Anthony Williams is the Chief Information Officer of the Information Technology Department at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
Anthony joined Lenoir-Rhyne University, in February 2018. Previously, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, in Los Angeles, California. Anthony has 20 years of experience working in information technology, academic technology, higher education and in corporate environments.
Under his leadership at the Lenoir-Rhyne University, he participated in Information Technology shared governance and partnered with other divisions to achieve campus-wide goals, as well as developing paperless workflows for academic and business office processes, initiating site licenses for campus software, participating in the launch of the office of online learning, and identifying resources to make technology resources and services sustainable. In addition, Anthony serves on the University’s President Cabinet.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Information Systems and Technology with a concentrate in Cybersecurity and Networking from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California
