Alan is the Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a leading provider of microprocessors and related technologies for the business and consumer markets.    Alan is responsible for the company’s Information Technology strategy, architecture, development and management of the information systems portfolio, continued evolution of digital platforms, and operation of all supporting infrastructure.  Prior to AMD, Alan served as VP & CIO at Altera Corporation, and after acquisition by Intel, served as the GM of the Intel Programmable Solutions IT Group.  Alan received his EE bachelor\’s degree from the University of Coventry, UK, and his Masters in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK.
