Sovan Shatpathy is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for Navy
Federal Credit Union where he leads the award-winning Information Services Department
in further improving the credit union’s digital member and employee experiences.
With more than 20 years of technology management experience, Sovan has worked for
multiple Fortune 500 corporations across diverse industries. He has an established track
record for transforming technology organizations, processes and systems, to align with
strategic business objectives and maximize value of investments.
Prior to Navy Federal, Sovan served as the CTO for Amtrak where he was responsible
for all technology services across the Customer and Revenue ecosystem. He also led the
strategy, architecture, platforms, analytics and information management groups. Before
Amtrak, he spent a decade at Cisco where he played different executive leadership roles
spanning across Cisco IT, Cisco Services and Consumer business units.
Sovan has also worked in senior leadership roles in other leading organizations including
Fujitsu, Cognizant, 3M and Oracle among others. He holds a bachelor’s degree in
Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and a master’s
degree specializing in Management Information Systems from Symbiosis International
University.
