David Gerstle serves as Chief Digital Officer for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), the transit authority for greater Boston and 5^th largest transit authority in the nation. Prior to joining the MBTA, David worked in govtech for Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was proud to be part of the team of leaders turning around the Affordable Care Act’s healthcare.gov and Federally Facilitated Marketplace. With over 10 years of data, transportation, and govtech leadership, David now leads the premier civictech group in state & local government, using the modern tools of research, design, and technology to help riders use our transit system. David speaks and advises other organizations on how to move from project to product mindset and aligning technical and organizational approaches.
