His passion for emotional intelligence, IT governance, and extensive engineering, security and project management backgrounds, has earned him numerous career accolades. Also, he holds several IT certifications inclusive of ITIL, CISSP, and CISM.
In his 11 years as CIO | CISO, functioning as a technologist and servant-leader, he is a wholehearted believer in transformative IT. He has successfully led cross-functional team initiatives to implement key principles of service and process design in ITIL, COBIT, NIST, and others. Andre has managed numerous technology projects that have measurably improved the infrastructure of a 100 million+, multi-unit business. He strongly emphasizes the immense benefits of confidentiality, integrity, and availability to a security-aware business using a defense-in-depth strategy. He promotes the necessity of businesses to operate their relationship with IT strategically, operationally, and tactically while following a risk-based approach to deliver value in IT services that are both secure and guaranteed.
Andre has presented as Speaker, Subject Matter Expert, and Panelist at several Technology events. Adding to his accomplishments, Andre and his developing security team were finalists for SC Magazine’s 2016 Award – Best Security Team, a milestone accomplishment.
Andre recognizes information security, disruptive technologies, and their impact on people. He attributes much of his successes leading organizations to his ability always to understand the ever-present “Why” that exists in the intimate marriage between people and their adoption of technology and any risks or constraints that may exist that experience, whether from a process or security scope.
Andre is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook & of an Executive Development Program at Goodwill Industries International (GII), where only a select group of individuals, hand-selected from international Goodwill organizations, are trained to be future CEOs through targeted MBA coursework. He is currently completing his Masters in Information Technology and Cybersecurity, as part of a PH.D. in Cybersecurity track.
