Herman Brown is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. He has a distinguished career in information technology, with over 30 years of experience across various industries, including defense, manufacturing, healthcare, software development, advertising, and local government. 

• IT Strategy and Leadership: Herman oversees all technology services for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, ensuring that the IT infrastructure supports the office’s mission of promoting public safety and justice
• Cybersecurity: In addition to his role as CIO, Herman also acts as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the office, collaborating with the city-wide cybersecurity team to ensure robust data protection and compliance
• Digital Transformation: He has led the transition from a pen-and-paper organization to a modern, technology-driven office, implementing advanced software solutions like Everlaw to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Community Involvement: Herman is also involved in community initiatives, serving as the Treasurer and CIO for Global RNSC, an organization focused on bridging talent gaps in cybersecurity and social skills through training and development programs
