  • Stefanie Causey
Associate Partner, Salesforce Consulting Services - Financial Services Sector
    IBM Global Business Services

At her best at the intersection of business strategy development, operational execution, and technology transformation, she has spent two decades helping business leaders envision the art of the possible with technology strategy and driving cultural change with highly technical resources that struggle to understand the language, let alone user stories and requirements.  She has a knack for bringing focus and drive to chaos and just simply building organizations that get s**t done and done right.

She has held leadership positions in a variety of industries from financial services to software organizations and played a variety of roles from being the fixer to most recently building a multi-national organization that drove a technology and culture transformation that replaced a burning enterprise on premise platform with an integrated suite of best-of-breed cloud enterprise applications in less than seven months.  She joined the cloud journey early by taking a practice lead role at an early system implementer adopter and had never looked back.  Her years of experience driving solution architecture in back office solutions across all sizes of organizations has led to her being a highly sought-after leader and speaker, and she relishes the opportunity to share her story as a way to help others avoid the learning opportunities she faced as an early entrant to the cloud space.

Stefanie joined IBM as an Associate Partner in their Salesforce Innovation Unit, focused on the Financial Services Sector in 2020, to be a part of IBM’s platinum partnership with Salesforce.  She is bringing her strategic business mind to the largest banks in North America, helping drive Digital Customer and Employee Experience transformation without ever losing sight of the humanness perspective that is innate in any journey embarked upon by people that interact with technology.  And man is she having FUN while she’s doing it with some incredibly smart thought-leaders and crazy bleeding edge technology too!

  • Ariel Evans
    CEO
    Cyber Innovative Technologies

Ariel is a senior cybersecurity expert, serial entrepreneur, and author. Ariel is the CEO of Cyber Innovative Technologies, a cyber risk management platform company and the founder of Cyber Intelligence 4U (CIU) an educational cybersecurity company. She has won numerous awards including the EU Commission award for Innovation in cyber risk and Gartner Cool Vendor in Privacy Management.

Ariel is the pioneer of the digital asset approach to cyber risk.  She is the author of ‘Managing Cyber Risk*’ published by Routledge Press in April of 2019.  Her book is based upon three years of research with the Fortune 1000 and cyber insurance industry.  Over 200 interviews were done identifying the gaps in company maturity and cyber risk compared to with over 20 company metrics.  The result is what Ariel defines as ‘the digital asset approach.’  Over 85 percent of a business is now in digital form compared to 10% in 2001.  That means 85% of a business’s value is digital.  The book provides the basis to measure digital asset risk with use cases for measuring cyber resilience, cyber insurance needs, M&A risk quantification, resource and budgeting needs in metrics that boards and directors can understand.

Founded in 2018, Cyber Intelligence 4U is a cyber education services company that provides leading courses for universities, organizations and individuals focused on filling the gaps in traditional education that are needed to meet the challenges of the digital age.  These include the use of the hands-on learning for students.  The courses include enterprise cybersecurity, executive cybersecurity, cyber risk, cloud, mobile, vendor and technical training needs, including a challenge based offensive and defensive cybersecurity program.  The offensive defensive cybersecurity program uses a gamified approach developed by former National Security Agency (NSA) elite. Over 4000 students have gone through the programs in 2018.  Clients include Verizon, AM Best, Citibank, Pace University and Rutgers University.

Her most recent product company, Cyber Innovative Technologies has patented this approach and created a platform called VRisk for cyber risk management that has a cyber risk engine and management platform.  The risk engine is graphically based and can be used to create the metrics mentioned in the preceding paragraph.  The management platform is a set of dashboards, reposts and workflows that are role based for directors and officers including CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, DPOs, CROs, compliance teams, vendors, regulators and auditors.

Previously, she created a value-added distribution company for Israeli Cyber Security companies that was sold for 20x revenues.  Formerly, she was a founder of two software companies in the US that were spun and sold to BMC and elance.com, a Kleiner Perkins company.  Additionally, she was the Acting Chief Information Security Officer for a Telco subsidiary in the U.S. and was responsible for the establishment of the Information Security division, from the very initial stage of defining the security and compliance requirements to the assimilation of IT security and compliance programs across the firm. She was accountable for IT security policies and procedures, governance and standardization of all security and compliance related IT activities and risk management.

Ariel has sat on the board as a cyber expert for several companies. Her insight into regulation, governance and business connectivity technology allows Ariel to provide expert guidance to the Department of Homeland Security, The Payment Card Industry & other governing bodies that are accountable for reducing risk and ensuring secure financial, medical and personal data. Ariel is the primary author of the PCI Security Council e-commerce guidelines issued in January of 2013.

Ariel has her undergraduate degree in Nuclear Physics and her M.B.A from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

EXECUTIVE PANEL:  Safeguarding the Enterprise Against Escalating Global Cyber Threats

Make no mistake – CISOs and cyber teams are at war against nation-state threat actors and other highly-trained adversaries. The recent SolarWinds cyber-attack is believed to be the most damaging hack of a Western government ever, along with still-to-be-determined impact on more than 425 companies in the Fortune 500 who receive services from SolarWinds. While the long-range impact for companies and government agencies continues to unfold, the attacks underscore how security is more important to organizations than ever. CEOs and Board members will be relying on CISOs and security leaders more than ever to help identify and respond to potential threats and to protect the enterprise and its crown jewels.

In this executive panel, CISOs and security leaders will share their recommendations for working with the CEO and the Board on looming cyber threats, including how best to communicate these risks and articulate where funding is needed most.

EXECUTIVE INTERVIEW: Drawing Upon an FBI Background to Apply Global Cyber Strategy at Deloitte With David Mahon, Global CISO, Deloitte

One certainty that enterprise security leaders have come to understand is this – the threat landscape is truly global, as nation-state actors have become more sophisticated than ever. In order the safeguard the enterprise effectively, CISOs and their teams need to take a global view of the threat landscape along with the practices and tools that can be used to address them.

In this Executive Interview with HMG Strategy President and CEO Hunter Muller, David Mahon, Global CISO at Deloitte, will share the lessons he had learned across his 27-year career with the FBI in protecting Deloitte’s international footprint along with recommendations for developing the talent and culture that’s needed to succeed on a global scale.

3:35PM – 4:00PM

EXECUTIVE PANEL:  Leading and Building a High Performing Culture

As remote work has extended across much of 2020 and into 2021, many CIOs and technology executives have expressed concerns about keeping employees engaged and motivated over the long-term. On top of this, it’s also been challenging to convey a sense of organizational culture both to existing employees and new hires. This panel discussion with top executives will focus on what’s required to cultivate a connected culture into the future – including one that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Sonatype

The Sonatype journey started 10 years ago, just as the concept of “open source” software development was gaining steam. From our humble beginning as core contributors to Apache Maven, to supporting the world’s largest repository of open source components (Central), to distributing the world's most popular repository manager (Nexus), we’ve played a meaningful role in helping the world embrace the power of open innovation. Over time, we witnessed the staggering volume and variety of open source libraries that began flowing into every development environment in the world. We understood that when open source components are properly managed, they provide tremendous energy for accelerating innovation. Conversely, when unmanaged, open-source "gone wild" can lead directly to security vulnerabilities, licensing risks, enormous rework, and waste. Our vision today is simple. We are laser-focused on helping organizations continuously harness all of the good that open source has to offer, without any of the risks.
