Bob Kress is the Managing Director of Global IT Audit in Accenture’s Internal Audit organization that supports the $32 billion company and its 375,000 employees working in 120 countries.  Bob has responsibility for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on the full range of client facing and internal technology, financial, and operational risk to Accenture senior leadership and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. 

Prior to this Bob was the COO in Accenture’s high performance Internal IT organization responsible for leading the IT transformation and running IT like a business, including Strategy, Planning, Risk, and all IT operations.

He has published two books, Running IT like a Business, and  IT Governance to Drive High Performance: Lessons from Accenture.  He has most recently published an article on Transforming the IT Audit Function – Taking the Digital Journey.

Bob is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, The Executives Club of Chicago and co-chair of the Technology Committee, Chairman of i.c.stars (non-profit) Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at The University of Iowa. 

Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Iowa.
