Courageous Leadership and Fearless Reinvention: Guiding the Modern Enterprise in Turbulent Times

As the global health crisis continues, CIOs and technology executives are facing some tough challenges. These include identifying fresh ways to keep employees engaged and motivated in the prolonged remote work environment, supplying the CEO and the executive team with new ways to grow the business and execute on new business models while fostering a culture of connectedness in an isolated setting.

In this Digital Summit, world-class technology executives will share their advice on leading courageously to enable innovation and reshape the business while providing authentic and compassionate leadership that can offer the team confidence, hope and inspiration for a brighter future.

“If I were to choose one group to collaborate with, one conference that I could go to in a year, it would be an HMG Strategy Executive Leadership Summit. The content is rich, the insights are useful, and the connections are amazing.”

  • Stefanie Causey
Associate Partner, Salesforce Innovation Unit - Financial Services Sector
    IBM Global Business Services

At her best at the intersection of business strategy development, operational execution, and technology transformation, she has spent two decades helping business leaders envision the art of the possible with technology strategy and driving cultural change with highly technical resources that struggle to understand the language, let alone user stories and requirements.  She has a knack for bringing focus and drive to chaos and just simply building organizations that get s**t done and done right.

She has held leadership positions in a variety of industries from financial services to software organizations and played a variety of roles from being the fixer to most recently building a multi-national organization that drove a technology and culture transformation that replaced a burning enterprise on premise platform with an integrated suite of best-of-breed cloud enterprise applications in less than seven months.  She joined the cloud journey early by taking a practice lead role at an early system implementer adopter and had never looked back.  Her years of experience driving solution architecture in back office solutions across all sizes of organizations has led to her being a highly sought-after leader and speaker, and she relishes the opportunity to share her story as a way to help others avoid the learning opportunities she faced as an early entrant to the cloud space.

Stefanie joined IBM as an Associate Partner in their Salesforce Innovation Unit, focused on the Financial Services Sector in 2020, to be a part of IBM’s platinum partnership with Salesforce.  She is bringing her strategic business mind to the largest banks in North America, helping drive Digital Customer and Employee Experience transformation without ever losing sight of the humanness perspective that is innate in any journey embarked upon by people that interact with technology.  And man is she having FUN while she’s doing it with some incredibly smart thought-leaders and crazy bleeding edge technology too!

Our world is entering the "GeoTech Decade" where companies and individuals have gained access to both technological and advanced data capabilities that previously were only available to the national security apparatuses of large nation states thirty to forty years ago. Companies both big and small face nation-state backed digital disruptions to include increasingly complicated tech-meets-geopolitical landscapes, trade wars, the impacts of COVID-19 and a slow global recovery, the challenges of bot-driven misinformation that increasingly polarizes societies, as well as the risk of international tensions becoming more heated and kinetic. Yet, in every crisis there are also opportunities. Join us for a discussion on how to survive and thrive in these turbulent times.

The speed at which business is conducted continues to accelerate. CEOs and LOB leaders need to quickly identify and act on shifting market conditions, changing customer behaviors and fresh customer feedback to keep their products and services relevant and to devise innovative go-to-market strategies. CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and other technology executives will increasingly be focused on delivering insights, metrics and dashboards to the CEO and members of the executive team to help accelerate data-driven decision making, keep pace with the speed of business, and sometimes find hidden strategic gems that identify the next Alexa. • Sonatype

The Sonatype journey started 10 years ago, just as the concept of “open source” software development was gaining steam. From our humble beginning as core contributors to Apache Maven, to supporting the world’s largest repository of open source components (Central), to distributing the world's most popular repository manager (Nexus), we’ve played a meaningful role in helping the world embrace the power of open innovation. Over time, we witnessed the staggering volume and variety of open source libraries that began flowing into every development environment in the world. We understood that when open source components are properly managed, they provide tremendous energy for accelerating innovation. Conversely, when unmanaged, open-source "gone wild" can lead directly to security vulnerabilities, licensing risks, enormous rework, and waste. Our vision today is simple. We are laser-focused on helping organizations continuously harness all of the good that open source has to offer, without any of the risks.
