  • Mamatha Chamarthi
    Head of Software Business and Product Management P&L

    Mamatha Chamarthi was formerly Chief Information Officer, FCA - North America and Asia Pacific effective April 2019. In this position, Chamarthi oversees all information technology applications and infrastructure in support of business units located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Asia Pacific.  

    Previously, Chamarthi was Senior Vice President & Chief Digital Officer for ZF Friedrichshafen AG since 2014. In this position, she was responsible for the Company’s full range of digital strategies and for driving change across the organization, including establishing a global footprint to create a talent ecosystem that will close the technology gap for ZF to be a leader in autonomous driving.

    Chamarthi holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University (2008), a Master of Science in Computer Science & Software Engineering from Oakland University (2003), a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University (2002), a Master of Business Administration from SV University (1995) and a Master of Arts in English from Osmania University (1990).

    Jennifer Charters joined Flagstar Bank in June 2018 as executive vice president and chief information officer. In her new position, she is responsible for providing overall executive leadership and strategic direction for the IT organization, including the successful delivery of technology initiatives and management of IT operations.

    Previously, she was chief information officer, Corporate Technology, at Ally Financial. She is an experienced professional with 24 years of experience in IT financial services and telecommunications.

    She serves as an executive board member of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology.

  • David Decker
    Director IT
    American Axle & Manufacturing

    David is an innovative, results-driven information technology executive with over 30 years of increasing levels of responsibility at three Fortune 500 companies. He is presently the Director of IT at American Axle & Manufacturing for the Driveline Business Unit, and is leading the company’s strategic Industry 4.0 efforts including creating a digital manufacturing platform and migrating plant-floor systems to the Cloud. He previously led the digital transformation effort at Omega Engineering upgrade their obsolete IT systems and infrastructure, building an integrated e-commerce platform and driving sales to the web. Prior to that he was CIO and Vice President of IT at Johnson Controls Automotive, where he was responsible for developing and executing the information technology strategy for the automotive seating business. He spent 21 years in IT at Ford Motor Company, holding a variety of positions including Director of the Global Order to Delivery program, and Senior Manager of Global Manufacturing IT Operations.

    David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Michigan. He also interviews prospective students as part of the University of Michigan College of Engineering admissions process.

    For over ten years David has supported the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, and formerly served on the Board of Directors. He is also a board member of the Epsilon Trustee Corporation at the University of Michigan, and is a member of the Detroit chapter of SIM. David resides in Ann Arbor, and in his spare time enjoys CrossFit and spending time with his family.

  • Daryl Dellinger

    Continental Automotive Systems

    As the Regional Information Officer of Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Daryl Dellinger leads the IT strategy direction and operations within the Americas region, which includes US, Canada, and Mexico. Mr. Dellinger reports directly to Andrew Martin, VP & CFO of Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., North America. Mr. Dellinger also coordinates globally to increase focus on Continental’s technology infrastructure to ensure systems & processes are aligned to meet business targets, reporting directly to Christian Eigler, Corporate CIO, Continental Automotive AG. Prior to this, Mr. Dellinger was the Business Systems Executive Manager responsible for the development, alignment, and deployment of the SAP systems integration for all Continental Automotive Systems business units in North America. Mr. Dellinger began his automotive career with ITT Automotive in 1992 where he was responsible for several positions of increasing responsibility within Logistics and IT Systems. Mr. Dellinger began his professional career with Outboard Marine Corporation in 1985 and held various positions with the company, including Industrial Engineering, Logistics, and IT. A native of North Carolina, Mr. Dellinger graduated from Western Carolina University in 1984 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He is involved in a number of organizations within the Detroit community. He is a member of the Governing Board of Evanta and serves on the OESA CIO Board of Governors, the Society for Information Management (SIM) organization as treasurer and is a member of the AT&T Manufacturing Advisory Council. Mr. Dellinger and his wife, Debra, reside in Lake Orion, MI, and their two children reside in NC.

    Gregg holds an MBA from Michigan State’s Broad School for Executive Management, and a Bachelors of Science in Systems Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

With over 24 years of IT experience, covering, information security as well as incidence response, risk management, compliance, auditing, managed services, certification, business continuity, disaster recovery and Data Center Operations. Russ has initiated sweeping changes and turned around operations by making technology understandable to non-technical personnel throughout all levels of an organization in a variety of industries such as automotive, retail and energy. Strategic planner who insures a company has the necessary security, technology, equipment and controls to meet its business requirements.

  • John Hill
    Chief Digital and Information Officer

    John Hill is the Chief Information Officer and SVP, Planning at Carhartt and is responsible for working with the rest of Carhartt’s senior leadership team to define its technology strategy for the company’s growth objectives. He leads the teams responsible for planning and executing initiatives to meet the company’s technology vision while ensuring that informational systems are available and secure. In addition to his technology responsibilities John is responsible for Carhartt's Planning and Pricing functions.

    Mr. Hill was previously Vice President, Solutions Delivery at W.W. Grainger and was responsible for leading all application development and maintenance for the company. 

    Prior to this Mr. Hill was Chief Information Officer and Vice President, responsible for the transformation of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) for the Province of Ontario, Canada. He was also the head of Business Solutions Services for several of the ministries in the Province.

    Prior to this Mr. Hill was Vice President and Global Head of Informatics Services at Switzerland-based Roche Holding Company. For the first half of his career Mr. Hill has held leadership positions in strategic planning, business development and strategic sourcing at General Motors, Supply Access and IBM.

    Mr. Hill received his Master’s in Administrative Management from Bowie State University, and his Bachelors in Economics from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

    Dennis Hodges is responsible for Inteva's global information and technology requirements and leads the effort to improve business systems and processes worldwide.

    Prior to joining Inteva in 2008, Hodges was Chief Information Officer for Delphi Interiors and Closures. He also served as the Global Business Systems Director at Huntsman Corporation. Hodges began his career at Shell Oil in 1985, and held various IT and Finance positions at several companies, including international assignments for Phillips Petroleum and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. Dennis has international experience through assignments in China and as Controller for a Chemical joint venture in South Korea.

    Hodges earned a master’s in Computer Science from Stephen F Austin State University and a MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.

    Anthony is a Senior Director of Commercial Solutions and Services at Perrigo and is responsible for the identification, implementation and support of commercial solutions globally.

    During his tenure at Perrigo, Anthony has led digital transformation and business disruption through the creation and development of ecommerce, eRetail and marketplace opportunities generating over $100 million in revenue.  Anthony currently leads the commercial technical evolution for Perrigo and provides business strategy consulting to internal partners across 35 countries.

    Perrigo is a leading global healthcare supplier that develops, manufactures and distributes over-the-counter (OTC) and generic prescription pharmaceuticals, infant formulas, nutritional products, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and pharmaceutical and medical diagnostic products.  Perrigo is the world’s largest store brand manufacturer of OTC pharmaceutical products and infant formulas.

    Prior to Perrigo Anthony served as Director of DFS Digital Commerce at Dell and held management and consulting positions in marketing, sales and technology at Bank of America and Wachovia.

Before joining the City of Detroit team, Mike held the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Wright and Filippis.  Other companies where he has held technology and other leadership roles include; Asset Acceptance Capital, Comprehensive Receivables Group — a division of BC/BS WI,  St.  Mary Hospital, and William Beaumont Hospital. He specializes in implementing change and customer service focus within technology groups.

    I am responsible for managing the Global Infrastructure and Operations for Visteon.  Today my team manages approximately 1,400 servers and 9,500 end-user computing devices across 30 locations in 18 countries, regional Private Clouds and a limited footprint in the Public Cloud.

    I have been with VISTEON for over 18 years and during that time I have deployed, supported and decommissioned various technology solutions.  The solutions include mainframe; blades, HPC and  rackmount servers; storage solutions including high-performance, all purpose and archive storage arrays.  Other Technology solutions deployed include Virtualization, Hyper-Converge, Private Cloud, Public Cloud and Software-as-a-Service.

    Also during this time we have migrated from on-premise to IBM manage data center to a Private cloud. Divested multiple Product groups and complete an acquisition.  Additionally, I have managed the transition from various Outsource suppliers.  These providers include IBM, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS & Stefanini.  I have worked with various hardware, software and technology solutions.   Vendors including VMware, EMC, Dell, HP, IBM,  Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, Citrix, Oracle, Nutanix, Commvault & CA.

    Raman Mehta leads all facets of Visteon's global information technology, including designing, developing and implementing global IT platforms and business processes to increase performance and help Visteon leverage technology as a competitive advantage.

    Mehta joined Visteon in April 2017 from Fabrinet, where he was senior vice president and CIO at the global engineering and manufacturing services provider of complex optical and electromechanical components. He previously served as CIO and chief process architect for EWIE Company, a Tier 1 supplier to Ford Motor Co., driving enterprise-wide technology transformation. Before that, he spent more than 13 years at Oracle USA, Inc., where he was a director and advised Fortune 500 clients on business transformation.

    Mehta has earned several leadership awards including CIO magazine's 2013 CIO 100 Award, Computerworld's 2012 Premier 100 IT Leaders Award, and a Crain's Detroit Business CIO award. He has presented at several prominent IT conferences and authored various white papers.

    He has an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical and electronics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.

    Jayanti is the CTO of Digitate for the Americas Region.  In this role he is responsible for working with Digitate customers and prospects to define and realize their AIOPs and Automation journey. He also closely works with the internal teams on product strategy and management.

    An experienced IT leader with nearly two decades of industry experience, Jayanti previously worked as the Global Head of Strategic Accounts for the company’s ignio™ and Cloud Plus™ platforms.

    Over the course of his time with Digitate and its parent company TCS, Jayanti has held a variety of IT leadership roles with a focus on business development, innovation, and technology consulting. His successful tenure leading the TCS IT performance consulting practice for North America included defining a future vision and strategy for the group, and delivering solid growth. He has also led and delivered large, high-profile engagements for customers in the telecom, banking, retail, healthcare, transportation, logistics, and government sectors in markets including the Americas, U.K., Asia-Pacific, and India.  


    Jayanti’s key areas of interest include automation, analytics, high-performance computing, systems architecture and design, modeling, and optimization for large IT systems. He has authored white papers and holds a patent in the areas of performance engineering and capacity planning.


    Jayanti holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from National Institute of Technology, Warangal in India.

    Sajay Rai has more than 30 years of experience in information technology, specializing in information security, business continuity, disaster recovery, privacy, IT audit and information risk.  Mr. Rai is the Founder and CEO of Securely Yours LLC.  Securely Yours LLC is focused on delivering innovative solutions through delivery channels like Software-as-a-Service, Managed Services and traditional IT consulting.   Mr. Rai’s clients are in the financial, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, federal and state agencies and utility industry.

    Prior to starting Securely Yours LLC, Mr. Rai was a Partner with Ernst & Young LLP for 10 years and was responsible for the information advisory practice in the Detroit Metro area.  He also served as the national leader of EY’s Information Security and Business Continuity practices.  Mr. Rai’s clients included General Motors, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Yazaki North America, Tecumseh and Federal Mogul.  He also served as a member of his firm’s Partners Advisory Council.

    Mr. Rai also worked with IBM for 13 years, most recently serving as an executive of the national Business Continuity and Contingency consulting practice.  He was instrumental in starting the company’s Information Security consulting practice and managing its information technology consulting practice in Latin America.

    Mr. Rai co-authored a recently published book, Defending the Digital Frontier – A Security Agenda, which guides business and IT executives on how to develop an effective and efficient information security program within their enterprise.  He also co-authored Institute of Internal Auditors’ publications of “Sawyer’s Internal Audit Handbook 6th Edition” and the publication of IIA’s Global Technology Audit Guide (GTAG) No. 9 on the topic of Identity and Access Management.

    Mr. Rai is a member of IIA’s Professional Issues Committee (PIC).  He also serves on the board of ISACA Detroit Chapter, IIA’s Detroit Chapter, Society Of Information (SIM) Detroit Chapter and as a member of Walsh College’s Accounting Advisory and Technology Committees.  Mr. Rai is a regular speaker at industry conferences on information security, business continuity, disaster recovery, technology strategy and is frequently quoted in magazines and newspapers.  He has also served as expert witness in litigation cases in the area of information security.

    He holds a Master’s degree in Information Management from Washington University of St. Louis, and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Fontbonne College of St. Louis.

John recently retired from his position as Managing Director and Chief Economist for Wells Fargo. Based in Charlotte, N.C., he held that position since he joined Wachovia in 2002 as the company's Chief Economist, this new launch will permit John to open his schedule for additional Speaking opportunities and Board positions while indulging in his passion for travel.

    Prior to Wells Fargo, John worked on Capitol Hill as a senior economist for the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee and as Chief Economist of Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Before that, he was chief economist of Kemper Funds and managing director of Scudder Kemper Investments, Inc. John was awarded a National Association of Business Economics (NABE) Fellow Certificate of Recognition in 2011 for outstanding contributions to the business economics profession and leadership among business economists of the Nation. In 2010, he was recognized for the Best Inflation Forecast, the Best Overall Forecast and the Best Personal Consumption Expenditures Forecast by The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. John was named one of the Top 10 forecasters for the last four years by Bloomberg News in 2009 and the No. 2 forecaster by USA Today for 2008.

    John holds a B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Northeastern University in Boston and has a master's degree in economics from Brown University. John's first book Dynamic Economic Decision Making was published by Wiley in August 2011.

    John serves as a member of the Blue-Chip Panel of Economic Forecasters and serves on an informal advisory group for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He serves as chair for the Economic Advisory Committee of both the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Economic Advisory Roundtable and the American Bankers Association.

    John was formerly a director of NABE and was the former president of the Charlotte Economics Club. He also served on economic advisory committees to the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and the Public Securities Association.

    A strong supporter of education and civic affairs, John served as a member of the Business Advisory Council at the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., and on the President's Council for Charlotte's Central Piedmont Community College. He has previously served as a board member of the British American Business Council of North Carolina and served on the Economic Development Board for the State of North Carolina, a special appointment by the Governor. He also served on the Business Advisory Committee for the City of Charlotte.

    Ford Motor Company

    Rich Strader is Vice President, Mobility Platforms and Products, Ford Motor Company. In this role, Strader oversees Ford Mobility’s product solutions group, which is responsible for leading the design and development of the technology underpinning Ford’s mobility business. That includes development related to connectivity, the FordPass platform, vehicle management as a service, and transportation as a service.

    Since joining Ford in 1992, Strader has held a number of information technology positions. He served as Ford’s director of Enterprise and Emerging IT, where he was responsible for a portfolio that included Innovation, Connected Vehicle, Connected Consumer, Autonomous Vehicle, Mobility Solutions, and Data Insight & Analytics.

    Additionally, Strader served as the head of Ford’s Technology Services India centre in Chennai, India, where he oversaw application development, shared services and program delivery within the Asia Pacific region. He was also chief information officer for Volvo Car Corporation, with responsibility for overall IT operations, including infrastructure, operations, maintenance, new development, new ventures (divestitures and acquisitions) and associated financial and personnel activities.

    As manager of In-Vehicle Systems, Strader launched the SYNC Service Delivery Network and all the IT infrastructure used to support the first two generations of the software platform.

    Prior to joining Ford, Strader was the president of Applied Processing Systems, Inc. He also held software programming positions at other outside businesses.

    Strader earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan.
