Doug Schneider is SVP, Global Infrastructure Services. for the Canadian Division of Manulife Financial, a leading Canada-based financial services group with principal operations in Asia, Canada and the United States.

As CTO, Schneider is accountable for the alignment of the division’s technology vision with the company’s business strategy; working collaboratively with the diverse businesses within Manulife in missions ranging from enterprise architecture and shared technical services to risk management. His team’s goal is to integrate processes with technologies that deliver flexibility, agility, high quality and measurable shareholder value.

As modern organizations, increasingly, turn to technology to help them understand, manage, and adapt to change, Schneider sees how the role of IT has become fundamental to business strategy. Through leadership and innovation, the CTO team helps the business set and achieve its goals by effectively leveraging technology to understand what customers want, to get products and services to market more quickly, and stay ahead of the competition.

Prior to joining Manulife, in 2011, Schneider held many executive positions in top Canadian companies within the fields of financial services, telecommunications, consulting, sales and outsourcing. Doug Schneider holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
