Don Anderson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. In this capacity, he is responsible for the Federal Reserve System's Internet Cyber and Network Security services and Financial Management Technology services, the Bank’s IT function, Real Estate Services, and Law Enforcement units. Don is currently a member of the Bank's Executive Committee.

Michael Curmi is a technology leader with significant global experience across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, leading teams of 1000 people in over 50 countries. Elizabeth Hackenson previously served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Technology and Services at The AES Corporation. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, AES is a Fortune 200 company that generates and distributes electric power in 17 countries.
Ms. Hackenson was s a member of the executive leadership team who is responsible for corporate strategy and allocation of capital. In addition, the office of technology reports to her as well as a number of technology teams such as AES’ energy storage, global information technology and cybersecurity. She is also responsible for AES’ insurance programs, internal audit and is a board member of several AES companies including Dayton Power & Light in Ohio and AES Chivor in Colombia.
Ms. Hackenson is the former senior vice president and CIO at Alcatel-Lucent, where she was responsible for the operations of the company’s information and communications systems and e-business platforms. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent in April of 2006, she held the position of executive vice president and chief information officer for MCI. In this position, she employed innovative approaches to create a business-focused IT organization, and was responsible for the company’s internal systems as well as systems supporting product development.
In 2014, Ms. Hackenson was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame and her team has won numerous IT and cybersecurity awards. In 2005, Computer World named Ms. Hackenson one of its top 100 premier IT leaders. The Washington Post named her one of the top 200 female executives and Information Week ranked the department she led as one of the top 100 for IT leadership. As Year Up continues to expand the number of students they serve, almost 600 students per year in Boston alone, Jim is responsible for building relationships with Boston business’ that have the capacity and desire to host Year Up students and hire Year Up graduates.
Jim is also responsible for managing Year Up’s existing relationship with Partners HealthCare, who historically hosted a dozen interns a year, and has grown that to 23, with mutual commitments to reach 35 interns per year. Partners has hired over 112 Year Up graduates!
Prior to joining Year Up, Jim enjoyed an extensive career in the technology world, with an emphasis on growing sales in early stage companies, but also as CEO of a few start-ups. Jim believes his greatest successes have been driven by careful listening, and understanding the needs of those organizations he’s partnered with. He leads the technology team on all phases of the Red Sox strategy from creating a compelling fan experience to enabling an effective front office and baseball operations environment. Shield was named ‘Georgia CIO of the Year’ in 2005, his work in television was recognized with a Technology ‘Emmy’ Award in 2006, and his leadership and commitment to Georgia’s business-technology community was recognized in 2012 when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA). Stephanie L. Woerner, PhD is a Research Scientist at the Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Established at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1974, MIT CISR conducts evidence-based research that addresses the information-related challenges of business leaders worldwide and provides practical, actionable insights to help them move their companies forward in the digital age.
Stephanie is an expert on how companies use technology and data to create more effective business models and her research centers on how companies manage organizational change caused by the digitization of the economy. She is currently studying 1) business models for the next- generation enterprise and 2) the different digital transformation pathways companies are taking to become future ready. Stephanie has a passion for measuring hard-to-assess digital factors such as connectivity and customer experience, and linking them to firm performance.
Recent articles (with Peter Weill) include “Mobile Customer App Engagement Pays Off,” and “Top IoT Companies Grow Faster but Require All-in Commitment,” both in European Business Review, and "Optimizing Your Digital Business Model," "Thriving in an Increasingly Digital Ecosystem,” and “Is Your Company Ready for a Digital Future?”, all in Sloan Management Review. In 2016, she was a subject matter expert on enterprise digitization for the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Conference. Stephanie is coauthoring with Peter Weill, a book, What’s Your Digital Business Model? Six questions to help you build the next generation enterprise, (Harvard Business Press, forthcoming May 2018). She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
