Khalid is a thought leader with experience helping technology leaders thrive. Khalid has served as a
trusted advisor and strategic thinker to Fortune 500 clients. He has a track record of leading high-performing teams and consulting delivery in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Khalid’s research has
been widely quoted in the press and media outlets, such as Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, The Boston
Globe, and CIO Magazine.
Khalid currently serves as the Research Director for the US CIO Program. In this role, he is focuses
on defining and developing through leadership and insights for CIOs . Khalid is responsible for
organizing and driving research initiatives – including surveys, client workshops, executive interviews,
and polls – and supporting client engagements as required. Khalid works closely with other Deloitte
thought leaders and innovation centers to coordinate and drive the CIO research agenda. He is also
responsible for featuring Deloitte’s research in publications, keynotes, and partnerships, to highlight
key issues for technology leaders globally.
Before joining Deloitte, Khalid ran the CIO Research at Forrester. In this role, he was responsible for
managing a global team of high-performing analysts and delivering high impact research. He also led
strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities inside and outside of Forrester. Khalid also
regularly advised clients on future trends and delivered keynotes at technology conferences globally.
Khalid regularly volunteers and previously served as the vice president of training for a nonprofit
youth group and chair of its annual event. He is an avid squash player, dormant long distance runner,
and conversant in four languages.
