Dan serves as Principal and Chief Information Officer for ZS Associates, a professional services firm whose experts work side by side with clients, leveraging analytics, technology and strategy to create solutions that work in the real world.  He is a proven leader in helping businesses innovate, move to the cloud, and rapidly scale.  His focus is to drive new booked business, develop innovative products, and get customers rapidly to ROI by combining strong leadership with a track record of building high performing teams.  Dan is passionate about developing IT leaders who align with the corporate strategy, with an eye toward revenue growth and profitability.  He leverages interpersonal skills and business acumen to connect with individuals at every level of an organization, truly interested in knowing what people need in order to optimize productivity and deliver on goals.

Dan spends a great deal of time implementing systems that help his firm’s employees securely collaborate, innovate, and work efficiently across different geographies. Combining hands-on experience in software engineering, new product development, security and cloud engineering, the protection of intellectual property, firm assets, and client information is incorporated into all his initiatives.

He has held the CIO and other senior leadership positions across many industries including pharma, healthcare payer and provider analytics firms, Fortune 500 media and entertainment companies, and Internet and Marketing leaders. 

He holds an MSMIT Master of Science degree from the University of Virginia, a Bachelor of Information Systems from Pace University, and was an MSMIT Advisory Board Member at University of Virginia for many years.

Dan is a native New Yorker who currently resides in Chicago with his wife Catherine.  He enjoys spending quality time with his four grown children who are busy pursuing careers in all different parts of the US.
