She has been both “victim” and “torturer” when it comes to choosing and implementing technology, giving her a strategic perspective on the use of technology as a competitive weapon for the business.

Karla has held leadership positions at The Dow Chemical Company, Honeywell International, and ITT Corporation where she served as the Global Chief Information Officer. Her areas of expertise are in Business driven IT strategy, Customer facing applications, ERP, and Big Data. Her passion is to help companies harness innovative emerging technologies and win in the increasingly digital world. Karla is a keynote speaker on leadership, technology, and change management and has been quoted in CIO magazine and various books on leadership and innovation.

Karla holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree, area of specialty in eCommerce, from the University of Michigan. She is a self-professed alpha-geek and an avid fantasy football fanatic.
