There is a long history of cooperation and partnership between government and business in the United States. From my perspective, this unique relationship has been a strong pillar of our nation’s incredible success as a player on the world stage for more than two centuries.

The war on cyber crime clearly demonstrates the need for close cooperation and collaboration between our leading business technology executives and the top echelons of government. By working together, we can provide the essential leadership and guidance necessary for a new round of innovation and invention in the critical effort to fight back against cyber criminals and their organizations.

I urge you to attend the upcoming HMG Strategy 2019 Washington, D.C. CISO Executive Leadership Summit on Sept. 19, 2019, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. The CISO Executive Leadership Summit also includes eight world-class experts from key Federal Agencies, the federal legislative branch and state leadership that are essential in the war on cybercrime.

At the summit, you will have the unique opportunity to meet and network with some of our nation’s top government officials and leading cyber warriors. We are extremely fortunate to have Sally Kenyon Grant on our roster of world-class speakers and presenters. Grant will be interviewed on the topic of Strengthening Cybersecurity Leadership in our Nation's Capital by Mignona Cote, Senior Practices Leader at AWS.

Grant makes a powerful case in favor of private sector technology executives becoming more actively involved in supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives with the ongoing war against global cybercrime.

“All of us in cybersecurity leadership roles are responsible for fighting against cyber attackers and cyber criminals to protect our Nation’s critical infrastructure defense assets,” says Grant, whose career in government relations spans 25 years and includes working in two White House Administrations and on Capitol Hill. “As tech leaders, we have the knowledge and expertise to help our nation become safer and more secure, and we need to be involved at the Federal level. A strong working relationship between business and government is absolutely essential to our nation’s freedom and security.”

Grant is a prominent role model for a generation of technology leaders whose work successfully straddles business and government. She is currently Vice President at Semantic-AI, an enterprise intelligence platform for government agencies and businesses pioneering advanced data analysis with facial recognition, translation, sentiment and resilient cybersecurity systems for powerful solutions delivery.

I am incredibly impressed by Grant’s deep expertise and extensive knowledge of the cyber landscape. I’m also energized by her clear call to action: As technology leaders, we all need to become more fully involved in the global war against cybercrime and cyber terrorism.

Grant’s message is important and highly relevant. In addition to Grant and Cote, the upcoming CISO Executive Leadership Summit features an all-star lineup of industry leaders.

“We’re going to give the audience a taste of what our Special Forces in the Department of Defense are working on, such as biometric recognition systems to spot adversarial attacks,” says Grant. “A lot of the same bad actors we saw in the Middle East are now targeting our banks. We’re getting hit everywhere.”

I am truly looking forward to meeting you in person at HMG Strategy 2019 Washington, D.C. CISO Executive Leadership Summit on Sept. 19. Please register now for this genuinely worthwhile and highly valuable conference.
