Michael Rich is the Director of Security, Infrastructure & Operations at the Motion Picture Pension and Health Care Plans.  In this role he is the CISO and is responsible for all aspects of the Plans’ Information Technology security  posture to include strategy, planning, technical IT compliance, and daily security operations.  In addition he is responsible for the Infrastructure & Operations side of the house but thankfully has an amazing staff to keep him out of trouble.

Prior to the Plans, Michael served a full career in the Air Force in a large variety of leadership jobs ranging from supporting the Secretary of the Air Force to tactical deployed operations.  Between the Air Force and the Plans he was at MITRE and supported the GPS Program Office while also contributing to the ATT&CK framework.

Michael is an inveterate hacker and has never met a problem he didn’t try to solve with Python.  He has spoken at DEFCON, BSides Las Vegas, and several other IT security conferences.  He holds Master’s degrees from the University of New Mexico and Air University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.”
