Amish Patel is the Chief Technology Officer at Elevance, Inc., a Fortune 25 company with over $138 billion in revenue. He is responsible for advancing Elevance’s cloud journey, technology platforms, and exponential engineering to create the next generation of innovative digital capabilities. Leveraging AI, machine learning, and complex data analytics, Patel’s team is building the solutions to evolve Elevance into a digital-first platform for health.

Throughout his career, Patel has proven to be a visionary leader whose strategic integration of technology into all areas of the business has transformed how companies operate and deliver value to customers.

Before joining Elevance, Patel served as the CIO of Aflac subsidiary Empowered, where he led the development of an industry-leading benefit enrollment platform. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at BB&T, where he was appointed the CIO of Core Banking and led modernization initiatives around a suite of banking applications that accounted for roughly 60% of the bank’s yearly revenue.

Patel holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flager Business School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He currently serves on the advisory boards of Society for Information Management, HMG Strategy, and North Carolina Technology Association.
