Ratna Subrahmanyam is a global executive information technology leader with 20+ years of leadership experience providing vision and technology strategy in partnership with the C-Suite to transform organizations to innovate and grow. Ratna’s career experience spans a variety of executive leadership roles across a range of technology domains, across multiple industries (Financial Services, Manufacturing, Power / Renewable Energy, and Corporate). Ratna is passionate about organization culture, driving change at scale, cultivating and leading high-performing teams and executing business driven, large scale technology transformations. Ratna has lived and worked across Asia, Europe and North America.
In her current role at General Electric’s Corporate group, Ratna serves as VP of Account Management, providing advisory services to CIOs and CTOs of four distinct GE businesses to drive a $200MM global portfolio of core infrastructure and cyber related products to modernize, address business challenges. The Coretech and Cyber group manages technology for ~4000+ sites across 122 countries providing end to end infrastructure products and solutions, including cloud, Saas, digital workplace, network, cyber/identity/security tools, global IT service delivery.
Previously, Ratna led the global orchestration of GE’s largest ($14b) global acquisition integration of Alstom into GE Power, a $30B global business covering all aspects of information technology, from due diligence, integration strategy and execution of a global program plan that delivered an accelerated $200MM synergy program. Prior to that, Ratna served as VP of GE Treasury’s front, middle and back office technologies aligned to the Chief Operations, Investment and Finance Officers. In this role, Ratna managed enterprise wide platforms and global teams focused on development and operations of a portfolio of $500B of debt and equity, and $157B in cash in a regulated environment. Prior to joining GE Treasury, Ratna has held roles of increasing importance leading Financial Technologies of a $30B Commercial Financial Services organization, Data and Analytics for a $5.5B enterprise and Lean - Six Sigma initiatives focused on continuous improvement of business processes and maximization of value to customer.
Ratna completed her Undergraduate and Masters degrees at Bentley University in Massachusetts and lives in Connecticut with her family. She serves on multiple local boards.
