Cate Heaman is a successful entrepreneur and CEO of Prelude Solutions, a woman-owned telecommunications consulting company that she launched in 2016. With 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Cate has a particular expertise in telecommunications, and her goal in launching Prelude Solutions was to set an example for other women to pursue entrepreneurship and to mentor and inspire them.
Cate\’s approach to business is grounded in personal and professional growth, leadership, mentoring, and giving back. She invests deeply in her team\’s education and provides opportunities for them to cultivate their own leadership and success. Her clear and concise vision and mission for Prelude Solutions engages her employees to identify their own core values and incorporate Prelude\’s core values, giving ownership to the team. Cate is known for her moral, ethical, and empathetic approach to business, and she consistently sets an example by giving back to non-profit clients and organizations and serving on a multitude of boards and nonprofits in the Philly and greater Philly region. Her contributions have been recognized by various organizations, including the Brava Award in 2011 and the Woman of the Year May 2015 award from PhillyMan Magazine.
As CEO of two separate organizations, Cate earned the Philadelphia100Forum® 100 Fastest Growing Company Award five times with three years running for Prelude Solutions. Cate is intimately involved in WBENC, holding positions within WBEC-East and encouraging women to become certified. Prelude also earned the DEI Honor
Award from WBEC-East in 2022, which recognizes a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within a company, industry, and community.
Cate believes in instilling confidence in the eco-system of her team, partners, and clients to achieve high performance and growth for all. Since January 2020, Prelude Solutions has tripled in size and revenue, a testament to Cate\’s leadership and business acumen. As a woman-owned business leader, Cate celebrates and advocates for the power of individual differences, and inclusion for all, and she has a passion for networking and giving back to the community.
Cate\’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Community Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology and Business from Wilkes University.
