Rob Barocas is a Sr. Director and Head of Cloud ERP Engineering with GE Corporate based in Norwalk CT. He is responsible for leading the Digital Technology engineering and deployment organization to help GE reach the pinnacle capability offered by SaaS ERP supported by a modern IaaS/PaaS product-based ecosystem to increase value-chain productivity and grow market share globally in the digital industrial, additive manufacturing, renewable energy & venture capital businesses globally.
Previously, Rob was VP Global Finance Transformation Manager at AXA XL Group in Stamford, CT. where he was responsible for their strategic transformation to standardize system integrations and implement a cohesive finance/regulatory solution architecture to accelerate close, reduce adjustments/recons and streamline regulatory reporting using governed information.
Prior, Rob worked predominantly in Financial Services and for 20 years with JP Morgan Chase in NYC as VP of IT within Corporate and Wholesale/Retail Banking businesses leading and implementing global strategic transformational growth oriented and cost-out change initiatives.
Rob has a BS in Math and Computer Science from SUNY Binghamton and MBA in Finance and Banking from Fordham University Graduate School of Business. Rob serves on the board of directors for the Society of Information Management as VP of Arrangements for the Fairfield-Westchester Chapter, is an Industry Advisory Board member for the School of Engineering at the University of Bridgeport CT and is on the Board of directors for the Water Pollution Control Authority serving the City of Stamford CT where he resides.
