  • Robert Mansell
    Principal Technical Fellow
    Catalyte

Rob Mansell, currently CTO at Catalyte, combines backgrounds in Healthcare and Payments with the effectiveness of data driven talent acquisition at Catalyte.

Realizing the myriad of challenges facing payments in healthcare, yet the breadth of opportunity awaiting the innovator, Rob brings a focus from healthcare and payments to Catalyte’s ability to find, train, deploy and mentor diverse, technical, local talent from unusual places for companies to hire with no conversion fee.

Prior to Catalyte Rob was Head of Product Management for Payments & Print at Change Healthcare where he led innovation around new and existing products, and managed effective solution delivery through to the broader healthcare market.

When Change Healthcare needed to replace their four, legacy communication & print systems, Rob led a global evaluation of large Customer Communication Management solutions to select a best fit vendor solution for consolidating the four legacy systems of Change Healthcare.

Before making his move into healthcare processing, Rob spent a combined 20 years in the payments processing industry; from managing the Visa real-time, Debit & Credit global payments system’s product development teams, to managing the product development teams for PayPal’s Payments, Compliance and Money Market solutions globally.

While Rob’s final hoorah at Visa was his team’s reengineering of the global Visa Integrated Payment System to 100% availability, the focus at PayPal was more to develop and deliver many hundreds of new payments products and enhancements on time, with quality each year.

It is challenging in general to create an effective product vision and feel confident of market adoption, making POC’s a must. This is especially true in healthcare and Rob found POC’s effective in trialing a new ‘Event-Based’ patient billing product as an alternative to month-end billing.

As Rob hails from Australia, he finds family memories continue to be made during times of local and international travel, spending time with immediate and extended family. Rob moved to Portland, Oregon, 3 years ago with his wife, a daughter in high school and a son starting his career in IT, so life continues to be busy but interesting.

EXECUTIVE INTERVIEW:  The New Leadership Paradigm: Why Tech Executives Must Shift from a ‘Command-and-Control’ Model to ‘Inspire and Trust’ to Win the Global War for Talent and in the Marketplace

Stephen M. R. Covey, best-selling author interviewed by Hunter Muller, President and CEO, HMG Strategy

The world has changed dramatically since March 2020 and so, too, have organizational cultures. The shift to a work-from-home environment has empowered employees who want to dictate how, when and where they work. Moreover, in a flat screen meeting environment where all participants are viewed as equals, employees don’t want to follow orders – they want to be part of the brain-trust that helps to solve critical business and customer challenges and to influence the strategic trajectory of the company.

In this compelling Executive Interview with HMG Strategy President and CEO Hunter Muller, Stephen M.R. Covey, best-selling author of The Speed of Trust and his forthcoming book Inspire and Trust, shares why a ‘Command-and-Control’ leadership style no longer works and how an ‘Inspire and Trust’ leadership approach can encourage employees to be more collaborative and creative and to maximize their potential. Covey, who is the Co-Founder of CoveyLink and the FranklinCovey Global Speed of Trust practice, also frames “the two epic imperatives of our time” to help guide leaders on creating a thriving culture that can help attract, grow, retain, engage and inspire the best people in the global war for talent and to successfully collaborate and innovate in order for companies to win in the marketplace.

EXECUTIVE PANEL:  Factoring in Vaccination Requirements into the Global War for Talent

Patrick Benoit, VP, Global Cyber Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) / Business Information Security Officer (BISO), CBRE

Martin Leach, SVP Data Services & Informatics, Alloy Therapeutics, Inc.

Robert Mansell, Principal Technical Fellow, Catalyte

The tech skills shortage continues to remain acute. And while the U.S. Supreme Court recently rescinded President Biden’s mandate that all employers with more than 100 workers require them to be vaccinated or be tested for COVID-19 weekly, it's still an uphill battle for employers - including those that have set their own vaccination and testing requirements with employees. Meanwhile, healthcare organizations and companies operating under federal contracts still must abide by President Biden's mandate.  These circumstances are creating challenges for employers who are already understaffed or facing resource constraints within IT or in different areas of the organization.

In this executive panel discussion, top business technology leaders and industry executives will share their recommendations for addressing the technology talent shortage as well as the impact that vaccination requirements are having on CIOs and their IT teams.

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM PT

Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics and the Internet of Things can enable business technology leaders to identify potential use cases and make a meaningful impact on the business. These and other technologies can also help to better safeguard the enterprise against cyber threats and risks. Yet the likelihood for success accelerates when companies have strong partnerships with trusted technology vendors who are able to provide their experience with other clients, expertise and resources to bring these opportunities to fruition.

This panel of executives will share use cases for leveraging advanced technologies and partnership that are enabling competitive differentiation and speed to market.

Ransomware attacks are up a whopping 500% in 2021. Meanwhile, the nature of recent attacks continue to become more widespread as these threats are impacting infrastructure, supply chains and other operations that can impact multiple organizations at once. As these and other types of threats continue to evolve and become more dangerous and complex, it’s clear that CISOs and security leaders need to reimagine their cybersecurity strategies to better safeguard the organization now and into the future.

In this executive panel, CISOs and security leaders will share their recommendations for working with the CEO and the Board on looming cyber threats, including how best to communicate these risks and articulate where funding is needed most. These executives will also share the new skillsets that are needed to protect the enterprise as the threat environment continues to evolve.

Maintaining a connected culture can be difficult to achieve in a work-from-anywhere environment.

In this executive panel discussion, top business technology leaders and industry executives will share their recommendations for fostering a connected culture and how this can help attract, retain and grow the skills that are needed for the organization to execute on its mission.

Back in the day when your users were all on the network and your applications resided in your physical data center, it made sense to establish a secure perimeter around your network. But those days are over, the perimeter is gone, and network security is all but irrelevant. Instead, you need to put your defenses and controls where the connections occur— the internet — so that every connection is fast and secure, no matter how or where users connect or where their applications reside. By moving applications and infrastructure to the cloud and untethering employees from their desks, you can realize tremendous advantages in productivity, agility, and cost containment. With our 100% cloud built secure platform, Zscaler can help you make the move to the cloud, securely.

  • Tonkean

Tonkean is the OS for Business Operations, empowering operations teams to rapidly improve efficiency with an enterprise-grade, composable automation platform. By allowing ops teams to automate, monitor, and manage mission-critical business processes with no-code, while still maintaining compliance and security, Tonkean enables enterprises to accelerate operational velocity at scale. The Tonkean platform makes automating complex business processes simple and accessible to non-developers, such as business operations teams and process owners, by abstracting the high technical barrier and coding expertise needed to deliver robust, enterprise-grade process solutions via composability. Ops teams compose custom process solutions using building blocks called “enterprise components” or ECs. ECs are modular, interchangeable, and reusable capabilities that perform actions or complete steps in a business process. ECs are fully governed and curated, typically by IT. They can be adopted from vendors or custom built, or they can simply be extensions of existing tools and systems. This allows ops and process experts to rapidly build holistic process solutions that can work with different systems, easily adapt to changing needs, and measure cross-functional KPIs–all with no-code and no change management. Enterprises like Google, EVERSANA, Instacart, Grubhub, Crypto.com, and more rely on Tonkean to optimize and align their operations across functions—including sales, marketing, customer support, legal, finance, and more. With Tonkean, enterprises can expand the pie of who can deliver software to make a world of Makers.
