I’m responsible for System-level IT initiatives on behalf of more than 27,000 team members, 14 hospitals, 150 practice locations, and over 3,500 affiliated physicians at the University of Maryland Medical System.

I spend my days thinking about technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, informatics and applications critical to our ability to provide the highest quality care, like Epic.

I have nearly 20 years of experience as a working emergency physician, formerly serving as President of the emergency medicine practice at one of the busiest ERs in the state. This combined experience gives me a unique perspective in tackling some of our medical system’s most pressing clinical and operational challenges.

What gets me up in the morning is the opportunity to discover a new way that technology can improve the way we deliver healthcare and ultimately, to create a better state of care.
