Latson Li is the Senior Vice President and Chief Architect for Community Bank Technology (CBT). He has 36 years of experience in the Financial Industry working in Information Technology. He has spoken at several conferences principally on Retail Banking and Middleware Technology. He is a member of the Wells Fargo Architectural Council as well as the Innovation and Mobility Council.
Latson leads the strategy and technology direction for all Retail Banking channels including the ATM, POS, Banking Stores, Contact Center, Online and Mobile Banking/Alerts in addition to enterprise capability and products. His team goal is to ensure alignment of systems solutions to business and technical strategies and to create cost effective, secure and highly reliable applications that can respond to our ever changing customer, business and market needs (Mobility, Cloud, Data-to-Insight and Social Media).
Latson joined the “legacy” Wells Fargo Bank in 1983. He was instrumental in deploying the first 24/7 mission critical ATM/POS in 1985. He played key integration roles in all major mergers since 1986 including Crocker Bank, First Interstate, Northwest and Wachovia and was responsible for architecting many innovative products and services. His team is currently focusing on mobility, IoT and Omni channel evolution to always go where the customer goes and deploy solutions that matter to the company.
Latson was originally from Hong Kong and has lived in the Bay Area since 1976 with his family. He and his wife Teresa have two grown daughters. Outside of work, Latson and his wife spends time playing tennis and golf.
