Taught You.

    Edward Jones Chief Human Resources Officer Kristin Johnson leads the firm’s efforts to attract, develop and engage a diverse workforce, foster an inclusive culture and grow human capital capabilities to support the firm’s Five-year Plan.

    Kristin joined Edward Jones in 1995 as a member of the Internal Audit department and two years later was named the department’s internal audit manager. In 2000, she relocated to the Operations division, where she held leadership roles in several account and trade processing departments. Kristin was named a principal in 2006 and worked in the firm’s Retirement Services and Client Reporting areas over the next six years. In March 2012, she relocated to the firm’s Service division to lead the Service Optimization business unit, which she led until assuming responsibility for BOA Talent Acquisition and Performance in 2013. During her tenure with the BOA area, the role evolved to provide even more proactive contributions to the client experience and became a more integral member of the branch team. She became the interim co-leader of Human Resources in April 2019 and was named the firm’s chief human resources officer the following November.

    Kristin helps the firm work toward its objective of creating a talented and diverse workforce by serving as a senior executive sponsor of the firm’s Black African American and Young Professionals Business Resource groups.

    A native of Belleville, Ill., Kristin graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. She earned a master’s in information management from Webster University and completed Washington University’s executive MBA program.

    Kristin is active in several organizations and serves on the boards of the Center of Creative Arts (COCA), Webster University and the St. Louis Fashion Fund.

    Dilip Krishna is a Managing Director in Deloitte & Touché LLP. He primarily advises financial services clients on topics of digital transformation and technology adoption across a wide range of business functions including compliance, reporting, risk management, risk analytics and fraud management. His primary focus in over 25 years of consulting and industry experience has been around helping clients effectively apply new and disruptive technology to effect transformative business changes using big data and advanced analytics, cloud and cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. He also leads Deloitte’s next-generation artificial intelligence platform – CortexAI.

    Prior to joining Deloitte, Dilip served as a partner and leader at Teradata Corporation where he oversaw the Professional Services practice in financial services. He worked closely with large banking clients to implement some of its largest analytics systems. He has worked with government agencies in regulation and transparency, including being called upon to offer expert testimony to the United States Congress.

    In addition, Dilip has been widely published and quoted in the areas of robotics, AI, risk information and risk architecture. He is a senior editor and contributing author of the Handbook of Financial Data and Risk Information (Cambridge University Press).

BJC HealthCare is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health care organizations with $5.3 billion in net revenues and more than 31,000 employees in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. Its teaching hospitals, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, are affiliated with internationally renowned Washington University School of Medicine. Modica has a long-tenured career in the information security field at multiple Fortune 1000 companies in the financial services, health care and data services industries. Modica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Southeast Missouri State University and is currently attending Webster University’s MBA program. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Modica is passionate about preparing the next generation to serve in cybersecurity and STEM-related roles. He serves on the St. Louis CISO board and cybersecurity advisory committees for Southeast Missouri State University, Webster University, Washington University, SecureWorld St. Louis and the Evanta CXO Summit. Additionally, Modica sits on the Autism Speaks STL golf committee whose mission is to raise funds to support research and services for those on the autism spectrum.

    Karl Mudra is the enterprise Chief Information Officer at Delta Dental of Missouri. He joined Delta Dental in 1992. Mr. Mudra is responsible for the strategic and operational information technology discipline for both internal and external clients, and nurtures the integration of client e-business initiatives, security and complex automation needs through technology. 

    Prior to his work for Delta Dental, Mr. Mudra held various IT roles with Southwestern Bell, SSE Inc. He started his career providing computer-based training, infrastructure and development solutions as a consultant to Maritz, Emerson Electric, Monsanto and McDonnell Douglas.

    Mr. Mudra earned dual bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science from Fontbonne University, as well as an MBA and a Master of Arts degree in computer resources/information management from Webster University. 

    Mr. Mudra is a member of InfraGard, a joint public-private security information sharing and analysis organization in conjunction with the FBI, the St. Louis Mankind Project and a NACD Governance Fellow.

Prior to joining Netskope, Lamont was CISO for Vista Equity Partners/Vista Consulting Group. He was responsible for managing the cybersecurity programs and development of cybersecurity talent within the Vista portfolio, which included more than 50 companies. Prior to Vista, Lamont was Information Security Officer for Websense. In that role, he was responsible for developing, maintaining and socializing the company’s internal security program.  He was also responsible for working with current and potential customers demonstrating security of the solutions and the connection to the overall security ecosystem.

    Nalini Polavarapu has been with Bayer for over ten years and heads the data science strategy and portfolio for Bayer Crop Science division. Data science activities range from applying data, IT, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing and analytics to derive data-driven insights to enhance customer value, invent cognitive systems to deliver predictive pipeline for research and development, analytics to connect supply chain to improve net promoter score and reduce cost of goods and implement digital tools for environmental and customer sustainability.

    Over the course of her career, Nalini held positions of increasing levels of leadership responsibilities managing teams operating across geographies in Americas, EMEA, Asia and Africa, and has successfully established and led an off-shore center in India. She also initiated multiple external partnerships and collaborations with start-ups, large corporations and universities. Nalini played a key role in building a world-class global data science organization at Bayer which is now at 500+ and growing.

    Nalini has a PhD and dual Masters in Computer Science and Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Nalini has authored and co-authored multiple analytical patents, research articles in leading scientific journals and co-authored book chapters on high throughput data analysis and applications.

    Sherry Ryan is Former Vice President and CISO of Juniper Networks.   Previously, Sherry held similar leadership positions at Blue Shield of California, Hewlett-Packard, Safeway and Levi Strauss where she established and led their information security programs.  Sherry holds the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2, and the National Association of Corporate Directors CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University. 

     

    She is a member of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) and the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) CISO Executive Forum.   Sherry was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Internet Security, Silicon Valley Women of Influence, Women in IT Silicon Valley Security Champion award, Top Fifty Most Powerful Women in Tech and 100 Top Women in Technology.

     

    Sherry has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, and earned her MBA from the College of Notre Dame.

    During her more than two decades in the agriculture industry, Kristine has led strategy development of integrated agronomic solutions, drove improved customer centricity through digital capabilities, accelerated the use of customer data and analytics to drive decision-making, and delivered efficiencies through enterprise capabilities.

    Kristine received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Information Systems and International Business from Fontbonne University.

    James (Jim) Swanson previously served as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of Digital Transformation for the Crop Science division of Bayer. Based in Monheim, Germany, Swanson led teams across the world using digital innovation and data science to transform and deliver world-class products and services sustainably. 

    Most recently, Swanson was the Chief Information Officer at Monsanto for the past five years. His breadth of experience also includes executive and scientific roles at Merck, Johnson & Johnson and SmithKline Beecham. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioscience and Biotechnology and a master’s degree in Computer Science, both from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Swanson is a member of the St. Louis CIO Board, Washington University’s Information Technology Advisory Council and the External Advisory Committee of the McDonnell International Scholars Academy at Washington University. 

    Swanson is married with three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys running, biking, skiing, scuba diving and boating. Swanson volunteers with the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight Organization, United Way Ready by 21 and the American Heart Association.

    Prior to joining Edward Jones she was with Ascension for two years as Vice President of Enterprise and Experience Product.  Before Ascension she was with Express Scripts as Vice President of Member Experience Technology.  Both roles were focused on customer experience while leading product and technology transformations.

    Christine earned an MBA from University of Missouri St. Louis and an undergraduate degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.  She spends her free time, when there is not a pandemic, traveling with her husband.

Her career has led her to work in Canada, China, Indonesia, France, and The Netherlands. She acts as a coach to senior executives on boards and top teams and has a passion for supporting and advancing women leaders.

    Johanna currently runs Gender Fair, a platform that uses data analytics to determine an organization’s progress towards gender equality and diversity.  Prior to this, Johanna co-founded GiveBack, an innovative platform that makes it easy for companies to build authentic and impactful cause marketing, workplace giving and other social responsibility initiatives. GiveBack was launched on the Oprah Winfrey Show during her final season in 2011.

    Johanna is originally from the Netherlands and educated in Canada where she earned an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Business Administration. She resides in Westchester, NY, where she runs the Women Entrepreneurs Network and serves on several boards.
