Ganesh Murugan is the Head of Cyber Strategy & Execution. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing a holistic cybersecurity strategy with a robust operating model and driving the progress towards desired cybersecurity maturity. He’s been with the firm for about three and a half years. His responsibilities include establishing a robust cybersecurity program with maturity goals, developing annual roadmaps, overseeing budgeting/talent, process improvement, producing comprehensive CISO updates for the senior business leadership and executive committees including the firm’s Board of Directors and CEO on a regular basis to ensure ongoing buy-in and alignment of priorities, mobilizing cross-functional efforts on important priorities, driving well-thought out industry partnerships and ensuring that the cybersecurity strategy effectively supports the overall technology and risk strategy for the firm. In this capacity, he partners closely with the IT and Risk Management leadership and their teams. Prior to this role, Ganesh was with JPMorgan Chase & Co. for nearly 10 years, where he held many leadership roles. Most recently, he led an internal consulting and advisory team supporting the Global CIO and Global Technology Operating Committee, providing CIO advisory, governance and technology strategy for technology investments of approximately $10B and leading global transformation efforts. Before that, he spent several years designing and developing applications for major financial services firms in the US and Asia by leading engineering teams with end-to-end technical leadership responsibilities. Ganesh holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategy & Finance) from New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Anna University in India.
