Mr. Gaulke is an executive information technologist with an extensive track record of success in planning/executing strategic technology initiatives for leading service organizations. Currently VP of Information Technology for PDC Energy, a position he has held since August 2009, Mr. Gaulke is a visionary with substantial expertise in information technology strategy and effectiveness leading initiatives contributing to top line growth. AT PDC, Mr. Gaulke is responsible for business transformation (redesigning how field information is brought back into HQ for immediate processing) and how data is analyzed for ground breaking improvements (bringing Business Intelligence to a field historically relying on spreadsheet analysis). Prior to joining PDC, he previously served for ten years as VP Systems – Chief Information Officer for Nordstrom Bank, a wholly owned banking subsidiary of a national department store chain where he was responsible for information security as well as all credit and banking systems. At Nordstrom Bank, Jim developed customer business intelligence systems that supported Nordstrom Rewards, a program that increased incremental sales 37%. Mr. Gaulke was also responsible for an industry leading decoupled debit card allowing consumers to carry a Nordstrom cobranded debit card that worked against any back end banking system. Prior to Nordstrom Bank, Mr. Gaulke worked for twelve years with General Electric Capital Corporation in various roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Gaulke brings over twenty years of experience in planning, developing and executing all facets of strategic technology initiatives with a demonstrated talent for leveraging organizational resources – people, technology, capital, strategic partners – resulting in unprecedented performance gains, improved efficiencies and increased bottom line performance. Mr. Gaulke is an Advisory Board member for several start-ups in the Denver area, and participates in the Industry Council for a leading energy software provider. Mr. Gaulke holds an MBA in Finance from Kennesaw University in Georgia, and a BS in Mathematics from Iona College in New York.
