Marcus Joachim

Supervisory Special Agent - FBI

Marcus Joachim is a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) currently assigned to the Office of Private Sector (OPS) at FBI Headquarters. SSA Joachim works closely across all levels of government and with the private sector to facilitate collaboration, information sharing and to reduce the risk to the nation’s critical infrastructure.

SSA Joachim entered the FBI in 2008. SSA Joachim was assigned to the Los Angeles Field Office (LAFO) Counter-Espionage Squad, investigating mishandling of classified information, theft of trade secrets and espionage. During that time, SSA Joachim worked several high profile national security investigations. SSA Joachim also served as one of two Crisis Negotiation Team Leaders, where he served as lead negotiator for several international kidnapping investigations.

Prior to joining the FBI as a Special Agent, SSA Joachim worked for the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice. SSA Joachim graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with a B.A. in Communications and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
