    Colleen Berube is a Digital and Business Model Transformation Leader who assists companies in navigating the changing technology landscape and its implications for the market as well as inside the enterprise.  She has nearly two decades of experience in IT leadership, strategy, IT innovation, enterprise software and business consultation.  Colleen is known for her ability to successfully navigate complex business transitions, to elevate and leverage IT as a differentiator, and to build amazing teams that surpass expectations. 

    Colleen was previously an Executive in Residence with PwC where she works on various commercial and internal initiatives providing ‘the voice of the client.’  Prior to PwC, Colleen was Vice President of IT for Adobe Systems, where she was responsible for all business systems, e-commerce and information management.  She was responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of the Adobe’s large-scale transformation to the Subscription Economy. She led a global engineering organization that is redefined IT’s role as a SaaS enabler driving key changes including the move from Data to Digital, from Product to Customer focus, from Orders to Subscriptions, in delivering Agility for Product Engineering. She has also held executive level IT roles at Cisco Systems, Palm and SAP.

    She is a Board Director for The Institute for Human and Social Development (IHSD), a non-profit organization providing early childhood education and services to the high need pre-school children and their families.  She is also a member of the Nominating Committee for the Anita Borg Institute Technical Leadership Award and an active member of the Athena Alliance supporting women impacting at the highest levels of leadership. She holds a BA from State University at Potsdam, NY, and a MBA is from the University of North Florida.

     

  • Nellson Burns

    Nellson Burns moved to Dallas in 2007 from Houston to become Holly Corporation’s Vice President of Information Technology.  Holly Corporation is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer producing high-value products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel as well as specialty lubricants, oil and waxes.  Holly has major refinery operations New Mexico, Utah and Oklahoma that drive revenues above 8 billion dollars per year.  Nellson, a rising star in the Metroplex IT community, was recruited by Holly for this role at the age of 32.  Nellson helped complete the successful implementation of a comprehensive SAP software suite in 2007.  When Holly acquired two significant refineries within seven months in 2009 and doubled its refining capacity, Nellson successfully spearheaded the rapid business and technology integration efforts, including integrating the new refineries into SAP with a 4 week period.  He will get the chance to leverage these integration skills again, as Holly plans to merge with Frontier Oil Corporation in the early 3rdquarter this year.  Prior to joining Holly, Nellson was with Ernst & Young’s, then CapGemini’s, Oil & Gas SAP practice for nine years, were he “refined” his IT leadership skills.  Nellson serves as a member of the SIM DFW Chapter Board, and is the chairman of the global advisory council for SAP’s for Oil & Gas sector.  He is also on the advisory board for the Terry Foundation, the state’s largest private source of full academic scholarships.

In addition to Chief Information Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and their key leaders, he also recruits cybersecurity consultants for leading professional services firms as well as top executives for cybersecurity technology companies and managed security services providers. He is based in the Firm’s Dallas office.

    Prior to Korn Ferry, Mr. Cummings served as an associate principal in the industrial, supply chain, and transportation & logistics practices of another leading executive search firm, where he executed senior executive search assignments for both public and private equity-backed companies. He also served clients in the consumer & retail, technology, government & defense, biotechnology, and education sectors.

    Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Cummings was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas, where he worked on a wide variety of projects with clients in the aerospace & defense, consumer finance, telecommunications, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education industries.
    Earlier in his career, he served nine years with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Navy's SEAL teams.

(July 2014 to Present) Chairman & CEO – (www.zeteky.com) - Through its investment vehicle, Resurgent Energy, llc, Mr. Dalton and other key investors made a strategic investment during July of 2014 in iThinQware, Inc., subsequently CloseWatch Technologies, Inc., and today Zeteky, Inc. 

    Zeteky has enjoyed substantial success in developing and deploying its products and services in law enforcement, schools, the U.S. Army and in the private sector. Zeteky’s product lines give Voice to the often-quoted phase “See Something – Say Something”. 

    The Company’s dynamic App for law enforcement gathers information from the public and transmits it to the CloseWatch dashboard. This enables law-enforcement clients to manage tips received ranging from terroristic threats, to human trafficking, and to everyday criminal activities. 

    The App and Dashboard provides on-the-fly translation capabilities in 108 languages coupled with state-of-the-art, military-grade geospatial location capabilities. 

    The Company’s App has applications in schools throughout the country helping school staff and administrators receive critical information concerning weapons, drug activity and other serious issues while allowing information on bullying and other inappropriate behavior to flow to the proper individuals. 

    The school App in use in North Carolina has aided in the referral of numerous teen suicides cases to the Teen Suicide Prevention Hotline . It has also been primarily responsible for the arrest, conviction and incarceration of a teacher/pedophile involved with a minor aged student.

    Zeteky’s customized apps has been effectively used in the United State Army Materiel Command for base security and supply management. The Company has developed FirstHand, a safety observations and incident reporting app which is used in the energy industry.

    Dalton Creations, L.L.C. (1999-2012) Managing Partner of a privately held entity, (www.daltoncreations.com) involved in locating and funding public and private investment opportunities as well as providing executive leadership to companies where he held ownership interest. Dalton Creations also partnered with Capital Alliance from 2001to 2011 performing investment banking services to clients selling their companies. At Dalton Creations, Mr. Dalton led the hostile take-over of Calypso Wireless, (Nasdaq CLYW) a company that developed key aspects of today’s wireless mobile convergent capabilities. 

    WorldPort Communications, Inc. (1990-1999)

    Mr. Dalton was President and Chief Executive Officer of WorldPort Communications, Inc. (“WorldPort”) an international communications company involved in trans-Atlantic fiber-ownership, domestic and international switching operations, operator services and technology based communications solutions for the international tele-communications industry.  Mr. Dalton was responsible for WorldPort’s technology strategy enabling international call re-origination from low-cost countries to high-cost countries around the globe.  As co-founder of WorldPort, Mr. Dalton participated in raising $250 million in capital, and led the development and implementation of the company’s business strategies. During his tenure WorldPort created $350 million in market capitalization (Nasdaq-WRDP) for the stockholders of the company.  WorldPort was sold in a private transaction to Energsis of London, England during 1999 for $570M. 

    From 1976 to 1990, Mr. Dalton was sole owner of a successful permanent and temporary employment company in Houston, Texas (sold 1990).  Mr. Dalton served as Internal Audit Director for Anderson Clayton (Quaker Oats/Seven Seas Foods) from 1969-1971, Controller/Associate Publisher of World Tennis Magazine from 1971-1973 and served as Controller for Buttes Gas & Oil a domestic oil and gas company and as International Controller for its subsidiary - Progress Drilling & Marine, Inc., a sixty-rig international drilling operation.     John G. Iannarelli recently retired from the FBI after more than 20 years of service, during which he was a member of the SWAT Team and participated in the investigations of the Oklahoma City Bombing, the 9/11 attack, and the Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords shooting.  John previously served at FBI Headquarters as their national spokesperson and on the Cyber Division Executive staff.  In Phoenix, John was the Cyber squad supervisor before promotion to Assistant Special Agent in Charge, the number two position overseeing all Criminal, Cyber, and Counter Intelligence investigations throughout Arizona.  John has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Computer Science for his contributions to the field of cyber investigations.

    John is the author of several other books, to include Why Teens Fail and What to Fix, a parents’ guide to protecting their children from Internet predators and other dangers, and Information Governance Security, how businesses can protect their sensitive data from loss or compromise.  His recently released How to Stop A Terrorist, is a guide for the average person to recognize and help prevent terrorism. John is a highly sought after speaker and has presented to Fortune 500 companies, domestic and international audiences, the United Nations, and the Vatican where he met personally with Pope Francis to discuss the evolution of cyber crime.

    A former San Diego Police Officer and a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, to include studies of international criminal and civil law at Oxford, England, John is also an attorney admitted to the practice of law in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is currently a private consultant, whose clients have included the both the FBI and a national professional sports league.

    Prior to KER Partners, Steve was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Dallas office and a key member of the firm’s global Information Technology Officers Practice.  He was also a Principal at Spencer Stuart and an Executive Director at Russell Reynolds Associates previously. He also served as president of a Dallas-based retained executive search boutique specializing in recruiting IT executive leaders and CIOs.

    Prior to entering executive search, Steve spent six years with EDS Corporation, performing both technical and professional recruiting, as well as providing recruitment training and counsel on employment-related issues.  He began his career as a district manager with PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay, where he was responsible for sales management and operations.

    Steve is an active speaker and panelist at key industry forums on topics including executive IT leadership development, career management and succession planning.  He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and the Society for Information Management (SIM).

    Andrew Macaulay is responsible for the development of all technology solutions that enhance the guest experience. He leads the activation of next-generation Topgolf games while streamlining back-office operations.

    Prior to Topgolf, he served as CIO at WesTower Communications, a leader in the cell tower construction and maintenance business. He is also the former CIO at Clearwire Communications, the company that built the first-ever 4G wireless network in the U.S. There, he transformed the cost, quality, engagement and output of the IT Department.

    He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and operations research from the University of Leeds in England and a MBA from Baylor University in Texas.

    Andrew is from the U.K. near Watford, the home of the first Topgolf location. Today, Andrew and his wife reside in Dallas. They have three sons who generate an inconceivable amount of academic, music, acting, singing and sports activities. When any spare time remains, Andrew loves to play golf.

    Russ is the Executive Director for NPower Texas, a nonprofit whose mission is to create pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for young adults, military veterans and veterans’ spouses.  He is responsible for leading the program direction and strategic growth agenda for impact and expansion throughout Texas. This includes engaging and collaborating with Federal, State, Veterans Support Organizations, communities and businesses to support, guide and train veterans and their spouses for careers in technology. 

    NPower has impacted over 4,000 young adults, and 1,200 Veterans and Veterans Spouses. Recently, the Governor of Texas cited NPower with a Proclamation for its dedicated Apprenticeship and Workforce efforts.  In January of 2019, Russ was recognized by D CEO as the Outstanding Technology Advocate at the CIO/CTO Awards.

    Russ is a seasoned professional with decades of leadership experience in building and growing technology companies. He has contributed in a variety of roles with startup and fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining NPower, Russ led the development and deployment of 5 technology solutions across a global logistics and mobility company.  These new industry leading mobility solutions were responsible for winning new contracts totaling over $200M with customers such as Microsoft, Comcast, Nike, Amazon, Google,  and several NFL Teams. 

    As an entrepreneur, Russ raised $19.9M to fund a startup that built a nationwide broadband network for Northpoint Communications, a former Verizon company. Subsequently, in 2000, the Wall Street Journal recognized the company as Startup of the Year.

    In the US Army, Russ was selected by US Special Operations Command to be the career manager for approximately 9.990 officers.  As a Project Manager for Advanced Systems and Research and Development for USSOCOM, Russ launched the initial phase of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and ruggedized deployable media production and communications vehicle. 

    Russ is an advocate for other non-profits such as the American Legion, 22Kill, USO, Women Veterans in Technology, SIM, PMI, AUSA, ESGR, Allies in Service, CitySquare, and the United Way.  He is focused on helping veterans and their spouses successfully transition into new civilian careers.

    Russ Medina served as both as an enlisted soldier and officer.  He served as an Infantry Commander and he is a qualified Airborne Ranger. He received his commission from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.  Russ and his wife Lorie live in Frisco, TX, and have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

    As Vice President of Global Security for Herbalife, Jana Monroe is responsible for all security functions throughout the company, including Executive Protection, Physical and Cybersecurity, Employee, Facility, and Property security, Investigations, Safety, Business Continuity and Crisis Response.

    Jana joined Herbalife from the multi-billion dollar electric utility company, Southern California Edison Company (SCE), where she was the Chief Security Officer charged with transforming security services for SCE, a major part of the key national infrastructure.  Business Resiliency was her responsibility, including the creation and management of SCE’s Emergency Operation’s Center; Threat Management Program; Information Asset Security; Intelligence and Risk Analysis; Investigations; and Executive Protection. Jana also assumed a leadership role in developing external partnerships with federal, state, and local law enforcement, in addition to forging public/private alliances with security entities in all facets of private industry. 

    Before entering the corporate arena, Jana had a distinguished 22-year career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She held a variety of field investigative and operational roles across the U.S., including five plus years as a “Criminal Profiler” at Quantico, VA. Her career culminated with Jana pioneering as one of few women in the FBI Executive Leadership ranks. She served as Special Agent in Charge (SAC) in Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California, two of the largest FBI field offices in the U.S.; and was the first Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Division, based in Washington D.C.;  

    Jana’s awards and recognition include Security 500 Organization (and magazine) 2012 award as One of Five Most Influential Chief Security Officers (CSO) in the United States; inclusion on Information Security magazine’s list of top ten Cybersecurity Leaders in the United States; and YWCA Top Ten Women of the Year.

    James L. Turgal, Jr, was formerly Executive Assistant Director (EAD), Information and Technology Branch, entered on duty in March 1996 and was assigned to the Houston Division, working Organized Crime and Drug investigations.  Upon being promoted as a Supervisory Special Agent, he was assigned to FBI Headquarters, Office of General Counsel and the Counterterrorism Division, as the senior counsel for Domestic Terrorism Operations.
     

    In 2002, Jim was assigned to the Cincinnati Division as Chief Division Counsel, Media Spokesperson, and Supervisory Special Agent.  Four years later, he returned to FBI Headquarters to lead the Director’s Research Group. He later became the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Administration at the Washington Field office. 

    In 2010, Jim was selected to serve as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Director, providing counsel on various national security, criminal, and administrative issues affecting the FBI.  One year later, he was designated Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Division, where he oversaw several high profile cases, including the shooting of U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.  In 2012, Jim returned to FBI Headquarters, as the Deputy Assistant Director of the Human Resources Division (HRD).

    In August 2013, Director Robert S. Mueller, III appointed Jim as the Assistant Director (AD) of the HRD.  During this time, he served as the AD and Human Resource Officer.

    On February 10, 2016, Director James B. Comey, Jr. announced the appointment of James L. Turgal, Jr., as the EAD of the Information and Technology Branch.

    Jim is also a FBI certified pilot.

Peter is a Co-Founder of the American College of e-Neutrals and a Board Member and Fellow of the Academy of Court Appointed Masters. The Judges in the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania appointed Peter to the E-Discovery Special Master Panel. He also serves as a court ordered Mediator in eDiscovery & ESI, Internet, eCommerce, intellectual property, and computer technology litigation. For more than 30 years Peter has served as an Arbitrator for technology disputes and serves on the Board of Directors and is a TechList Member of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center.

    Peter has also devoted a substantial amount of time and energy serving government agencies and non-profit organizations by addressing their computer, Social Media, and Internet issues. Peter served as Founding Chair for 12 years of the TEXAS SUPREME COURT Judicial Committee on Information Technology whose mission is to put Internet on the desktops of all 3,200 judges in Texas and implement state eFiling (txcourts.gov/jcit).

    In 1994 Peter was President of the DALLAS BAR ASSOCIATION and also served on the Board of Directors of the STATE BAR OF TEXAS, where he served as Founding Chair of the Computer & Technology Section. Peter teaches courses on eDiscovery and the Law of eCommerce as an Adjunct Professor at the SMU DEDMAN LAW SCHOOL, and is on the founding Board of Advisors of the SMU Computer Law Review and Technology Journal.

    The STATE BAR OF TEXAS gave Peter the Gene Cavin Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education in 2013, and a Lifetime Achievement Award for Promoting Technology in the Law in 2004. In addition, Peter is regularly recognized as one of America’s Leading Business Lawyers in CHAMBERS, a Best Lawyer in America, a Top Lawyer in Dallas, and a Texas Super Lawyer.
